I don't about the culture of "the right" in England, but in US, conservatism and Christianity are closely tied, which I find ironic, as it is the right which supports war most fervently and denounces aid for the welfare of the impoverished (food stamps, free lunch, etc), both of which contradict the teachings of Christ. I'm not a Christian myself, but the hypocrisy is nauseating. Has anyone noticed this kind of paradox in England? Just curious.
