  • When I was 6 my dad took me to a guy he knew who raised birds to get a budgie. He was a well known oriental artist. His partner had huge greenhouses right there on their lawns. I never forgot the sight of hundreds of plants etc and the warmth and the smell and mix of dirt and flowers. NOTHING more puts you at peace.

  • This video is, indeed, wonderful. I visited the garden on February 7, 2004 and it was abloom with a magnificent array of flowers. I fully agree with the writer who said that we southerners have a wonderful abundance of floral and tree life unlike anything "up north". And, I grew up in Massachusetts with my mother and dad being horticulturists both by vocation and avocation. Sadly, they never learned to appreciate the south's wondrous array of wild and cultured flowers, shrubs and trees.

  • This is wonderful. The south doesn't get more beautiful! Visited the Garden in 2006 and it was very very nice.

  • I agree! People can make fun of us "southerners" all they want, but we live in one of the most beautiful placea in the world.

    Thanks for the nice comment.:)

  • @wildstar1 yes we do, awesome place to visit

  • one thing thats missing from that garden is a swimmingpool in the middle of it... very impressive

  • lol, There're a couple of koi ponds, and, it''s right on the bank of the beautiful Fowl river. Great for swimming. This is a lovely place to visit, anytime of the year, but the holidays are spectacular. I wish I lived there.

    Thanks for watching.:)
