  • I think we should all be voting with our wallets.

Those corporate thugs are so scared now that they are trying to infiltrate all the fair trade and organic markets.

They'll give up a tiny bit, make it seem like they are so good to the world, and basically do the same stuff.

Let's all be vigilant for frauds posing as farmers; posing as small businesses; posing as fair; and posing as organic.

Half the battle will be finding the real ethical companies amid poser phony corporations.

  • we should be very careful !!!!

  • Damnit, I use Avalon Organic face wash and shampoo, just when I thought I found something good. :/

  • I get it I get it...but this is hilarious people screaming " Stop Organic Cheaters!" Ha!

  • I remember a case in the UK where a woman used an 'Organics' brand shampoo. She had an alergic reaction and her face swelled up like a balloon.

  • nice..these protesters are cool!

  • Good report but Iceni2010's post makes a good point....don't believe everything you see in this 'protest' because some main players at the OCA (and hence a bunch of these 'protesters') have vested interests themselves in small 'organic' skin care lines whose products contain harmful ingredients....they're just confusing consumers and defaming some truly ethical brands

  • Dont believe everything you hearthe OCA is made up of organic competitors! They are slamming these popular brands to make room for their own products in the marketplace by lying about the competition. I think its shady and in bad taste.

  • It's not fair to all the companies who spend the time and money to make theirs organic.

  • wow

  • @oxycodonez Good point.... How you end up in WalMart??? ..... jus kidding : )

  • Great to see this action. USDA Organic certification is a great first step to help expose these companies, like Whole Foods Market, who have jumped on the whole foods movement bandwagon to make a fast buck... . The USDA Organic symbol is a way to know that products are plant based and also a way to isolate these impostors and get them to take chemicals out of their products.

  • They sell one of those at my store.

I've seen funny ingredients on organic foods. My store has its own line of organic products, and i've questioned them because of a few labellings I've seen. 2 yogarts, same brand. One said natural flavor and one said organic flavor. kinda fishy, and it includes the USDA stamp. I;ve seen this on a few other things under that brand. I wonder if their herb mix is sprayed with reg water that contains fluoride...

  • It is so hard to find anything safe to use that actually works when it comes to shampoo and conditioners and on top of that affordable too. I have only found one brand through the Skindeep website called Aubry Organics for less than $6 a bottle. If anyone knows of any other good affordable brands please post here. Thanks

  • I work in an organic market and manage the body care & supplement section and we sell quite a few of these "organic" body care lines ...it is always a fight to keep them out and I do not always win...funny no one who went to this year's expo from our corporate office told me about this protest...

  • this is more of a smear campaign then anything. If these companies are guilty of anything it might be slightly misleading advertisement.. None of these shampoos claim to be certified organic - take a look at their website or the actual bottle - what they do claim is they contain organic ingredients - which they do. they never claim that all the ingredients in this item are certified organic.

  • Thank for the heads up. I will be very careful in what I purchase from now on. Thanks again!

  • So wonderful to see that the fight is alive and well in the USA.. As an Aussie who is right behind you well done. I have been using Certified Organic products for almost 3 years now and feel so lucky to be helping the planet and to be using such wonderful products. thanks Brad

  • USDA & FDA are FRAUDULENT & CORRUPT government organizations paid off buy the crocked corporations!!

Watch "FOOD INC." a well done documentary.

    End The Fed!!!

  • @thomastholin The Symbol "USDA Organic" should not be confused with the symbols USDA or FDA. These latter symbols offer little information on the safety of food and indeed are covers for food corporations to peddle unsafe food.

  • I wish I had been there but the next best thing is this video. Thank you Mike for bringing the info to us and for all the information you have provided and the courage you have to inform the public. Btw Mike you have lovely skin - what do you use again? rotfl

I am so grateful to you and others like you. Btw Mike you have lovely skin - what do you use again? rotfl

  • GREAT job! Thanks for covering the great work of these protestors and for everything you do, Mike. You do such a fabulous service, and we all greatly appreciate it!

  • yeah...um...the OCA is a bunch of people who also run small organic skin care lines so this kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

  • Mike....thanks for all you do... I am a television health reporter for News 12 in Long Island New York. Wondering if I may use twenty seconds of your video in a report on this topic. I have been thinking of doing this story...now the expo protest provides some additional incentive..... Thanks, Mary Mucci News 12 Long Island

  • This is also showing the lack of responsibility, of the USDA to actually protect the consumer. The USDA is just another typical government entity who falls in the same line as the murders of the FDA, and the EPA. How can we trust the this government to protect all of us.

  • Great work Mike! I loved the sham-poo protest video!

    Robin Sage

  • As an avowed capitalist and fan of profits I can say these companies should be fined for false advertising and labeling!

Only when armed with truth can consumers make educated choices, which is ultimately good for producers as well.

  • It's disgusting how much money they have made on us with there lies!

  • It's sickening how much money they have made on there lies :( not just two thumbs down, but ALL THUMBS DOWN ALL OVER THE WORLD!!

  • @hobnob34 yeah that sodium lauryl sulfate is nasty stuff. The canadian brand of toothpaste that I found without it, as well as fluoride was by using the Green Beaver Band.

