  • What's the purpose of the flare launched at the beginning?

  • il ove the repeats for dramatic effect in this vid. It show at least 13 getting on board and at least 5 taking off. And it appears to be a hybrid as well with the ground crew removing the plug.

Only joking grest vid. You can really see how much of as flying wing it was from that rear view shot on take off. Brilliant.

  • TSR2 is amazing

  • i wish the white one could be still out

  • What program is this from?

  • Okay, which one of the hundreds of accounts (who have 'corrected' him on many occasions) pissed of Jers. I think everyone has.

  • Google "Operaton Skyshield" - Look under Operations. It details how 8 RAF Vulcan Bombers sucessfully penetrated America' s Air Defenses reaching their targets and then returning home unscathed.

  • @george385 Thanks for that, very interesting read!

  • Didnt this actually happen on the fateful weekend of Oct 26 1962 when they were loaded with real nukes? Kennedy had told Britain to go and bomb the USSR. Thankfully PM McMillian calmed him down and talked him out of it, otherwise gee whiz what the hell !

  • @Witheredgoogie Nah - that was a seperate issue lol.

  • Great vid....scramble knowing you pals at base will be toast in a few mins. Nice plane.

  • LOL Lo flying to avoid radar is the oldest trick in the book. Doesn't stop a SAM. Your Navy knows about missiles, they were sitting ducks too, but that's another story. You've been cornered You know you're wrong, deal with it.

  • @kook2222 The Vulcan flew too high for the SAM of the time to be a threat.

  • @george385 That's BS, The Vulcan Bomber flew to a maximum ceiling of 60.000ft,

whilst soviets at that time during the cold war a supply of Sam's that reached the average 80.000ft spec. Also worth noting that The Vulcan would no longer be invisible to Radar flying at such a high altitude.

  • @kook2222 Vulcan was not designed to be invisible to radar. It was designed to outmanoeuvre threats at high altitude......which it did.

  • @george385 Read my post properly, You've been owned Bird watcher!

  • Great footage of one of my favourite aircraft. A bomber with fighter like handling!

  • Nice plane but offered no protection to UK, it just carried a missile! Waste of money, it had no protection against a missile fired from ground or enemy aircraft, it was a flying duck.

  • @kook2222 The role of the Vulcan was one of deterrence and it did that job until 1970. Yes the aircraft carried "just" a missile but that one missile carried a 1.1 megaton warhead. The aircraft actually carried an extensive ECM suite, and during its only combat usage the aircraft effectively jammed enemy radar. There have been many "defenceless" aircraft that have been effective in combat. The Vulcan would have been a difficult aircraft to intercept traveling at high speed and low level.

  • @Gerhardium The Vulcan could carry 21,000lbs of bombs via the bomb bay - it could also carry missles via wing mounted pylons....if you seatch youtube you will see thsese in some clips. IIRC Skybolt and Bluesteel were both pylon mounted missles (again way before US crusie missles).

  • @kook2222 Clearly you know NOTHING about the capability of the AVRO Vulcan. It was virtually impossible for jet fighters to intercept it at high altitude. It flew at 65,000 ft and due to it's low wing loading, compared to a fighter, it was highly manoeuvrable IE it could out turn a Lightning fighter jet at high altitude. It also carried extensive ECM systems. That explosion I heard was the sound of yet another armchair 'expert' crashing & burning.....lol

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH The lightning was a British Jet so why would it want to outrun an plane of its own country, when the obvious threat was from Russia who's migs could fly 3 times faster. Russia's surface to air missiles could reach the Vulcans top ceiling height making it as I said a sitting duck.

  • @kook2222 You miss the point entirely. First of all, no Mig flew 3 x faster than a Lightning jet- 1,500 mph flat out, and still holds climb to altitude records. Secondly, the principle point being, the Vulcan flew so high, that jet fighters could not out manouevre it due to their high wing loading, the Vulcan meanwhile flew like a fighter at altitude so it was extremely difficult to intercept. The Vulcan had state of the art ECM systems-so it was no sitting duck at all.

  • @kook2222 The point is, if the Vulcan could run rings around a Mach 2+ Lightning at altitude, it would have done exactly the same to Soviet fighters. You don't seem to understand the science behind wing loading. The larger the wing area, the lower the loading & the higher lift generated, particularly at altitude. The Vulcan can be thrown around the sky at altitude in a manner that NO fighter can due to their much higher wing loading-they cannot manouevre to the same degree as at lower altitudes.

