  • There should be NO "REPRESENTATIVES" of the people, all laws/ initiatives should be subject to an internet vote by all the citizens. There should be NO private corrupt Fed, any central bank should be government owned. Check the "Web of Debt" blog for economic truth.

  • capitalism is not the problem,. corruption is and if you think corruption would not egsist in a socialist system then you are crazy. The entire system is rigged to benefit a few people in a disproportionate manner. Politics and finance willl always breed corruption and untill people start focusing more on electing quality local people in their states corruption will remain at high levels

  • MICHAEL MOORE IS ONE OF THE BRAVEST MEN ON THIS PLANET!

THANK YOU MICHAEL FOR SHINING A LIGHT ON TRUTH !

  • Geithner Squirm Over AIG and Goldman Sachs

    Geithner --> Jew

    President of AIG - Jew

    President of Goldman - Jew

They all walked away with huge bonus from our tax money

    In my opinion

  • Michael, are you a coward? How come you never mentioned bad guys in your documentry are Jews.

  • @toplawyer2007 Maybe he's not a racist!

  • jewish Goldman Sachs

  • Michael moore willfully fails to make the distinction between Crony Capitalism (AKA Corporatism) and free markets. He then demonizes the concept of free markets and points to Corporatism as if it is a result of free markets, advocating Statism and Communistic policies in its place. This type of positioning is based on so many logical fallacies, and is intellectually dishonest.

  • yeah Moore, let's expose Goldman Sachs and their grip on our government, but ONLY to the extent that it doesn't expose the ''Progressive'' role in the whole thing. Of course we just KNOW it's only Goldman Sachs and the GOP. Right? Let's trash Capitalism and espouse the virtues of a Collectivist worldview even though Goldman Sachs and the rest of the globalist elites finance your entire ideology and benefit the most from Socialist/Leftist governmental policies.

  • @dgbassassassin -- hey genius, guess which party Wall Street banks are currently bank-rolling for 2012

    It's not the Dems.

  • Capitalism brought the world out of the stone age.

  • I think the reason the republicans are in control is because they fixed the voting machines just as they had the Supreme Court fix the election for Bush

  • Comment removed

  • it's perfectly logical to state that gov' dont control shit!.....Do u really believe a country would survive another decade if all the gov' officials were bunch of morons? Bush, a perfect example....many more senators, congressman...and i dont even think Obama is any better.

  • Goldman Sachs is the best and the strongest. Its survival of the fitest, and only the strong survive. Either get down or lay down......stop crying and bitching about it....the have vs. the have not...the winner vs. the loser....and Goldman vs the world baby...and Goldman will always be the winner

  • @Thirstd7 you don't understand it

  • @Thirstd7 Um,if it really was "survival of the fittest", then they should have received NO help from the government..they most certainly did not "survive" till now because they were the fittest..they were helped out.so, even though I think your (ill)logic is screwed up&wrong to begin with, even if it WAS the right way to think, your logic is self-contradictory..as, if it really was "survival of the fittest", then Goldman would've been destroyed nearly 4 years ago. You don't understand it.

  • i tell people about how gold-man sacks has fucked us and runs our government and all they can talk about is a damn football game. the fluoride and haarp mind control has destroyed american men!

  • The whole damn mortgage crisis can be attributed to Lloyd Craig Blankfein. He sold the mortgages and then bet against them knowing they were bad investments. Very "Jewish" of him!

  • Michael Moore a fat progressive piece of shit!

  • goldman and the tride are raping the usa and the world financial markets, always have been.

  • Whos the Don,is the real question.

  • well Michael Moore got it half right, we still need to take down the federal reserve because that is the biggest reason why people keep losing wealth.

  • Moore is such an idiot. Doesn't he knwo that what Goldman Sachs did would have never been possible without the federal government which he seems to love so much? The Housing Market crashed. That lead to derivatives being made and Goldman Sachs reaping the benefits of them. Here is the thing. If it wasnt for Moore's stupid democrat hero presidents, FDR, Carter, and Clinton, passing bad legislation the housing market never would have crashed.

