Abe Lincoln basically took the constitution out behind the woodshed and beat it till it couldnt stand up. And he was perfectly right to do so. Weak Fed equals weak country, strong Fed equals strong country. The trick is in the balance. Decent social programs are a requirement for a country to keep its base support.