  • @kook2222 From an ECM point of view, the Vulcan had state of the art ECM systems, they were so powerful that express permission had to be acquired at UK government level to activate them. On on occasion they distrupted TV & radio transmissions in the north east of England for over four hours due to an ECM exercise they ran off the NE coast. The Vulcan also had a low radar signature-it was very stealthy for it's day. Look at the shape of the leading edge of the wing on the B2 stealth-guess what?!

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH LOL Thats why the B52 is still in service and is by far the greatest bomber ever built the vulcan retired by 1985 only 30 year life. B52 will be flying into 2040 thats 88 years that would be like sopwith camel flying missions over afghanistan in 2003

  • @jers59 Yes, & these days, the B-52 is obsolete, just like the Camel. If I were you, I would keep quiet, the B-52 contributed to the death toll in Vietnam of civilians. 3,000,000 people died as a result of American arrogance & stupidity. You got your arses kicked by people in black silk PJ's armed with rusty AK47's & RPG's. The Vietnamese proved how WEAK the Americans really are. The US could not take the strain, your nation's complete lack of stoicism & resilience contributed to your defeat.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH you had your asses kicked by indians wearing diapers and drinking there own urine We remember the UK inventing the concentration camps in South Africa the slaughter and slave trade in africa the slave auctions in liverpool . Enslving US merchant sailors before war of 1812 and USS Constitution showing RN the errors of there ways.

  • @jers59 Actually, the 7th Cavalry & the fool Custer had their trousers taken down by Red Indians. There was no brave last stand, archaelogical examination of the battlefield, which utilised the recovery of rifle cartridges proved beyond any shadow of a doubt, that the calvalry soldiers were routed & they tried to flee the field. This goes hand in glove with the accounts provided by the Indians. The Cav ran like cowards. The US was heavilt involved in slavery & one of the last to abolish it. DICK

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH brits started the slave trade and indians had there sorry asses kicked my ancestors served with pride under the greatest general of 20th century Gen William Sherman who kicked the sorry southerners asses and wiped out the indians you jerkoff and there was last stand Sudan brits defeated by fuzzy wuzzies and in south africa by zulus

  • @jers59 The NVA & VC ran rings around the US forces, they broke the will of America to continue the struggle. They highlighted the lack of moral fibre, willpower, stamina, determination & resilience in the US character. Your GI's blundered around the Ulu, getting sniped, IED'd & punji staked. When they weren't slaughtering innocent civilians in villages Eg Mai Lai, they were smoking dope, or chasing the dragon. Pathetic-spineless. B-52 didn't win the day did it? ROFL

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH moron The US killed over million gooks in vietnam won every battle destroyed the VC as fighting force after TET and only B52 could do Arc light strikes and fly against the most heavily defended airspace in history North Vietnam and bomb the gooks back to peace table after linebacker2 Vulcan flew against poorly defended port stanley where argie conscripts had no time to set up credible AA defence even then vulcans needed the US shrike missile to attack argies, LOL

  • @jers59 The US killed 3,000,000 people in Vietnam. In Iraq, 1,000,000 civilians have been estimated to have died by the UN & aid agencies. And for what? Massage the US ego after taking a kicking on 9/11? There is no evidence to link Saddam to Bin Laden. In fact, Bin Laden positivel despised Saddam for two very good reasons. Firstly, Saddam ran a SECULAR religious state that allowed freedom to worship ANY religion ie Christianity was acceptable. Secondly, Saddam was a US ally in the 1980's. DICK

  • @jers59 Just like the US Marine Corps needs the British 105mm Light Gun & the British conceived Harrier & the US Army needs British invented chobham armour for it's AFV's! The US LOST Vietnam, the NVA/VC wore your nation down, broke your will-proved your inherent WEAKNESS. IE The US inability to accept anything less than quick results. When faced with a real test of character, the US nation failed- BADLY. You rolled over & left the South Vietnamese to fend for themselves. ROFL Laters Dickhead.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH WW2 the FAA had dismal obsolete crap aircraft the US had to give FAA modern aircraft F4F, F6F, F4U Corsairs Avenger torpedo bombers, US gave Rn 30+escort carriers dozens of destroyers and escorts, gave RAF and coastal command over 2000 B24 bombers plus catalina flying boats. post war B29 bombers, 1960,s US had to give RAF and FAA F4 Phantoms, now its C130,s, C17,s, F35, AH64 Apaches soon V22 Ospray