  • "I think there is going to be an investigation of Goldman Sachs," Moore said 7-8 months ago. Sure enough!

  • Nothing will change until you take the MONEY out of the political system. Since when should it be allowed that a legal construct, the corporation, should be allowed to corrupt the policies of the government with their lobbyists?? If the public airways were mandated to broadcast political messages as a condition of their licensing, then alot of political fundraising would no longer be necessary.

  • Unfortunately that means electing Senators willing to vote the profit out of politics. How likely is that? Everybody joins MoveOn or PDA or some similar group is the only answer I can think of. The other answer is electing a strong, progressive president. This is more likely than getting laws governing the airwaves changed.

  • Goldman Sachs is a bank owned by Zionist Jews. They use it to suck the American working people dry.

  • I love the idea of a government run health care plan, but somehow I see it ending badly with the grossly incompetant way the US government seems to handle things.

  • No one died when Michael Moore made a profit.

So why aren't you up in arms over dick Cheney's Halliburton who is guilty of killing our soldiers in Iraq for profit?

And since you are so against making a legitimate profit, then you are so against capitalism.

Since you're not a capitalist, then what are you? Marxist? Socialist? Fascist? Communist?

  • here is an idea since I keep reading so many "anti single payer" postsers out there who want more competition in the health care market. Why not lobby the gov't to tax the hell out of huge corps to fund their own competitive system and play with the big boys ? Fed corps exist in many counties, operating and competing for business like any other.

  • Under the preamble of our constitution, our federal government MUST act to protect the people of the U.S. The Nation is bankrupt & Wall Street did it! The privet banking interests are looting us through bailouts! If we put the Financial system through Bankruptcy, we can get our bailout money back. We were swindled by Wall Street! Bankruptcy will expose their crimes. That's what FDR did. That's what LaRouche wants to do. YouYube: LaRouche EMERGENCY ADDRESS TO US PRESIDENT

  • LaRouche EMERGENCY ADDRESS TO US PRESIDENT

    - he too busy is to get the beatles albums banned.

  • LaRouche supporters continue to alienate both the left and the right. That is one thing that brings the Democrats and the Republicans together, their hatred for the LaRouchers.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results.

After over 20 years of this completely idiotic Post Office campaign strategy, one would think they would finally get it. But they don't, and that is why The LaRouchers are all quite insane.

  • Lets take back our government , kick all the bastards out of Washington who are serving the Corporations and not THE PEOPLE!

  • You jump to conclusions! This problem is so big that it pales to comparison of these topics. Let's look at the Big Picture of World Wide Politics. The idea of those in charge was to level the playing field, to lower our standards & raise others. So they shipped out our companies & jobs. Very effective. Here we are! They guys in charge are socialists, not me.

  • I posted a statement that got two thumbs down. Unbelievable that anyone would not agree that corporations were a good idea until the greedy bastards started squeezing the lowly worker. CEO salaries were a million dollars. Today, 15 yrs later, that is chump change. And everyone looks away and does nothing while salaries are lowered & health care declines. Evil happens when good men do nothing.

  • Corporation are a terrible idea as admitted by many of the US founding fathers. Especially when they were given national rights above those of individual.

    Read or watch "The Corporation"

  • The problem with a corporation is the government sponsorship of corporate personhood. Which all true fiscal conservative reformers see as unconstitutional. The idea of a corporation is to deflect liability. That is the part that we object to. Furthermore I would go a step further and say that you have to do business under your own good name, rather than a corporate shell. You will be a lot less likely to see abuses if we make the owners individually liable for their business. No socialism needed

  • David,

Ok, you understand parts of the problem I see however I am confused by your negativity regarding what socialism could be under democracy of a popular nature and movement. Like in Venezuela and Bolivia when their is a much greate level of functioning democracy then in the US.

