Beautiful sound... I saw an instrument similar to this in the movie Blade of Fury (1993) Martial Arts movie , I looked it up somewhat , there are many different instruments a Se, Qin , and many others , I enjoy playing classical guitar , as well as electric guitar.. I;m very impressed with your video here.
Gracias a los amios que lo han enviado.... sorprendente...las diversas formas de nuestro sentido músical.......que hacen calmar en su ansiedad...a todo ser viviente...incluida a las más temibles fieras,,,,,,
Not really. The first half is an extract from the ancient guqin tune "Three variations of Plum blossom", the second half is from "Ba Wang Xie Jia". Madame Chalifoux gives the best review for Liu Fang's music in this TV show.
Such a pitty. I was hoping that she would play the entire ballad of "Three varations of Plum Blossom." She seems to bring beauty that surpasses the gugin. -sigh-
The guzheng solo called "three variation of plum blossom", transcribed from an ancient guqin tune of the same title. The whole piece is found in Liu Fang's guzheng solo album. Just search the google for "Liu Fang guzheng album".
This is about as close to a religious experience I've EVER come.
I believe that instrument in the beginning is a "se"? If so, can someone PLEAAASE tell me where to get one of these. price is no matter, for I am in love.
It's guzheng with 21 strings. It is said that guzheng is derived from se. The latter is much more older than the guzheng, You may want to do a google search for more information,
It is tuned pentatonically. However, by pressing the strings on the left side of the bridge, one could get basically any tone, so to speach, to make a full chromatical scale, depending on the skill of performers of course.
Like hjade007 said it's tuned pentatonically. The basic tuning goes from D (two octaves below middle C) D-E-G-A-G D-E-G-A-G etc up to the D two octave above middle C.
oh my god this is magic!