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH I forgot US also had to build 50 ocean class merchant ships for brits because brit ship yards were not up to the task and repair RN ships bet you never paid the bill

  • @jers59 Thanks for that inspired comment. I have one for you:- aluminium ladders, £19.99p at B&Q. Enjoy.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Been to the B&Q in Chorley At least I get reimburse for the VAT at manchester airport you pay LOL

  • @kook2222 Sitting duck? Get yourself a copy of 'Vulcan 607,' the book which covers the Black Missions during the Falklands war of 82. The Vulcan supressed all the air defence search radars that the Argentinians had at Port Stanley airfield, one of which was a state of the art system with a range of over 300 miles. The Vulcan swamped the Argie systems and completely blinded them. Sitting duck? Typical ethnocentric American-you have an opinion, but no knowledge to back your opinion up! lol

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH the vulcan needed american weapon the shrike missile and argies were on Port Stanley short period of time had no proper AA defence try flying over North Vietnam and facing 1200 SAMS

  • @jers59As usual, you are completely wrong about the SAM capability that the Argentinians posssessed at Port Stanley. I will not dally with you or waste anymore time, it is like talkig to a brick wall. Go get yourself a copy of "Vulcan 607" there you will learn how the Argentinians had a state of the art search radar with a range of 300 miles, in addition to radar controlled AA guns. You are boring me now.

  • @jers59 So what? The US Marines use the British conceived Harrier jet & 105mm Light Gun. Your point is?? Perhaps you should just FO now. You have nothing of ANY significance to offer, no original views or well conceived arguments just subjective self-opinionated nonsense, based on complete ignorance of the facts. You must lead a really dull & sad existance if all you can do is jump on YT and spout off complete drivel. Your behaviour has all the hallmarks of a deeply insecure person.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Im very secured I use to work with nuclear weapons (8 inch howitzer shells) passed every psych test with flying colors. You on the other hand is another story, tallyho have fun shoveling the snow

  • @jers59 It's reassuring to know that well balanced individuals such as yourself have been associated with America's nuclear arsenal. I suppose they need somebody to wipe the dust off the shells in storage & give them a polish every once in a while........It's not as if you are an ignorant, enthnocentric ,reactionary fool with a huge flapping mouth obsessed with trying to rubbish ANY British YT video with your innane, inaccurate, entirely subjective & unevidenced remarks. lol

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH thanks Im glad you noticed Im well balenced and I did more then polish 8 inch nuclear howitzer rounds. Nice job BAE did at Heathrow only 5 inches of snow and its closed down over 100.000 stranded

  • @jers59 Well done Jerk59, in addition to polishing the dust off the nuclear shells, you also mopped the floor- congratulations. I fear you have been in close proximity to radiation and that it has impaired your already obviously limited intellect. You spout utter drivel, twist, turn and continually evade any request to evidence your innane opinions. Your garbage posts are plastered all over YT, you are a first class COCK. Nothing original too offer, just banality, ignorance & arrogance.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH I think the time has come for you to do yourself a huge favour- stop posting your ridiculous, inaccurate & entirely subjective opinions. You are embarassing yourself & making yourself appear very foolish. Based on your performance to date, you coud not even be rated as a quarterwit, never mind a halfwit. You would do yourself a great service by closing that big flapping mouth of yours.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH You're right about the Vulcan - way ahead for its time.....and for the American chap: There was a NATO exercise in the 70' where a squadron of Vulcan (at VERY low altitude) SUCESSFULLY PENETRATED the US air defense systems.

  • @george385

Hello chaps, I know all your chat has been completed over a monnth ago, but I hope, nonetheless, that you'll pick these comments up.

Unlike the americans, we don't claim to have invented everthing, it's just that we did invest most things. In the developement of "stealth" it was A V Roe, that led the world in the early 50's. The radar signature of the Vulcan is smaller that that of the Tornado due to the multiple angled leading edge and round aerodynamic profile of the wing.

  • @george385 .Hello chaps, I know all your chat has been completed over a monnth ago, but I hope, nonetheless, that you'll pick these comments up.

