  • Donna Wilkes was BRILLIANT as Angel, however, she can not do live television. She sounds like she's reading, is monotone, and has no inflection. Brilliant in films, dud on television.

  • I don't rmember this at all.

  • @CAU98 This was not very popular. The only reason why I started watching it was because my high school took us on a field trip to see it filmed.

  • I don't rmember this at all.

  • I loved Ruthie!

  • Ruthie stole the show.

  • The reason McLean Stevenson " Lt. Col. Henry Blake" left M*A*S*H is that he is that he felt threatened by Alan Alda and he wanted to be # 1 in a show. Wayne Rogers who played " Trapper John" left also for the same reason at the end of season 3.

  • @level242 Thanks, I had a great time.

  • Radar!

  • Mac left M*A*S*H for this?

  • lol holy fuck that guy is so big, i bet he ate mercury

  • at least kim richards done something to earn her money...unlike her nieces.

  • was so in love with kim richards

  • The chick from JAWS 2?

  • HA HA. I can't believe youtube has episodes of this show. I remember I was about 9 when this came out, only reason I watched is they plugged the heck out of the show during the Super Bowl. Usually at that age, I'd go for any show where kids are involved. Not this one. Haven't seen the show for 30 years and agree with my initial feeling, what a lame show!!

  • Over-use of the laugh track. It's as if every single word is f'in' HILARIOUS.

  • Huh? That's a live studio audience.

  • My friend took all of his vhs tapes and copiesd them on to dvd for me so now I have the complete series.

  • i prefer krista errickson to this sister. which season was which in?

  • Now I can prove that this show actually existed and that Mclean Stevenson was a funny guy besides being on match game.

  • Used to have a big crush on Ruthie

  • Pretty cool late 70s apartment. Kind of reminds of One day at a time.

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid and enjoying it. Now that I'm adult and watching this for the first time in years - I can't imagine what McLean Stevenson was thinking when he left MASH for this.

  • Yeah, really...the sad thing is that it was his most successful post-MASH series(!).

  • i used to watch thios show -when i was a kid, i never realised how bad the writing was....

  • I watched a lot of TV in the 70s and 80s but I've never heard of Hello Larry.

I want to see the scene with the 70s era girls popper slumber party.

  • Be grateful.

  • in case someone here doesn't know what poppers are used for, they are used to give longer orgasms or something :L ask frank :P I read a booklet :O

  • Even McLeane couldn't save this show from the horrendous girl actors - they were terrible.

  • they are no julie or barbara[one day at a time] that's for sure.

  • Even Julie on drugs was better than this.

  • Diane is doing drugs? I guess art really does imitate life.

  • I have to admit, even though I'm more of a Donna Wilkes fan, Kim Richards sounds more natural with her lines and Donna sounds scripted. Although in the movie "Angel", she did a great job.

BTW, thanks for posting this. Would like to see more.

  • it's a shame that maclean didn't have any success after he left mash, he was pretty funny

  • My god is this lame. I haven't laughed once. I'll see if parts 2 and 3 are better, but probably not. No wonder why this show didn't make it.

  • Did Kim Richards play Prudence on Nanny and the Professor in the early 1970's?

  • Yes she did.

  • yes shed did (hehe my fave actor)

  • When this show was in production, Haley Joel Osment was not even born yet.

  • is that haley joel osmet

  • This is good.

  • Thanks for posting I saw the intro and wanted to see a show. That apartment looks like it has been used before in a show.

  • @prayer4you08 Yes its right next door to Good Times the only white family in the Cabrini Green Apartments in the South side of Chicago.

    They never got out alive
