I thought it was that you couldn't die...but being immortal doesn't mean you aren't suceptible to being hurt...or I don't know....i guess if you are right.....it makes one wonder why the dog talisman is needed at all O_o

yea, remember when Shendu rewrites history, then Jade convinces Jackie and Uncle to rebel against him, then they take out talismans out of him while he's asleep then he wakes up and blows fire on jackie, but jackie didn't get any injury or anything since he had the dog talisman ( I'm guessing it acts like a barrier to all harmful things to the user )

you are right...even in the episode where the dog with the talisman power tried to stop Dao Long Wong from blasting jade and company, the dog didn't get hurt....hmmm...it should be reconceptualized as imperviable to harm and age than immortality...but that's a cartoon for ya....