  • @probsy stevie wonder could find vulcan on radar

  • @george385 Whats the name of the exercise? another lie when british film director Kubrick had to pick bomber for DR Strangelove he ignored the useless non frightining vulcan and picked the greatest and most fearsome bomber ever the 8 engine BUFF the mighty B52

  • @jers59 Operation Skysheld I (1960) - 7 of the 8 Vulcan's sucessfully reached their targets and returned unscathed. This wasn't a film - it was a real exercise.

  • @george385 I looked up operation skysheld and found 0 try again

  • @jers59 Operation Skysheild 1 (1960) "...the Vulcan' s acheived unprecedented survivabiity with 7 of the 8 bombers managing to reach their targets and return unscathed..". Tell you what - since you cant find it I'll post it so the whole wold can see it for themselves. SUCKER

  • @george385 I do not have to post everyone knows the B52 was greatest bomber in aviation history with nothing close the v bombers were mediocre that never make any top 10 list it takes 4 vulcans to carry more bombs then 1 B52 and B52 is faster has double the range only jey bomber with air to air kill (2 mig 21,s) flew over the most heavily defended airspace in history North Vietnam dropped 40% of the bombs in desert storm wiped out the republican guard.

  • @george385 V bombers should have been banned from US, 2 of them crashed at airshows endangering the crows you turds are jealous twerps because the B52 is still in service and will be to at least 2040 and obsolete vbomber retired in 1985 thats 25+years. US had to give UK a modern bomber post war the B29 called the Washington bomber in UK

  • @jers59 Having a tantrum now ? Endangering the Crows? lol ....and I just knew 'Nam was coming into this at some point......have some Humble Pie and take a chill pill.

  • @george385 Thats right nam is coming in the B52 with its 70.000 LBS bomb load bombed the zipper heads back to the peace treaty after operation linebacker the vulcan with its 21.000LBS bomb load never could have pulled that off or survive 1200 SAMS. B52,s will be receiving 11.9 billion dollar modernization to keep them flying onto 2040 and maybe latter have 50 years of life left in airframe. You just cannot improve on perfection.V bombers by now have been sold as scrap and melted down into yugos

  • @george385

Best not to get into a fight with him. The Eurofighter is the best fighter in the world. Its also a bomber. It detected a B2 Spirit from 80 miles away. Bombers are just big targets. B52s have been shot down in vietnam. Bombers only good against small third world countries. I mean we like precision. While Bombers waste a crap load of money for bombs that miss their target. No wonder they like their oil so much.

  • @G777GUN He's just anti-British - full stop. Take a look at hi schannel and the comments others have left. I've made my point and history is history - no matter how much he'd like to rewrite it. I do like the Typhoon and saw the first public display down at Southend. Looking forward to Southend next year and intend to see the Vulcan up close as well. They both make lots of noise!

  • @G777GUN The best fighter is F22 the only 5th generation fighter flying today 1 F22 can take out 10 euro nonfighter. Quick name 1 RAF fighter jet ace?g777 another born liar

  • @jers59

The Eurofighter has beaten in mock battles F16s, F15s and F18s. So has Rafale. And the Eurofighter is getting 3dtvn and most likly CFT. And no, the F22 is crap because Infra Red can detect it. Just like that B2 Stealth bomber from 80 miles away. Please name a US fighter ace. Since in every war they dont really fight fair or any other aces. They will only be aces if they fight an ace. But they wont. Like every US war.

  • @jers59 The F-22 is so 'great' Obama has SCRAPPED the programme! Out of a projected build of 783, 180 have been built. 49 of these are permanantly grounded due to stress cracks & corrosion in the air frame. Each ac has cost the US tax payer $354 million. In a recent USAF ex, F-22's took a pasting from 2 RAF Eurofighters, which succeeded in 'killing' the 'stealthy' (ROFL) F-22 BEYOND VISUAL RANGE. Stealth? My arse.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH anothe lie the F22 will take out 10 euro non fighters stop bringing up unvalidated claims before it was F15 against euro non fighter now you moved it up to F22, jealosy will eat you alive

  • @jers59 Quantify your comment with evidence to support it. Otherwise it isn't worth a carrot. Perhaps you should go & find the YT video that highlights how the F-22 got a pasting from RAF Typhoons in a recent US run exercise. for some strange reason, after losing one engagement after another, the USAF cancelled the ex on day two. Like a spoilt child taking his football home in a strop!

