Actually, they were both wrong, having worked as a paramedic, the medic should have never left the patient unattended. That's neglect, the officer was wrong in keeping the ambulance detained once he was informed that there was a patient. In most states the paramedic is in control of any scene where a patient is involved. If the office had a problem then he should have addressed it AFTER the patient was handed over to the ER.

Actually he did none of those things, Im a COp myself. The ambualnce want unning code, Therefor it wasn't an emergency. He was under arrest for resiting arrest and failing to comply with police nstructions. The biggest threat to a Police officer is not knowing what could happen thats why they say and I heard the officer say " Get back in that ambulance".

He had right of way. The ambulance ( not running code) was like a civilian vehicle. They have to follow laws just like everyone else, If the ambluance was running code and the trooper wasn't, The them ambulance has right of way. Anything else? PM me.

Hand gestures or not! Their was a person who needed medical assistance. Apparently the male being choked informed the officer (idiot) that there was a person on board and ignored him. Since the idiot (officer) was so agitated he acted with aggression and did not consider the person in the ambulance who needed medical care. I think the "black" paramedic should never have gotten out of the ambulance. If he would have just let the trooper write the citation it would have taken a whole 3 minutes at the most. you need to understand that the cops were responding you a call for help from another officer.

the ambulance was not responding to an emergency.... it was transporting some one to the hospital...
