  • you'd be better off with a boss rc-3

  • fuck yeah im getting these for my birthday!

  • i can't push pedals like this 2:54 with my sanpera II... why?! :(

  • @JDLF7 if u havent gotten an answer yet. heres how to fix ur issue.

unscrew the bottom of the pedal, and either tighten or losen the switch that activates the pedals. its trial and error until u reach the perfect pressure to activate/deactivate tuner and effect pedals. if u need help msg me for further questions on how to fix this issue

  • I have a Vyper 30. Do you think it's a better idea to buy this pedal setup or go with something like a Digitech 255 or 355?

  • is peavey vypyr 30w good with this pedal ? i mean peavey 30w has already so many effects.(sry for bad english)

  • Hi Sean Lennon

  • what are they thinking? Putting the pedals on opposite sides? FAIL

  • @Bflatest makes it symmetrical though

  • is there the ability to have a guitar harmony effect/sound?

  • dude buy new shoes

  • is the wah enough to play the like a stone solo by audioslave?

  • @RmNaNtCbScRrn Morello is using whammy pedals, wah, all sorts of different shit in the solo... So you gonna need quite alot more than this

  • 1. is it possible to record and play more than 1 loop at the same time?

    2. what else is on the right foot expression pedal?

the left is volume and tuner, the right is wah wah and?

  • Lol, 200$+ footpedal and torn/ripped shoes.... Priorities man....

  • Im gettin the 1 its more affordable

  • Dude, majorly diggin that torn shoe! ^_^

  • The janes addiction at the end was mad

  • damn im mad now cause i have the 15W vypyr and the sanpera doesnt work on the 15,only 30W and up

  • If I a pedal plugged into my amp ( Digitech Whammy) and turned on, then I use the looper will it record it with my Whammy Effect or no?

  • hey and how to change channels??

  • The 60 watter has the most features for some reason O_o.

  • @FEAROWNAGE not including the 120w

  • @dethmetal134 Yeah i do that but i wondered if there was any other way to do it because sometimes my pedal cant go any further haha. ty anyway

  • When i use the looper the volume is higher than i played it!

  • @DrakotMetal

Update your firmware. You can find the info you need on the Vypyr forum at Peavey's website.

  • nice shoes it has characters. i got 12 pedals & i'm using a "pedal train pro" as my pedalboard & there's sum space on it. so my actual question is cn it be use on my pedal effect & do u tink theres space? cos i cn put 2 any electro harmonica dulux edition's pedal like 4 example memo boy. n hw much its gonna drain my bank acct?

  • what was the setting used for the beginning solo??? i would really like to know

  • Wow that pedal's fucking huge...

  • Hi there, does it work with PC or M-Audio sound cards? I mean recording. Sorry, I am beginer. Thanks

  • @rudiandcofilm

I believe the Vyper starts at the 75W with a USB connector for updating and recording to PC.

  • Hi there, does it work with PC? I mean recording. Thanks

  • the looper sucks, the playback volume is like 50% louder than the original volume, the pedal switch takes a bit of extra pressure to work, it is fixable but unscrewing the bottom is also a pain. the volume pedal is great though, and the channel switching makes youre life so much easier, I also like the option the turn effects, stompboxes, and delay and reverb on/off. casing is metal, brings midi chord. they advertize it as a large screen but its reeally tuny. tuner is easy, wah sounds below avg.

  • @rampage222555 Think about it though.... You get a low price high quality amp. Just a looping pedal costs more than the Sanpera I. This pedal is a good 400 dollars with everything in it if you bought it all seperate. It's also a matter of opinion, I personally like the wah better than my friends Dimebag Darrel Wah.

  • @linkinman48 yeah true. But the loopers still a pain, you have to max out post gain to not have any volume probs. But yeah its true, so much value in this thing, its incredible.

  • @rampage222555 I got my sanpera 1 like an hour and a half ago. I have to looper down, all you have to do is make sure to hit the button precisely when you want it. Which is the way ALL loopers are, painful. xD

  • jesus i didn't realise they were that big!!!