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Before the bullshit from you was 2 F15,s now you change it to F22 the euro non fighter does not even belong in same sky as F22 or F15 for that matter all your bullshit is unverified wiki fairy tales posted by ignorant morons making it unverified

  • @jers59 I never once mentioned F-15's idiot. All my comments have related directly to the useless F-22. So none of the information I have posted is true is it? Then Obama did NOT cancel the F-22 earlier this year then? ROFL I suggest you do some research on the subject and learn THE FACTS. More bad news for you- the Joint Strike Fighter is also failing to meet it's basic performance targets- another example of US technical 'superiority?' lol This is like taking candy from a child!

  • @jers59 As I said buffoon, I did not mention F-15 v Typhoon, so perhaps you would like to explain where you have got that from?! lol

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH 1 F22 can take out any euro nonfighter I asked you to name me 1 brit or western euro jet ace

  • @jers59 Please explain to me the corrolation between the ability/capability of the Eurofighter, and naming a European ace!? How stupid are you? For starters, Korean War, go and reseach Wing Commander Johnny Johnson. He was the highest scoring allied pilot of WW2 and he flew in a USAF F-86 squadron, as did several other highly experienced RAF WW2 fighter pilots. Go & research the Falkands War- 20 Mirage & Skyhawks shot down in air to air combat with ZERO British losses. What a FOOL you are.

  • @jers59 I never mentioned the F-15. Incidentally, that too has taken a kicking from the Typhoon. The RAF have 'fought' every US fighter in ACM exercises with Typhoon, and they have beaten everything- F-16, F-18, F-15, F-22. Like most enthnocentric Yank idiots, your arrogance coupled with incredible stupidity, prevents you from accepting the reality of the situation. Please do provide your evidence to substantiate your wild 10-1 kill ration claim. Are you 15 yrs old with spots & no friends??

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH First F18 can destroy anything the FAA flies oh I forgot the RN has not had any catapult carriers since the 1970,s thats why RAF and Faa sends pilots across the pond for training not the other way around. F35 has problems because Lockheed let other countries get involved cancel F35 B not needed VSTOL aircraft are useless in 21st century

  • @jers59 The RAF & RN pilots do NOT attend the US for any basic training whatsoever. Please do explain how the US, which operates conventional fixed wing carriers, could possibly train the Fleet Air Arm pilots to operate VSTOL Harriers from ski jump carriers? ROFL Why are VSTOL aircraft useless in the 21st Century, whereas Cold War relics, such as the 55 year old B-52 are not obsolete!? ROFL Sea Harriers achieved a 20-0 kill ratio in 1982, they are a proven killer, whilst you are a proven idiot.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH halfwit who do you think trained RAF and FAA F4 pilots? The dutch you are daft

  • @jers59 Actually idiot, if you delve deep enough, ie avoid ANY US based accounts, you will discover that the Top Gun academy, was set up with a great deal of British help. Go & research how RN FAA staff went over to the US & played a major role in establishing the ACM tactics. We actually taught YOU how to fight the F-4. As usual, Yanks- all the gear, no idea! The senior FAA officer involved in the establishment of TG has released a book about it. As usual, the US has covered this up.

  • @jers59 Imbecile, get yourself a copy of, 'Phoenix Squadron,' by Rowland White. It is all about how Royal Navy FAA instructors, all graduates from the intense air warfare instructors school at Lossiemouth, Scotland, played a pivotal role in setting up Top Gun. They actually taught US pilots tactics that they had developed. Prior to receiving this input, the USAF was sustaining considerable losses in air fighting in Vietnam. The one thing you are consistent in, is getting EVERYTHING wrong! ROFL

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH First the most advanced book you have in your flat is comic book second Top Gun was started by Captain Frank Ault of the USS Coral Sea not the brits who have not been in dog fight since 1945. 1960,s US carriers and carrier aircraft were light years ahead of brit carriers the brits had nothing to offer except spot of tea

  • @jers59 First of all, a comic is NOT a book, it might be in your simian eyes, but certainly not mine. Secondly, as I have already highlighted, the British played a significant part in creating the ACM tactics that are now taught at Top Gun. Like it or lump it idiot, it's a FACT. Thirdly, as already stated, RAF pilots fought in the Korean war. On top of that, how do you think the RN Sea Harriers shot down 20 Argentinian Mirages & A4's? DOGFIGHTING. You are boring me, permission granted to FO!

