@stevisko1 The Mig 21 was better in the horizontal turning while the F-4 with its more power was better vertically. It came down to pilot skill. I know about Indias' purchases f the MKI but that doesn't make it better. Why else would they buy the Rafale? @packr72 I've actually read the entire thing- and a good chunk of von Clausewitz too. You're completely misinterpreting that. First off, he's only talking about offense there. If you have more units, you can negate your advantage by recklessly attacking a prepared defender (see Cannae, Thermopylae, Crecy, etc.) This does not mean having more forces isn't an advantage, only that it isn't a war-winning one. Even so, sheer weight of numbers can in fact win you a battle- just maybe not the war.

Since conjecture is fun though, I'll point out that the F-22 is stealthy and the SU-37 is not. That is a crushing advantage in modern air warfare.

in my opinion the f-22 is better at its high speeds due to its sleek design. the su-37 is made for low speed combat thus why it has cannards. the cannards are only good at low speeds but when it accelerates the cannards create more drag making it hard to keep up with the f-22. also the f-22 has stealth capabillities making it hard to target. they are both great aircraft and its hard to compare them but me personally would rather fly the f-22.

I know about Indias' purchases f the MKI but that doesn't make it better. Why else would they buy the Rafale? F-22 has a better thrust velocity ratio than the SU-37 and unique stealth capabilities.Concealed weapons which really does help the F-22 which reduces the drag when pulling tight turns/supercruise or in afterburners.The SU-37 may be manueverable but it was never thrown into production,it was only an experimental fighter.Besides the stealth capabilites of the F-22 can shoot down an SU-37 five miles out with a sidewinder,maybe even further depending if it is carrying Sparrows.F-22 would surely win

Nothing else comes close to the F-22, perhaps because both are a Eurofighter aircraft with an almost perfect fusion of sensors, electronics, combined with a very low radar signature and to top supported by the best available electronic warfare, replenishment systems best coverage, air command, you better stop here. guyz its simple...in these days the most useful weapon is which's not so heavy or lite...u need to balance...when saying that F22 has a better capacity of carrying shells...it makes it heavier which is bad for it..cuz when it goes in a fight with the su37 the first shot is what matters...and the first shot depends on the speed and the radar...not on how many shells it can carry...so losing f22 is much more expensive than losing a su37...then i would choose the su37

@packr72 I've actually read the entire thing- and a good chunk of von Clausewitz too. You're completely misinterpreting that. First off, he's only talking about offense there. If you have more units, you can negate your advantage by recklessly attacking a prepared defender (see Cannae, Thermopylae, Crecy, etc.) This does not mean having more forces isn't an advantage, only that it isn't a war-winning one. Even so, sheer weight of numbers can in fact win you a battle- just maybe not the war.

@SpartiuS94 The T-50 is a prototype. Prototypes don't fight. For that matter, so is the SU-37, so this video is pretty meaningless. Don't get me wrong, both of those are impressive looking demonstrators and no doubt could be formidable if they enter production. But they haven't, so it's a moot point, and any combat comparison is sheer conjecture.
Since conjecture is fun though, I'll point out that the F-22 is stealthy and the SU-37 is not. That is a crushing advantage in modern air warfare.

in my opinion the f-22 is better at its high speeds due to its sleek design. the su-37 is made for low speed combat thus why it has cannards. the cannards are only good at low speeds but when it accelerates the cannards create more drag making it hard to keep up with the f-22. also the f-22 has stealth capabillities making it hard to target. they are both great aircraft and its hard to compare them but me personally would rather fly the f-22.
