  • how do you get into the cockpit?

  • America and Europe bankrupt..China wise enough to collect all the cash ... think

  • for a maglev line. And I pay a 100th of maintainance and upkeep cost compared to mainstream rail. Then you should be so eager to build it if people in government just had common sense.

Not chinas government. We can all guess what drives the chinese, but common sense is not the bit of quality they seem to miss.

  • Wouldnt that cause perfect tunnel vision. We must build this.

I know the costs. I know we cant litteraly afford building maglev infrastructure, its just to expensive to make it a decade goal. But maglev rail is so much more self sufficient. needs a 100fold less maintainance. Basically you repay all the cost by the pure efficiency of the system.

The cost efficiency of maglev is so high, it makes the whole effort a must as its completely self sufficient. Its like, ok i pay trillions of dollars

  • What people actually dont even know, is that the speedlimit of the train is determined by the length of its track. The pudong-shainghai maglev line is 30kilometres long. It cant go faster then 430kph because by the time it gets there it has to deaccelerate again.

If the train line was like 500km long. It coud go nearly as fast or just as fast as a boeing 747. Imagine we had such a track,

You would race 20feet above the ground at 900kph.

Wouldnt that be a amazing experience.

  • Omg...that intro was from Doraemon!

  • HOW STAR WARZ CHINA WILL BUILD THE FUTUR

FUCK AMERICA AND EUROP AND LATINO COCAINE AND JEW

  • @cubytischer FUCK DEUTSCHLAND YOU FORGET THE MAGLEV FOR EROS CENTER

  • @cubytischer

    Idiot

  • chekout webcam @ 2:20 .. and how the driver section of Maglev looks like internet Cafe with 2 computers.... cuz the TRain is totally controlled by the station office.... wat a great Technology.... i hope n pray that GM would burn for killing a great beautiful Electric Car in 1996..... EV1

  • great acheivement by Chinese people.... wat is so Sad about this Maglev Revolution is that China had not spend any thing on ADVERTISING this great Technology.... and for the last 5 yrs. and exporting it to other countries... i mean from business point of view... its a great time to start Maglev around the world... just think abt. the humiliation of Traveling by Air... u wait for security checks.. for hours... they strip u naked like a Stripper...& the Ticket is so damn expensive...

  • @watup2154

what about the costs of building a specific railway for this trains to run with over 500kph? have you considered them?

  • Well, when economies of scale are implemented, the costs decrease drastically. Secondly, if countries like USA waste 100's of billions of dollars on weapons and oppression of others, all with taxpayers money, doesn't it make sense to actually purchase or build something that will benefit the taxpayer for once. In USA, they take all of taxpayers money and waste it on militarization and aggression, while they make these poor Americans pay for visits to the doctor. And they think they are best!

  • why does say shanghai and it has Jap writing?

  • oh come on moron, dont you know its totally automatic running, even if they allow someone to get into the cab it doesnt make any sense...relax a little...

  • eso es progreso

  • 2 years ago I were in Shanghai and ofc I tried the maglev train. It was very smooth and it didn't feel like we were going in 450 km/h (I think it was around 450). I just hope they build these trains in Sweden too :)

  • someone farted on 0:16

  • @rocker78able

    yes great:)

  • @rocker78able seems to be normal to them XD

  • 430km!!!

  • fantastico!muito legal!

  • I was on it last year... pretty neat! There is a boom sound when it passes the one going the other day

  • According to "theory" the technology can go as fast as 2000MPH --- 3218.6 kMPh

  • i think its japanese letters

    not chinese

  • traduccion por favor XD? traduction please XD?

  • Wow!! Me encantaria estar ahi y verlo con mis propios ojos y mejor aun subirme!!! Exelente video!

  • OMG thats fast

  • It's going to be a bumby ride!

  • wow

  • I understand that the ride is not as smooth as it could be. My guess is, if it had been built in Germany (it is German Technology) or Japan I am refering to the guideway, then it might have been a smoother ride. This would be important to ensure passenger comfort and life expectancy of the system.

  • Euh... it's German technology.

  • @bartjebeltegoed Yeah, and didn't we do our job ain't good??:D ...

  • @bartjebeltegoed its rmb

  • The ride was very smooth, not bumpy at all.

  • Its good to see China's attempt to develop into a 21 century nation. I do have an interesting experience though. When transversing through the province of FuJian, it was on a very new 6 lane modern highway. The signage was great and written in both English and Chinese. The only problem was, (although it looked well made) in reality it was BUMPY BUMPY BUMPY...at just only 38mph (65kph)!! It was as if this whole interstate had a "speed bump" placed at EVERY SINGLE METER OF ITS ENTIRE LENGTH!!!

  • As a moutaineous province, only train route can get into that province need to pass tunnels, circled around moutains. No way the train can speed up in moutain areas, especially when it needs to circled around. The direct distance on map is short, train takes up to 14hours to finish the last part of journey. and for the bumpy part, it is becuase old type jointing rail. upgrating train system, the old route might be abandoned, they are bulding a high speed bullet head train route on coast region.

  • I didn't have such experience. It is the problem with your car's suspension.

