I am really sad I haven't heard of this band up until now. I love the way the drums seem offbeat at times.

And yes, I am one those people who came here from the Hives. Do not group us in with MTV worshippers. No, really.

This is kind of Hilarious, but also irritating. In the music video "Main Offender", by the Hives, a band called the negatives steal their music scene and the Hives have to find and fight them. So every Hives fan that watches that video looks up "The Negatives" and fails to realize that this song is called "The Negatives", not by the Negatives, which is why these two totally different bands are being compared.

Comparing The Hives to Hood is a waste of time. They have a different sound. I would say Hood has a more creative and original style where as The Hives are a great band and rock but they seem to appeal to the mundane masses. They are way more tv and radio friendly and lack originality. PLUS they are TOTALLY doing a Rolling Stones thing...ESPECIALLY that Mick Jagger rip off lead singer. Hood BY FAR are way more of the times, helping music evolve not completely resurrecting a retro rock sound.

Aesthetic incongruence does not allow for drawing even the least silhouetting parallel between the Hives and Hood. The Hives are acceptable when it comes to buzzing around and if one revels in being flagellated by emptytv, whereas Hood is of pleasure to those who do not take Peter Shaffer for granted. Kidding...(a bit, though)

I meant regarding their sound, these guys aren't bad; it was a compliment.

I prefer The Hives' sound to Hood. But that is just a personal opinion, obviously not shared by everyone, and I do not expect them to.
