  • nice job, 3/4 way through doing my first s/w tank, had it running for 3 weeks, just need a return pump for sump, was wondering what flow rate ur return pump was, im unsure which one to get

    thanx, one again good job

  • The Maxi-Jet 1200 is rated at 295 gph, but I'm not sure of the exact number im getting to the tank. The distance from pump to top of tank is 4ft. If i had to guess i would say about 150 - 160 gph.

  • thanks for the info, might consider getting one, or maybe more powerful one, i want it a high output so i dont need extra powerheads for water movement in display tank.

    thanx again

  • wow fantastic, looks great, good sump system.

Only thing that I can think of that may help avoid problems like I had is to make a snail guard for that overflow. I just took a PVC end cap and drilled a lot of little holes in it....works great, flow still the same, no lost snails :)

Can't wait to watch it develop. Good work.

  • thank you and i plan on a snail gaurd as soon as i get a chance. LFS is hold a couple clowns for me as soon as the nitrite drops to 0ppm
