  • THIS IS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SO FAKE!

  • Embossed layer chroma keyed onto what is likely a green baseplate for better masking. If it were real, minuscule lighting changes would be visible.

  • That must have taken forever

  • its not fake its green screen software

  • Lego the princess you monkey!

  • fake but cool

  • @Coolpikmin

    isnt fake dumbass

  • ITS OVER 9000% fake

  • 1000% fake

  • Fake, I can tell by the pixels.

  • Nice green screening

  • white screen effect?

  • sorry i lied so fake

  • STOP MOTION

    --------------------

  • You guys do know the way this guy makes lego videos is by using green legos and puting gameplay over it, right?

  • How the hell is it fake. Just because its not made out of lego doesnt mean its fake. Fucking hell.

  • FAKE! STUPID

  • YOU DIPSHITS ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FAKE

  • well respectfully, i regret that this is NOT lego, its pixels. but AWESOME!!

  • FAKE

  • You Suck

  • WHAT A IDIOT NUBESACK THATS NOT LEGOS

  • look like lego.... But still

  • GUYS SHUT THE FUCK UP! ITS NOT FAKE!

  • HOLY FLIP! HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?

  • This is an incredibly well done fake. Congrats.

  • Screw you. This is pixel animation. You mock the people who build fantastic stuff with LEGO.

  • NOT LEGO

  • OMFG thats just fukin normal!

  • hahahaha faake LOL

  • look how fat mario was it looks impossible for him to get up the latter lol just joking

  • This is played on an emulator and stretched out so it fits the size of lego.

But i dont care, cause it is cool to watch ;)

  • how is this lego?

  • this is an insult to people who do real pixel-lego animation. get a life

  • @Danspag15 i agree

  • 100% fake

  • @zclubzpenguinz

how to you know retard its stopmotion

  • @zclubzpenguinz its stop motion dipshit not fake

  • obviously fake, he just screened it and added it to the video. have you ever seen where a youtuber puts another video so it's like someones watching TV etc. this is that, but made a little transparent so you could see the briccks

  • i cant decide if it is lego or not. because this COULD be lego but mightve taken a few days

  • how long did this?

  • 1: Post GOOD comments.

2: This was not LEGO. Im just going to take a guess but I think he just recorded a cocktail pose machine somewhere.

  • 100% correct, this is NOT lego... there ARE lego blocks on the floor, HOWEVER.. the poster recorded gameplay of Donkey Kong, and then projected it over the blocks to make it appear that it was made with legos.. nice video and good idea, I would just like to see someone actually do it.

  • its not a pbp (picture by picture) technique,

its a blue screen technique (other color possible) or its a filter added, and zoom for 1 bloc = 1 pixel

  • it doesnt even LOOK like lego you fucking idiot

  • actually it does moron. you can make any old pixel game look like that

  • yeah whatever.. bitch

  • what a fucking noob

  • faker then paris hiltons breasts

  • fake they do not make lite green legos or pink so Fake FAke FAKe FAKE

  • ever heard of PAINT?

  • they actually do make that shade of green in lego but yeah this is probably fakke!

  • of course its fake!!!

  • I never said anything to the contrary

  • My pink Lego stuff says otherwise. So does the statue of liberty model.

There are also numerous off-brand products that scale with lego and come in more different colors.

  • Its either a projector or green screen

  • cool, what do you meen by its a prjector?

  • this is a zoomed recording of MAME with a filter applied over the top

  • is that real lego

  • @scammellman oviously that's an effect of put a video and the effect transforms video on pixels

  • projector rofl still cool

  • Its easy take a photo of a plate lego and a movie editor add a video

    thecnic of blue screen

use a background bluescreen register your move transfer on computer and replace this blue pis a movie or picture and up your a exemple in paris

  • i have forget

zoom your video for 1 pixel = 1x1 lego et hop

  • Awesome XD Ps this is real just look in the lower right corner!!

  • 1 word AMAZING

  • its a projector ahah

  • Alright everybody, I took a really close look and even made it bigger and in HQ and I saw cylinders!

It's real! For those who don't believe me, if you have a mouse with a thing to automatically scroll up and down, hold control (too make sure HOLD!), make sure the video is in HQ and scroll up, see cylinders (If not then you are possibly looking a the wrong spot, look everywhere, you will most likely see the cylinders in the bottom right corner)? On Mario? On the red iron bar?