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH you're an armchair airman, stop jacking off

  • @fyadcorp And you 'sir,' are a typical, loud mouthed, obnoxious, offensive Americunt. Wrong am I? Then buy the book I provided as a source. Wiki is FAR from infaliable, even an amoeba brained Yank should appreciate that fact. If you don't want to read others comments, at least have the good manners not to initiate a conversation by being abusive. Yanks ALWAYS airbrush any facts that in anyway undermine them. RN FAA instructors taught USAF pilots air-air tactics they used in Nam- FACT

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Ah yes, Wikipedia, a source that many can collaborate on, is far less reliable and more biased than an obscure book that a crazy man on the internet won't shut up about. lol, what's it like being wrong all the time Mr. Wrong?

  • @fyadcorp As I said- READ THE BOOK. When the book was published in the UK approximately three years ago, it received coverage in a number of quality newspapers. What I said stands up to scrutiny. The RN FAA DID play a significant role in establishing the air-air tactics adopted at Top Gun. They also played a direct role in establishing the academy. Needless to say, you will not find this FACT publicised in the US, as usual, the need to save face takes precedence over the FACTS.

  • @fyadcorp Simple Simon- your homework for the weekend is to Google- 'British involvment in setting up Top Gun academy- Daily Telegraph.' Read this article from one of the most respected newspapers, then tell me the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm did not play a very significant role in establishing the tactics & training at Top Gun. I am RIGHT, you, the loud mouthed, 'I know it all, even though I know NOTHING' Yank are WRONG. Chin chin ol' boy!

  • @fyadcorp Remember to get back to me MR WRONG after you have read the article from The Telegraph newspaper which completely supports my comment re the significant contribution made by the RN FAA in helping to set up Top Gun. They created the tactics, the training syllabus and WROTE the training manual which is still in use today. Twelve FAA Air Warfare Instructors went to the US in the early 60's and they effectively created Top Gun. Any comments MR WRONG aka Loud Mouth Yank??

  • @fyadcorp What's it like being WRONG? You tell me smart ass, because you ARE wrong! ROFL

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Nope. Haha. You are though.

  • @fyadcorp Anybody who Googles the Telegraph article I quoted will know I am 100% correct about Top Gun. Your big ego prevents you from accepting that you got it wrong. ROFL

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH I don't believe you or anything, but let's have pretend time for a moment: how do you feel that the last time you were relevant in military aviation was half a century ago, Lord Spergington?

  • @fyadcorp Couldn't give a monkey's whether you believe me or not. The only point that matters to me, is that you shot your big flapping mouth off, insisted I was wrong, when in reality, it is you who is wrong. My point was 100% correct-but the opinionated Yank knew better-as is often the case. Typical arrogant Yank, you have an 'opinion,' but no knowledge to support it. Laters LOSER :)

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Gee who am I going to trust more, Wikipedia or some dude with an inferiority complex and asperger's syndrome?

  • @fyadcorp Gee- you REALLY are stupid aren't you? A rhetorical question. I am not the source of the information. Aside from the fact that a book has been written about the British role in establishing Top Gun, 'The Telegraph,' one of the most respected newspapers on the planet, has provided the FACTS in an article which is readily available online. Evidently, your knowledge about Asperger's Syndrome is as poor as your knowledge of aviation. Never mind Richard Head........

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Nah you're definitely an aspie and you can't deal with the fact you haven't been relevant in military aviation in many decades, Mr. Wrong. haha

  • @fyadcorp Whatever halfwit. I couldn't give a monkey's whether you accept the facts or not. Being a dickhead is your perogative. You foolishly shot your mouth off when you were wrong. I provided the sources of my information, if you wish to compound your stupidity by continuing to deny the facts, feel free. Somewhere, there is a village just crying out for an idiot such as yourself. Have a 'nice' day ;)

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Obviously you do care otherwise you wouldn't be replying back. lol owned

  • @fyadcorp Feeble, predictable response. I simply enjoy humiliating you on a public forum as the amoeba brained imbecile that you are. Let's recount what happened. I posted a factual comment regarding the involvement of FAA Air Warfare Instructors in establishing Top Gun, it's tactics & instruction manual. These are FACTS. Enter stage left- the Big Mouth, ignorant Yank who wades into the fray shooting his mouth off and being offensive. I evidenced my opinion. You did NOT. 1 x Yank OWNED.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Nah dude you're wrong and also a sperglord lol

  • @fyadcorp Perhaps you sole purpose in life, is to act as a warning to others........Forest Gump must have been thinking of you:- "STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES." Only a moron would persist in denying the facts considering the sources provided ie A BOOK concerned with the whole story of the FAA involvement in TG, and an article about the FAA's role in establishing TG in a high quality broadsheet. Please feel free to DISPROVE what I said. Failing that, Go Forth & Multiply ;)

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Looks as if you cannot deal with it. Check the Wiki, Baron Spergington

  • @fyadcorp I refer you to my previous post Forest........ :)

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Nope. You can though. Thanks for visiting my channel, and you're still wrong btw.

