i tatally understand what he mean whit: its a cold time, but also a warm time.

its cold becouse: the whether of corse but also becouse the winter weder is unvorgiving. if i sicle to school and there is a lot of snow im most leave urlier to come in time, it cost moore energy and you have a lot of chance to fall.

and worm becouse: if you come home after being outside and you gonn sit on the vcoutch whit you're famely it gives you a warm feling in you sol.

I was born on the 21st of December and got this CD as a birthday present. It feels so completely right for this winter season with its celtic and christian roots. Sting mixes them in a very personal way and the outcome is beautiful and very moving poiece of art.

i saw yesterday the concert of his new record on tv and i come to the conclusion that my decision is fractional right. he played for example ghost story and the hounds of winter but only as an encore or something like that, but he did it great ;-) in my opinion there are only a few songs like soul cake which are good enough to stay in my mind. thank you =)

my mother got that album today I couldnt believe it was the real star sting. Respect to him doing music that is not that popular/mainstream

Used to really like many of Sting's songs, but this album - most of the songs esp the 'cold song' - makes one feel really gloomy and cold. not suitable for Christmas season; more like winter in the war zone. Lots of groaning and moaning. So far I feel only 'The hounds of winter' has a nice tune.

Very melancholic album - sounds like the end of one's time.

Amazing why I picked this album. I must be dying.......

...no man, you're alone. expecially if you call this musical evolution/experiment of him shit. sting is one of the most clever contemporary musicians, culturally far from the rock star cliche and THAT'S what we all must agree with. and it's plain stupid fron you beliving anyone would agree this is crap.

Actually, I do not agree with you. Sure, Sting did something new. But I think this is the beauty of music and I was very happy that someone is still recording that spiritual music. In my opinion this is a masterpiece of music.
