  • we call these rope twist where im from...i been rockin mines for awhile now...did them 2weeks after my last perm took tht out a gud 8-10 weeks after wore my natural hair for about 2 weeks n now im all rope twist again

  • how long are the twist? did you cut the hair at all? and if yu didn't- where does it stop? sorry about the late comment :/

  • Your hair looks Beautiful! Im actually debating between the Twist or just getting my hair braided as I have them on the vid on my page. A few questions if you dont mind! Where did u get them done, who did them & how much was it? & wer u able to wet them? A few ppl have said that wetting them will cause them ti unravel & becuase I am natural I am a lil concerned about the frizz of my natural hair when dry. Thanku & pls feel free 2 visit my page, comment & subscribe! Stay blessed

  • does the lady you mentioned twist really tight...cause i use to get my hair braided aroung there and they had my edge real thin

  • I just got senegalest twists done, what can apply or do to keep them lasting long & nice with out breaking my edges! =)

  • thank yuh cuz im getting mine "house done" by a girl that I met at college they look pretty good so far shes not quite done yet so well find out how they turn out 2ma..

  • how did they keep your end of the twist straight without it unraveling??

  • @MolassesMajesty21 they dip the ends in boiling water, the hair is synthetic so it melts together somewhat, similar to if u were to burn the ends together

  • hey I was wondering did yuh have your twist braided at the top first or did they twist at the root.!??

  • your hair is so pretty and so are you thats why you look good with this hair style im getting my hair done before break is over i hope i look as pretty as you ...(: !$

  • looks really nice.. how much did u pay?

  • @bxboo823 140

  • @bxboo823 did they provide the hair? or did you have to get your own?

  • i know this is late for a video done almost 2 yrs ago but, how long are your twists? i was gonna get them done soon and i want mine longgggg! haha, yours looks like a good length.

  • @melanie4teen i kept them the length the pack came in

  • How do you take care of your hair so that months later it still looks like new.

  • omg you are so pretty!

    <3 the hair

  • Hi Ariella. Im going to the same spot you got your twists done in two days and I wanted to know if the twits were so tight that you felt they were pulling a little too much at your roots. I transitioning now and I don't want my new growth to be pulled and tugged on too tightly which im afraid will damage my roots. One of the first things Im going to ask of Alimatou is that she doesn't twist too tight especially around my edges

  • Your very pretty and so is your hair

  • where can u buy the hair or what is the hair called cuz I'm 14 and i want to get some while i transition. too many people get kinky twist and i want something different.

  • @dudealision it's regular braiding hair, can get it at a local beauty supply store i think it's the dollar packs

  • U're sooo pretty...

    No homo

  • You sound and look so much like Alicia Keys

  • your hair looks beautiful and so are you. You remind of one of my favorite music artist Mutya Buena. I've been considering getting the twist for awhile now. I live in NYC can you tell me what hair salon you went to?

  • they are reallly cute they fit u well

  • I loved this video very much. I have very natural curly hair and really dont know anything about hair but i am pregnant and dont want to worry about doing it. Anyways I was wondering what kind of hair you used and would you recommend I go to a african shop or what? Thanks so much hope to hear from you soon.

  • thank u! i actually just used regular braiding hair, u know like those dollar packs, nothing special, and yes i recommend an african hair braiding shop only because i went to one, the lady did a fantastic job

  • btw this style took 12 hours on me and two people were doing it UGH!!!

  • how much do they charge in the nyc area (harlem, brooklyn, bronx) because i paid 145 for mine in atlanta?

  • yea it was about 140 here too

  • Yay ! WE both survived the 5 month mark ! Congrats !

  • yea i'm trying for 2 months too, i'm almost one month down and they still look great

  • Your twist look gorgeous! Im in my 4th month. I had twist before but I had to take them out because my scalp irritated. I think it was the type of hair I used. But they really help hair growth. Good luck with your journey.

  • go for it! y not?

  • girl, i could only take it for like a month!!!! I tried washing my hair with them in, and it felt good but then my hair got toooo fuzzy =(