  • @fyadcorp Whatever..........As I said, read my penultimate comment Forest. The FACTS cannot be denied. I note you continually deny the FACTS, yet you offer no evidence, or argument to debunk the sources I provided. Perhaps you are the contemporary Doubting Thomas........Nah, you're just an idiot of the highest order. At least you are consistent-consistently stupid :)

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH Check the Wiki, find out you're wrong, pick easier fights in the future

  • @fyadcorp Wikipedia is far from reliable or infallible. It allows(ignorant) people such as yourself to contribute 'information.' lol I much prefer books written by ex- RN FAA Lt Cmdrs, who actually formulated the training syllabus, wrote the tactics manual and instructed as part of a team of 12 FAA pilots who went over to TG in the early 60's. You have an 'opinion,' the author of 'Phoenix Sqdn,' has the FACTS. Check out Wiki- ROFL :))))))))) You are a comic genius Forest.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH You've said that before, look at the citations this time

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH lol wrong check the wiki

  • @jers59 Totally irrelevant point. With the exception of the Falklands war in 1982, where 20 kills were achieved by Sea Harrier pilots, Britain has not been involved in campaigns that resulted in air action, with the acception of Korea. Who have the US fought post WW2? Wow! Third rate, third world nations who were hardly best placed to offer anything other than token air resistance eg North Vietnam. Iraq? Kosovo? lol In Kosovo, the USAF killed MORE civilians than they did COMBATANTS.

  • @jers59 Why should we be jealous of a weapon system that is as obsolete now, as the big gun battleship was by 1945? lol Harping on about how effective the B-52 has been against THIRD WORLD military nations, when the USAF enjoyed TOTAL AIR SUPERIORITY and was therefore able to pt huge resources into ECM missions to support the B-52 operations by swamping search radar systems is laughable. The B-52 could never survive if it were sent up against a first class military power.

  • @LIVERPOOLSCOTTISH B52 would survive going against the russians today the B52 is loaded with ECM and Chaff and will be under going 11.9 billion dollar modernization soon making it invulnerable B52 is most versatile bomber ever built . BB,s were useful off Korea, Vietnam

  • @jers59 Ridiculous comment. Entirely subjective supposition. B-52's would not survive against a first rate military power. No amount of ECM would save them from the latest generation of Russian fighters. The whole point re the Vulcan was that it was capable of outmanouevring the fighters of the day, ergo it had a decent chance of survival. ECM is only useful until the point when the enemy radar starts to 'burn' through it-then your fat B-52 would be helpless against fighters. OBSOLETE.

  • @jers59 Yes indeed, the RAF did utilise the Washington aka B-29 as a stop gap measure. So what? The USAAF utilised the Spitfire & Mosquito during WW2, so your point is?! Today the US Marines utilise the Harrier jet- a British concept, they also use the British 105 mm Light Gun. ROFL. It appears that the jealousy is your behalf, why else are you on this site harping on about the 'superiority' of the B-52? What is your problem? Insecure? Inferiority complex? Pathetic-grow up & FO.

  • @george385 way ahead of its time LOL thats why it was retired in 1985 so it was not to ahead of its time US B58 bomber had way better performance

  • @jers59 It was designed and built in the 1950's you dumb shit. You asked for the name of the operation where th eVulcan's penetrated America' s air defences - and I've given you it - and you're still in denial? ROFL YOU'VE BEEN OWNED.

  • @george385 So was the B58 which had almost double the speed of the vulcan and carried same bomb load the vulcan was little known bomber never makes any top 10 list B52,s will undergo 11.9 billion dollar modernization will be equipted with CONECT and EHF making them more lethal they have estimated 50 year life left in them the vulcans have been long scrapped or sent to museums you gave no information.