It's sick, and this is what a profit based system has done. We have the technology, knowledge, and resources to produce all of the best foods in the world and feed everyone. We can do the same with water.

  • Well done you guys in America! We have the same problem in the UK and Europe. My company Botanicals Natural Skin Care makes authentic personal care products certified by the UK Soil Association. It's simply not right that we should share shelf space with 'organic cheaters'. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

  • They are selling some of these products in some Canadian grocery stores.

Today I actually bought Avalon Organics lemon scented conditioner. Also

looking at my Nature's Gate toothpaste, it lists "sodium lauryl sulfate as one

of it's ingredients! I bought these in a Barrie Ontario Zehr's.

Interesting to note Nature's Gate is being produced in Chatsworth, California. My

Avalon Organics bottle says the company is in Petaluma, CA, but "made in Canada.

  • cool, very nicely made signs!!

  • @LICKETYSPLITALNG Try the link at the bottom of vid for more info.

  • Best sham-poop is baking soda and apple cider vinegar- rinse well and then use some essentials oils for good smells......and follow up with coconut oil on hair ends!

    Love! ;+)

  • where is the Northcom and Homeland Security to show these "freedom-lovers" what America is really all about? I want these protesters arrested and sent to Guantanamo at the pleasure of Dick Cheney. I love being cheated and poisoned, does anyone have a problem with them?

  • Organic cheaters exposed at health expo protest.

  • This is great!!!

  • Thanks for info...It's hard enough to try to find healthy choices and now they throw this in the mix! I'm so sick of corporate greed and well, just sick of lying!!!!!

  • keep up the good work.

  • What a sham!

  • yeah

  • Right on Mike, as they say, you can fool some of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all of them all of the time. Let the tide of change swamp these devious and despicable companies.

  • Wow, I use Avalon, I thought it was good, can you supply a list of good brands?

I am confused and now don't know what to use!

  • @littlepinkdaisy

Well since the OCA is run by skin care companies I'm sure they'll get on line & start recommndning a LOT from their brands.

  • i agree that honest labelling laws need to happen NOW!!!

  • Is it possible to reinvent money and keep it organic?

  • stop organic cheaters!!! thats my fear with organic label...:-(

  • stop organic cheaters!!! thats my fear with organic label...:-(

  • This is very simple. Corporations can not be trusted! As far as agencies such as the FDA or Health Canada approving a product...that's also bullshit. Anyone who's awake knows that the corporations have them in their back pocket! We need an overhaul of the entire system! They're ALL criminals - RICH CRIMINALS!

  • Another AWESOME video from Mike Adams. Thanks for showing us the truth-something these companies WON'T do.

  • wow! i like it!

  • Thank you so much for the protest

  • Good job.

  • thats what they get, thanks, I think I am using some of these products but now I know to look for the USDA organics seal, thanks

  • You go! I "used" to use Organic Essence Shampoos and lotions, then I started to get a horrible rash every single time I used it! So I stopped! I knew that they were NOT organic as I am ONLY allergic to GMO crap!

  • Geez, I just bought one of these thinking it was so much better. The FDA needs to crackdown on labelling, create uniform standards, and enforce them rigorously. Also, there should be a label indicating whether ANY ingredients or the product itself was made in China.

  • damn its a lot of working keeping people honest today.....i used the term people as defined by the courts. I think people tend to be a bit more honest if they cant hide behind the shield of a corporation.

  • Organic Food Has No More Nutritional Value Than Food Grown With Pesticides, Study Shows

"the research by Dr Susanne Bügel and colleagues from the Department of Human Nutrition, University of Copenhagen, shows there is no clear evidence to back this up." (to back up the claim that organic products are healthier than those grown with pesticides)

    Science daily, August 9, 2008

So, these guys got nailed for pretending to do nothing and charge you more for it, hilarious!

  • Awesome!

  • Nice. The thugs were perfect; they couldn't have represented the typical zoot suit 'Crabbe & Goyle' type threat any better. Like a pair of Black Water goons there to let you know what your news rights are: to shut up and take your medicine. People who don't think Organic is important should watch: Food Matters, Food Inc and The Beautiful Truth ... to name just a few. It's worth advocating for even out of principle. Those Films helped me broaden my understanding for the need to support local.

  • Wish I had been there to lend support. Need to protest and get tryth out.

  • Kiwi30

Wish I had been there to lend support. Great work, need to speak out.

  • this is sad :( my sister bought a lot of the shampoo being displayed here. Can she return these bottles to the health stores from where she bought them?? this is not fair!

  • great

  • great

  • Thank you for putting the spotlight on these 'organic cheaters'! It's about time that these organizations are put to the test, otherwise they will just go on their merry way making money off of their misleading statements and lies.

  • I love this! Thanks! !!!!!

  • I love this! Thanks!

  • I love this! Thanks!

  • I love this! Thanks!

  • Free speech is here and it feels good.

  • About time, getting tired of going into health food stores with no choice!

    Yes, STOP ORGANIC CHEATERS! LOL.

  • Big thumbs up... thanks for exposing these frauds.

  • thanks for posting this!! the shampoo I use is displayed there ugh its so infuriating that we cant trust any of these companies or products

  • More like shame-poo if you ask me. The only reason these people lie to the public is for money...greedy fucktard bastards.
