  • yes but wt about the amaizing solo from Ritchie???

  • hey it's not stolen anyway .. deep purple and it's a It's a Beautiful Day changed thear music.. deep purple gave wring that neck and they gave bombay calling :))

  • Heck, there is much more than a strong similarity going on here! It's the exact same song!

  • Who the hell are deep purple?

  • this is stupid

  • fuck you!

  • this is a perfekt song i love this

  • Ouh les vilains Purple plagiaires !!!

  • Nick Simper also identifies It's a Beautiful Day's Bombay Calling as a tune "which Mark II borrowed, and turned it into Child in Time"; Ian Gillan [10] confirmed this in several interviews. It's a Beautiful Day in return borrowed Purple's "Wring that Neck" and turned it into "Don And Dewey" on their album Marrying Maiden. Blackmore also confirmed some of these claims in a Japanese TV interview

  • Yes, Blackmore stoled it. Whatever, he made it better anyway...

  • @celer1ty2

    Jon Lord stole it!

  • @celer1ty2 Ritchie didn't steal it. Jon Lord has publically admitted he "stole" the riff.

  • It's A beautiful Day didn't write Bombay Calling, Neither did David laFlamme

the person who wrote Bombay Calling is a hard bop saxophonist named Vince Wallace search "vince wallace bombay calling"..you'll see

  • Shit, i just got to the end and they put the fuckin' title up..oh well lol

  • switch sound off, see if you can guess what song Purple are playing in the video..and it's NOT Child In Time

  • It's A Gypsy's Kiss

  • No that's something else

  • so it's Bombay calling played over a video of Purple..we all know Blackers " borrowed " the riff for this song,he borrowed others, like Fascinating Rythym, which he turned into " Burn ".... but later this band stole Wring That Neck from Purple..score so far 1-1

  • yeah but the thing is, deep purple stole riffs of a lot of songs, for example "black night", the riff is from "we ain't got nothing yet" by the blues magoos

  • it looks like child in time modified

  • sexy song

  • I remember ,'It's a beautiful day' performing, 'Bombay Calling' live, I saw it on youtube last year. I guess it's sadly been removed. I have the album.

  • deep purple freely admitted to stealing this, the band they stole it from completely ripped a deep purple song in turn....so shut up already

  • Led Zep stole a lot of blues tunes too but that doesn't make it right. Sucks to find out my fave DP tune is a ripoff. Ditto w/ Come Together by Beatles.

  • listen "Taurus" by Spirit...

  • 'Taurus', it's 'Stairway to Heaven', isn't it ?

  • shit Blackmore stolen that

  • he doesn't steal that... he was inspirated by .... !

    music works often like that.

Anyway Child in time is a quite different song

  • Child in time (In Rock) recorded in 09/1969

  • Better than Lupin III !!! Great song indeed!

  • LOL But DP makes it much more better.

I like it a bit but I prefer Child in time:P

  • How many royalties to It's A Beautiful Days?

  • Ritchie Blackmore a thief ?

  • yes... Deep Purple copied this one. "Bombay Calling" was edited in 1969, "Child in Time" in 1970... ad you can clearly hear the similarity...

  • @CGsoft not copy, borrowed :)

  • @soylem they "borrowed"the riff.....wrote there own lyrics,and guitar solo.....and made a classic! then"its a beautiful day" "borrowed" one right back!...sadly,it wasnt a classic though...ha ha ha.

  • @soylem

It`s a Beautiful Day did not write Bombay Calling. It was written in 1962 by Vince Wallace. Purple heard It`s a Beautiful Day playing Bombay Calling and were inspired to write Child in Time.

  • @Alirkson thx for this information bro.