  • Looks neat, but this is not LEGO or any other "live action effect" :P I assume it's an emulator, zoomed in about 400% + Adobe Patchwork filter (Square size 2, Relief 8). I still think it's cool looking, but why try and pass it off as LEGO's? Not even ILM could get it to animate that smoothly. :P

Now let's see a Pac-Man with the same effects!

  • I think there were supposed to be a hammer in a part, if it was on an emulator.

  • No doubt about it.. this is NOT REAL plain and simple. It was from an emulator. The hammer not being in it is not a reason to believe it's really LEGOs.. It's easy to delete in any editing program!

It's not even the original video btw.. search for Lego NES donkey Kong. There is also a SMB3 version with this description:

"It's *NOT REAL* It's gameplay from an emulator, "stretched" to fit over a photograph of a block of legos. Opacity turned down to let the texture of the blocks be visible"

  • watch?v=oYk6bbtJytk

I see that these two look alike.

Could it be rerecorded from a guy who might have made this? I hold strong suspicion here... (I'm not saying these guys copy one another, I'm just saying that they look alike and one gives a site...)

  • absolutely amazing! it must have took the guy ages to make this!

  • its not fake u fkers, look closely AGAIN idiots. nice vid 5/5

  • This is great! It must have taken a few hours to make!

Oh and for those douches, that say it isn't made out of legos, look at the bottom right corner, you blind dicks. And for those people saying it's fake, I know you mean it is not real, look at the right hand corner! There's your proof! >:( Noone understands how hard this person worked to make this. >:(

  • you guys cant really call it fake. what do you think he was trying to make you think? its not fake.

really, the comments on this video are hilarious. the only people watching lego mario videos are these stupid 12 year olds who think that pointing out errors in youtube videos makes them cool.

  • i agree im 15 and i think its real because you can also find all the colors in lego boxes

  • that wasint lego

  • It was, he put it at the side, you know, the four smooth sides of the lego.

  • No, wait, look at the lower right corner. See cylinders?

  • nice one

  • no afence but that was a video

  • What else is on YouTube, dumbass?

  • its fake, every1 knows it is

  • lol cool...?

  • if it was real, the square would move slightly. good job on the animation though

  • green base plate as a green screen

  • jeeze people thx for stating obviousness

  • That's Hardcore! That must of took forever!

  • you do know its fake right?

  • no not relly

  • if you cant tell it lego LOOK AT THE SHINE IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CONOR YOU CAN SEE LITTLE DOTS OR CYLINDERS KINDA

  • Fake..... look at the bottom right corner of the baseplate....

  • Mahboi1996:

GASP! Sherlock Holmes!?! Is that YOU???

(except Holmes had a personality and a sense of humor.)

  • fake

  • @blauebanane9 how are legos fake?

  • @blauebanane9 it's called a stop motin read descrition all u need is legos and a camera and picuters and this is spam

  • stfu, people like you ruin youtube

  • thats not lego

  • how long did that take

  • That must've taken FOREVER!

  • Look at the bottom right corner of the lego plate.

    ITS CLEAR!

  • there arent any black bricks, just color bricks, I can tell by the shadow

  • that was brilliant. good show.

  • awesome

  • I seriously think this was green screened but if it's real then GREAT!

  • NO READ THE DESC -.-

  • I know that, the title basically says it, but I still can't believe that and it's accuracy, with no mistakes or movement of the frame or any pieces, this seems really fake in my opinion... and don't believe everything that is said....

  • yea me 2

  • факе

  • is crazy (se si dice così)

  • looks more lke light bright.. but cool no less

  • I used to play DK pretty good and there is one secret in the first level of the game.

When you climb up the first ladder, you need one short strike on the joystick to move the Mario,a little bit, to the right (he must look to the left) and than branch backward to the right !

You`ll come immadeitely in the next level !

I am curious if someone else know this trick ...

  • a engañar a su madre

  • If you can't see that this is fake i feel sorry for you.

  • look around the very edges. none of them are part of the "animation" itself, and also, the whole flat surface never moves at all from the floor,if this was stop motion,he would have to move it around a little bit at the very least to re-arange the bricks.

    it's essencialy a green-screen effect,not stop-motion.

anyone who can't see that and thinks it IS stop gap,is basically,a complete and utter idiot.

  • i agree with you!

  • me three.