  • You call a system with a beloved leader who has lobbied to be in power for life a model for a functioning social democracy? Your entire argument is based on a totalitarian socialist regime that has state run media and routinely persecutes capitalist dissent. Unbelievable... See what happens when you put the unproductive in charge? They elect a king because they are too weak to run their gov't without an Iron Hand. Elected Feudalism. Yeah, bad idea...

  • David,

Sorry, I have to go to bed it is almost 11pm in Paris, good night

  • David,

You do realize that it is Socialism that created almost every major industry in the US? It enabled MicroSoft to exist as Bill Gates in principle admits.

  • I'm aware of state run monopolies-- i.e. big business. Along with their non capitalist barriers to entry-- the hallmark of a gov't plan. The gov't is more anti competition than Standard Oil. these days..

  • David,

    More specifically State-Capitalism

  • I have never heard of "The Corporation? Is it a feature movie?

  • Hello Tone,

"The Corportion" is a movie also and you can find it on youtube.

To give it a modern context I suggest listening to David Harvey's "A Brief History of Neoliberalism."

  • The shareholder will defend his system to its death. You take this idiot to a sweat shop in china or downtown LA. You show him the underpaid workers & slave conditions. You say "look at what this system you profit from does to people! Shouldn't the money you make off their production go to them? Is money more important to you than people? He says "Im Rich". This idiot sits in our White House today. Lets return to the American system of economey.Google: LaRouche American Sysytem of economics.

  • Get your Chinese pitch forks and ropes

  • Why do you think Michael Moore needs to be investigated. He has done nothing wrong except point out the evil that man does. And Bush & Cheney investigated him all they could. Threatened to charge him in fact for going to Cuba. MM has a ton of fact checkers for his movies so he won't get sued. Is it hard for you to imagine that there is one guy out here who has nothing to hide?

  • I'm a small business owner who's been under the poverty line and drowning in debt most of my life, I pulled myself up by my own bootstraps with no employees and no bailouts. I worked hard and delivered top of the line service. I was forced by the market to perform-- To better myself. That spirit should be promoted. Libertarian socialism --- maybe when we master matter-energy transformation like in star trek and can replicate everything for free, or next to nothing. Bottom line- It's fantasy...

  • Until sci fi becomes reality, the means of production needs to have consequences for not performing, rather than guaranteed pay for minimal level of quality. I'm not out to convince you, rather to point out to readers who just think Micheal Moore is cool because he hated Bush, that other--smarter Libertarian economists hate Bush MORE, and have real ideas that don't involve a massive government that eventually become tyrannical. Big governments turn into authoritarian states.

  • Not one historical example can be found to negate that statement.

  • Let's hope you don't sell anything that Walmart or Costco sell because you can't match their prices so how long can you stay in business. Like wise for lumber yards and dress shops. The big chains have all of the advantages due to politicians doing favors for importers.

  • They have those advantages because they lobby gov for special treatment. Or they actually provide the cheapest and best service. So, if someone can't produce a good or service for a low quality, you think they shouldn't be required by the market to do something they excel at? They should just get to keep providing crappy products, prices and services by your logic. That actually goes against Marx who said "from each according to his ability". Like most socialists, you sound more like a fascist.

  • David,

"The cheapest and best service", said like a true Neoliberalist tryannt without regard to the effect of the lowest price on the standard and quality of life of the people who work there and subsequently the resources their society obtains after granting corporate facism the right to exist parasitically.

  • Nice leap. A lot of people who believe as you do try to bring up off shoring like fiscal conservatives actually support it. Wrong. Right and true one point you made is that globalizing the workforce is a neo-liberal position. I advocate a system with barely any taxes, and simple regulations that don't put up barriers to entry. The world has always had cheap labor, but it didn't become more cost effective to offshore UNTIL massive taxation and regulation plagued the American industrial sector.

  • David,

Your english is so bad in your posts I am not sure what your point is in the first sentence or two.