  • i was in a maglev in japan last week and i was the moron who stood next to the window unlucky me got blasted to the ground

  • they are just testing the train... so they can go whatever speed they like to test it... since its not in normal operation... i dont see any problem for going that fast, except a gratually disadvanced neighbour country pals envy on our fast development!! You can keep on envy and keep saying something stupid.. but time will prove China Can!!

  • They are just jealous of China

  • do they serve cold drinks on it?

  • heresteven...

it only lasts for about 15-20 minutes... but you would be allowed to take a drink on if it matters :P

  • wow asia going high tech maglev where still on normal rails .

  • Great video, rare view...Thanks!

  • Amazing sensation to be there. Special occasion is when the other train comes in opposite direction.

    - c.a.t.

  • lol@gps units

  • racism is not.

  • if they provide wings in the body, the train soar up in the sky.

  • well wouldnt the magnetic field keep it from flying off??

  • Wow... that's fast.

  • Why is opening BGM of Doraemon used?

  • Doraemon takes a future item in his pocket.

Maglev is next generation train too.

  • I can see some serious smog problems in this video.

  • yes.

    i am a chinese. i know that.

    it's a big problem!

  • that just Cloudy ,sometimes its foggy

  • I don't think he's talking about the monorail... But the People Mover at Disney World. That uses similar magenetic technology but is slow.

  • Did you like Shanghai? Nice place right? Hope people treated you nice there. Hi! to people from C.R. I was in C.R. once.

  • this maglev is quite fast and smooth!Great !

    but ・・・made in germany!

    why did not buy ours.

  • maybe Japanese one was more expensive.

  • The Japanese maglev trains travel a bit faster (they hold the world speed record of 581 km/h) but do cost a LOT more to build.

  • but shanghai maglev is fastest put into civilian use,430km/h,no vehicle on land can travel faster than shanghai maglev

  • @Matt0401 well it on daily use it doesnt count only on speed. the french tgv train is a lot faster but sucks in maintenance. thats why all want ICE trains

  • As a U.S. citizen, this is why we are behind. We don't invent things like this anymore. I would love to travel like this around the country; zero emissions, fast, no gas money. American oil and auto companies keep us behind the rest of the world. NY - LA in 5 hours.

  • Yeah, you are too busy invading countries in the middle east to actually sit down and brainstorm technological marvels such as this.

  • i agree. and don't think just saying that will make your little "Bush" of fire a bit clever. Bush, is not good. i consider him as a bush of grass. plus, u guys always try ivade middle east or even china.

  • I didn't invade anyone, nor did I want to, except to pin down Bin Laden. Most Americans agree that this war is wrong, the Bush Administration went to war on false info. Actually the US did create something similar that runs at Epcot center in Disneyworld years ago.

  • If you mean the "monorail", yeah it was created decades ago, but it has nothing to do with magnetic levitation or propulsion. It is electrically powered, runs on wheels and its top end is around 70mph before it feels like it is going to rattle itself apart. Been on one probably a hundred times, okay maybe two hundred. I only live an hour way from Disney World.

  • HAHA! AGREE! ;)

  • US is so big, traveling by maglev may be more expensive than yr own boeing.

  • China is much larger. This is one solution, which with others (flights, cars) would be possible. The price is high but would come down in time and with competition.

  • Haha... I gues your right =)

  • so when will we get one of these in u.s? i think it's time for us to modernize and beat up our kids who say chinese still farm in pointed hats.

  • Johanoeberg (2 weeks ago)

23 milion dollar/km... naaa, thats tooooo much... And the maintenance cant be lower than a steel rail. so it must be a cost that will be taken into the equation -it rides on magnetic force not touching any rails, so no friction, no wear, no engine or wheels track is electricfied in timed order to pull the train along

  • when im back to china, i will certainly try it. luv the feeling of speed ;)

  • I've used this train more than once, and it is NOT shabby!

  • Instead we (the US) spend 400 billion a year on weapons of war. Institutionalized corruption to murder people.

  • Haha.. it felt a little shabby. Especially the GPS antenna mounted on the window board with duck tape?

Nice speeds though. I wonder what this magnetic rail cost per km and what its maintanence costs per year...?

  • It costs USD 23 000 000 per km at least, but the maintenance cost is low

  • 23 milion dollar/km... naaa, thats tooooo much... And the maintenance cant be lower than a steel rail. so it must be a cost that will be taken into the equation.

  • Everything out the windows likes fly

  • The Name of the train is "Transrapid"..Owner is DB (Deutsche Bundesbahn)..

  • Well its german technology exported and sold to china. The government thinks the tracks are too expensive to realize in Germany, also there was planned to build a track from Munich to the airport..

  • The Name of the train is Transrapid. Owner is the DB(Deutsche Bundesbahn)..

  • WOOOOOOOO Holy Sh%$ that is amazing

  • 430km/h...holy...

  • 268 mph

  • The TGV (a conventional train with wheels and tracks) did over 500km/h back in 1990. I am not sure what normal operating speed is, however.

  • 270 - 320 depends on the track I guess, not sure

  • Umm... We need these in the United States.

    It's time to modernize!!

  • !!WoW!!