  • i agree that its green screen but for it to be stop motion, the base doesn't have to move around. it can be still as well if you stick it down

  • Its not green screen. Its a a program called after effects and you can just put a video you want on the screen so it lloks like that.

  • kinda right. he just used a chroma key and removed the green color of the brick laying sheet and then ran a recorded emulator screen and put it under. Maby i should make a video....................idk

  • whats a chorma key

  • its like a way to remove a color from a video, thats why people use lime green for green screens, because noone wears that color so they can remove the lime green and have whatever backround behind him.

  • I-Im wearing a lime green shirt!

    jeez

  • I had a feeling it was fake. What I though was that they had a projector aimed at a big square made of LEGOs on the ground and showed an animation on it

  • Close. He used a video editing program to "Green Screen" (meaning erase a color to an invisible one) the lego sheet. After it was virtually invisible, he inserted this clip of the Donkey Kong game for NES into the invisible area to give it the effect of having lego bricks over top of the video.

  • im glad im not the only seeing that its stupid how he thinks people would fall for that i was laughing at his stupidity

  • @EscapeAndEvasion someone else did it but had the honesty to say it was fake basically its a photo with a video of super mario streched over and then the emulator video is made a lil transparent to let the lego surface show through

  • there's no way this could be stop motion. It's way too fluid and plays EXACTLY like the game, and no one has the precision to recreate that manually without help from a computer or something. There's no change in shadows on the floor or no sign of the outside light getting brighter/darker. I guess the clear Legos at the bottom give the whole thing away. It's still nice trickery, judging from the people who think it's real

  • uhhhh the reason it looks like pixels, is because its a fucking 8-bit game. that can be easily recreated with lego. know how? 1 stud (bump) equals 1 pixel

    :O ITS MAGIC

    -___-

  • its not real

  • Wow Mustve Taken some time

  • If it was pixels, you bastards, we'd have seen that heart between Mario and Paulene.

  • That pixels 4 god sake ur noobs if u think its lego, i played it before and thats the game

  • lol such a noob, you go around calling everyone a noob yet you're the one not knowing what you're talking about. :P

You just basically gave the creator a compliment though, you said his work is so good it looks like the actual thing.

  • OMG NICE!!

  • omg so cool

  • looks like pixels

  • That must've taken a loooooooooong time to make.

  • I THINK IT LOOKS REAL AND IT IS REAL

  • if that was real than he would have no life

  • Ok thats fake but it looks real

  • Your right, Donkey Kong does LOOK like Lego! Was that your point?

  • he doesnt exspecte u to think its real

  • FAKE!

  • it may be fake, but thats better than anything i can do in a lifetime, cause im waaay too lazy to change every picture

  • well how they do it is like a blue/green screen and video game footage with special video filter to make it look like bricks, so it wasnt abounch of pictures

  • Fake but good!

  • It should be called "black sheet of Legos being used as a projector screen to make it look like a Donkey Kong stop motion!"

  • Maybe, but still, it's CLEVER!!!

  • Look at it 2 ways:

    1) He did a large sheet of LEGO and changed the whole thing for every picture

    2) He took lots of pictures of a grey LEGO sheet then flawlessly slapped a moving DK animation on it

Either way, this was amazingly well done.

  • #2 i found it out

  • How did you do that

  • its cool but is it legos?

  • that ia not even legos

  • Fake.

  • fake

  • why is this 3 1/2 stars???? this is awesome!!

  • its too good, stupid people dont understand that its lego

  • i didnt notice at first until i looked at the bottom of the lego board!

  • umm, another oldskool fan with plenty of free time... :) grats!

  • what is it really lego because you did not make the scene in Lego but the only way you could was to green screen it, blue screen it on lego ect.

  • ya i think struge is right.......

  • FAKER!

  • so crazy

  • you can see the blocks if you look at the platform on the bottom.

  • honestly, this is fake, just like the other few that were made. Its literally someone playing the game while recording it. After that, they stretch the video out so the pixels are big, and then overlap the video onto a picture of lego bricks. after that they just add the wooden frame background, and vuala! You have created a very convincing animation (although fake)

  • yes u can see on hte right corner there it is everytime a gray ground

  • Very good job

  • It is a tricked animation. The wooden panel background was video edited over it later. So the only thing that really was moving ... was Mario and the balls. Still nicely done ofc. But you can see it clearly when you look at the right hand corner.

  • not fake Nice

  • Wow, thats got to to be fake

if this video is real, Man, you Chuck Norris
