Broomstick sanded down to fit a 2-liter soda bottle, and a notch cut into it near the top to fit an O-ring that allows the bottle to build pressure. Hose clamp, string, and tent pegs to hold the broomstick in place. Drop in the mentos, put the bottle on the broomstick and push down over the o-ring, let build pressure, and nudge free.

I agree that this was the best of the three winners...this menotos video was in the spirit of the backyard fun we all saw at first. The other two were mentos commercials featuring dumbed down fantasy use of the chemical reaction. Thank god Richard Anderson did not make a McGyver version!
