I have a last minute audition this Saturday for my city's oratorio chorus and they totally sprang Messiah on me this morning even though I had Carmina Burana prepared... yikes. Thanks guys.

The voice is lovely, but the performance is not convincing, like she isn't thinking about what she singing. Her expression is sad and solemn, but the message should be uplifting.

@CBhimireddy In your opinion. Does everyone experience music in the same way? Since when was it more important to think about what you're singing than to feel the actual effect of the music?

@Elcore: That was my point exactly - that the effect, on ME, of her *performance* of the music was that I felt low and somber. But yes, all people experience music very differently, and some may have loved this performance; I for one did not.

Really beautiful...Not one of those pushy soprano versions...There is still something natural in the voice and still sung with very good technique...I like it...