  • Please cite any examples of grammatical errors that can't be attributed to abbreviations for space constraints. My sentence structure is now in question? Running the Alinsky playbook I see. I'm too smart for that. Keep trying to skirt over the government controlled extortion racket by puling red herrings out of a jar... You truly have no clue about American politics, which is clearly evident by your woefully incorrect attempt to tie me with neoliberalism. I'm not neo-anything... And proud!

  • David,

    You stated

I advocate a system with barely any taxes, and simple regulations that don't put up barriers to entry.

Your post above is parellels the Neoliberal mentality that has caused the current and previous crisis. Are you familar with Neoliberalism. On youtube their is a realistic historic analysis of Neoliberalism by David Harvey: "A Brief History of Neoliberalism." I am not sure if you understand it.

  • I am talking about American Neoliberalism, which is in fact the globalists whole want an integrated planet. They want a gov't answer for everything. I don't know what a neoliberal is in Paris, but in the U.S., it's liberals who aren't afraid to bet in bed with corporations. The neoconservatives share the same views on off shoring. They too trumpet a borderless society. You really have no argument here, and I am not going to spend considerable time on this topic.

  • David,

    I am american

  • Well you are way out of touch with main street to say the least.

  • More like a failure of Collectivism... But I mince words... I don't object to common sense rules and selling fake products like derivatives should be illegal. But the fact remains that Democrats have big Wall Street ties these days, and your liberal movement needs to come to terms with that if you are to achieve YOUR goals. That doesn't change the fact that Clinton pushed for "housing reform" that led to the easy credit bubble that is currently popping all over us. That was socialism. It failed.

  • Actually what caused the recession was the pumping up of subprime lending, stimulated by Congress to provide low income housing for about a decade. Then, Wall Street, which supports Obama repackaged that debt and sold it to pensions and foreign investors. If most liberals understood economics and the means of production we would have a lot less arguments. The real culprit is corporate personhood. Not capitalism.

  • We live in a Republic. Capitalism is essential to freedom. Without economic freedom you have no liberty.

  • Goldman Sachs donated a bunch of money to Obama's campaign. His Treasury secretary was head of the New York FED at the time of the collapse, and was a derivatives cheerleader. The Democrats have learned to be corporatist too. And they are doing it better than Repubs. The question is does the means justify the ends? I say no.

  • Keep bitching about your Lord and Master at GS and the next time,we'll REALLY wreck the economy. While your digging thru dumpsters for food, we'll be enjoying Peruvian flake, $30,000 bottles of wine and the finest caviar from Russia.

    shoSHUT UP!

  • Awesome

  • your movie sicko was such a fucking SOFTBALL

why did you WASTE such a golden opportunity to show America just how scary it really is?

WHY'D YOU LEAVE OUT THE 40,000,000 PEOPLE THAT HAVE NO HEALTH INSURANCE in a movie about HEALTH CARE!

What's your angle man? why you being such a pussy mike?

  • He did the same thing on his Bush Movie. Total Softball, I don't get it either.

  • Moore gets the economic story right. How is it that Moore's father could buy a house and raise a family on the income of one auto worker, and have a pension for his retirement? This is not possible today? The answer is not complicated: in the first half of the post-War era, employees shared in the gains from productivity growth; since 1973, most of them have hardly done so at all. Reagan's roll back of labor relations brought about the most massive upward redistribution of income in US history

  • Michael is doing more than any of us to share what he knows. Don't forget, a team of lawyers have their say about how far he can go without getting sued.

  • If you like documentaries, watch Bush Crime Family, Clinton Chronicles, and Obama Deception. If you just judge the documentary by who made it, or was behind it, your an idiot. Many did the same thing with MM, and they lost out on a lot of information to research. There all on youtube. I don't think MM put his up. If he did, let me know.

  • capitalism is CEOcommunis...billion dollars gifted to the CEOs and shareholders, responsably of the great bail out !

  • micheal is the man!

