This is such a joke... even flavor scientists don't just line up a bunch of vials and then sniff them all in a line. Thanks for showing us this and confirming that I will not be eating Gulf seafood for a long, long time.
just FYI sniff testing is only the first step in testing seafood. they also do chemical testing of the samples. if you are that concerned about it go to NOAAs website and look up their testing methods. and they just started testing for dispersants in seafood also. should have been done early in my opinion but im just trying to give some of the facts
so, a sniff test. 75% gone on news, but at hearing 75% still there? and what about COREXIT? have these testers been sniffing COREXIT? maybe it's time to upgrade to maybe a dog? or lab? I hope these testers have good health benefits....
This a stupid ass way to test seafood! How lame! With all the technology this is the best they can do? If you dont smell it , it aint there? BS!!!!!!!!!
I understand all concerns put in but keep in mind that these people are smelling fishes for our safety, fishes swim from place to place and eat other fishes, as far as shrimp i believe they will be testing them too, and if you dont know then why dont you go work there, its not an easy job, all in all im sure theyll get to the bottom of it, keep it up NOAA
This is the most ridiculous "test" for the safety of our seafood. What about the dispersants? Can you smell that? Is every fish, shrimp, and oyster being caught being smelled? University researchers have found the oil that the administration said "disappeared". It's settling on the bottom of the ocean. How come BP is not being required to clean this up? It is a complete insult that the federal government is not protecting its population on this one.