  • goldman sachs picks the president of the us and michael moore has been right about most of what he has said the last decade.wall street is crumbling thanks to people like john thain and jeffrey skilling

  • well why isn't everyone a Corp. or an LLC ?

then you pay Taxes after your expenses, like electric, car payment, all that stuff, Tell your Boss I will work for you but pay me as a consultant or independent contractor, then your in control

  • Actually, our birth certificate makes us a corporation automatically by printing our name in all capitol letters instead of only the first letter being caps. They did this because the founding fathers made it so an individual can't be sued to the point of losing their home, like in old England. The way around it was to make you a corp and then you are fair game.

  • Well what happens is the BC makes you a citizen

of the USA , you become property of the state,

But the IRS will not see you that way, you have to incorporate, to to take advantage of the tax benefits.

  • Also you can file for Sovereignty, and then you can have diplomatic immunity from all the laws of this United States.

  • Agreed. And actually tax business! With incorporation laws and loopholes, business is taxed less the individuals!

  • You answered your own question quoting me. "With tax money bonuses!" They cut off a nice slice of the stimulus money and give it to these already obscenely rich fuckers! Because Mistress #3 needs a new boob job, or something!

  • why does america hate michael moore?

  • I didn't know Michael Moore was "Anti-Capitalism". Isn't that the word the announcer used?

I don't think he has problem with the companies making profit if they play by the rules.

He has a problem with them making profit by influencing the government. And it's not a capitalism we are talking about here.

  • When talking about socialism, what defines it is not government. Some socialists dont want government at all and Karl Marx wrote that communism is the class and STATE FREE society. Of course not all dictators through history agreed...

the whole world is basically capitalism and there are state as far as i can see. People seem to think there is no libertarian socialism.

  • are you talking about anarcho-syndicalism or social libertarianism? sort of the same. I know Chomsky advocates that.

  • DDBOOGER...yeah ...he is talking about the anarcho-syndacalism or social libertarism...

  • Well yeah, that for instance. Syndicalism is more like a method than an ideology. Reclaiming power from government and corporations through the unions. Anarchism and Syndicalism are labeled libertarian socialist ideas. But not everyone use that term as the word "socialism" obviously has a million meanings ranging from dictatorship to free market to anarchy.

  • get 'em michael...

  • There are many Anti-Price system advocates in Canada. It's a minority but there are many.

  • you go Michael Moore!!!! The world needs more people like you!

  • It's interesting to note that the stimulus given to these idiot CEO's would have giving the average family in the USA $250,000 each.

I don't know about you Micheal, but I'd trust the average family with that kind of money than wall street CEO's

  • CEOs ran their companies into the ground and they got rewarded with tax money bonuses!!!!! I have fucked up many times at many job, not only was I NOT given a huge bonus, but I was often fired!

  • Haha you're absolutely right! Some people get away with anything and im afraid they stand above the law. Because we would never get away with that. It's time to bring those fuckers down on earth again.

  • GOD BLESS MIchael Moore, and all the true Americans who understand the struggle!!!!

    God Bless Michael Moore!!!!

  • Why is it opening on Wednesday?

  • Can't wait to see this -- Have to be on dvd probably, I'd be willing to bet this is never shown in Fresno.

  • Can't wait to see the new movie!

  • Let's replace capitalism with something else!

  • Let's replace corporatism with something else!

  • The corporate system was a good one until they became too greedy and went unchecked. Let's go see who actually was involved in not investigating Bernie Maddoff. Who had the complaints sitting on their desk and did nothing. Then hold their feet to the fire. Next, fire all CEO's who take large salaries & bonuses. They get that money because they have squeezed all of the workers below them.

  • that's the problem with under-regulated systems: they aren't good

i'm not saying it should be regulated for the sake of regulation, rather it should be regulated by smart (key word: smart) gov't. officials who know the systems in and out and don't have a personal financial stake in the system

  • they had a lot of help from Congress

  • I'd rather replace ignorance with intellect.

I'm just funny that way. Why fix a concept when it's the implementation that is flawed.

  • it's going to be awesome.

  • Damn, I cant w8 for this to hit UK.

  • second

  • first