  • I HAVE THOSE EXACT SHOES....except mine arn't that broken...TIGERS FTW.

  • wat kind of cable do i need to hook this up to the amp ?

  • can u change the amp channels with the sanpera??

  • He matched his shoes and pants colors to the Sanpera Pedal colors :P

  • ugly shoes

  • @flacknice101 I haven't had that problem but then again I just bought mine today so I can't really have agreat opinion on it yet, the only thing I don't like is how hard you have to press to turn the wah on

  • @madguitarman95 FYI, the pressure needed to activate either the wah or the tuner (on either pedal) can be adjusted. There's an internal screw you can back off if you'd like the activation to be easier. You're welcome in advance!

  • @thisperfectworld yeah but it really isnt that easy, to do all of that you need to unscrew the bottom that has a shitload of screws and to make it worse theyre the tightest screws Ive ever seen in my life.

  • its like a frickin type writer, love it.

  • Nice! Thanks for making this video, really helpful. Now I know I want a Peavey and Sanpera I. (I don't want a bunch of fancy stuff, just quick switching and a wah.)

  • seems really complicated to use...

  • does this work for the 15?

  • @drewcropp no

  • its a shame they had to make it look so gay

  • When I hit the switch to go from clean to distortion, distortion never kicks right in. There's a no sound gap and it sucks!! I have to use my boss mt2 to get distortion when I want it and not when the damn thing feels like kicking in. Does anyone else have this problem with this pedal?

  • dont u have a volume control on your guitar? way to fail, its much easier to control specific volume changes on your guitar

  • @jesusbautistacid lol'd so hard

  • what's the lead setting?

  • I love my Vypyr 120W. Go big or go home lol

  • can somebody please tell me what guitar is that =]

  • @alexisd3 the guitar is an electric one

  • @markwrider I mean, which brand and model :)

  • I thought you looked familiar when the video started but I really couldn't place the face. After you started switching with the pedal tho I was able to figure you out by your shoes. And all i have to say is this..Dude! I don't have any change, quit bothering me when I'm leaving work.

  • ohh ok thanx man. yeah atm thats roughly the same price due to our wonderfull economy

  • hey i can get one of the sanpera 2's for like $300 Australian dollars from my local shop,is that a decent price?

  • @elfyboy123456 it's 200 us dollars at the guitar center website, not sure how much that is in australian dollars haha hope it helps though

  • @elfyboy123456 i got it for 160 Euros

  • say your playing a song, the effect changes in the song while your playing, can you change the preset while playing and not stopping? like if i play with tremelo effect for example and want to change to a different preset then at somepoint change back all within the same song and not stop playing

  • awsome fn pedal i own one & i use it all the time!!

  • maaaaan, that was sweeeeeeet. i live in brazil and here this pedal costs about 850 dolars (1700 reais).

i am going to the states in december and i'll get mine, finilly!

  • i LOVE this f'n pedal SOO much!

  • I think we found david koresh!

  • I love how he is playing a schecter and not an ibanez

  • What chords is he playing

  • Does it work well with other amps or coluns? If yes are there limitations? Because everyone relates this pedal to peavey vypyr and i am going to buy a pedal and i wanted to know if this one was a good (economic) choise for other amps! I would really apreciate if someone could clear this one for me (: Thx for the demo btw ;D

  • @thebitchishungry It does not work with other Amps. This is just a remote for the Vypyr, nothing more. Well, it has 2 expression pedals too, but they doesnt work for other amps

  • Finally received my pedal today (from the rebate a few months ago).

This thing is so fun to use, especially the looper. Love the heavy duty cord that came with it as well.

  • Christmas wishes:

Peavey Vypyr 120H with a cab

    Sanpera II

This is gonna be one hell of a christmas

  • @codyjt5150 foreal do

  • @codyjt5150 Thats my Christmas Wish To

  • does the footswitch plug into the back of the amp? if not, where?

  • @metalnut2142 yes its on the back like on the opposite side of the plug for the outlet

  • @metalnut2142 it's plugged into the Midi input at the back of the amp

  • Comment removed

  • I like how they're not afraid to tell you both the ups and downs of the products. It's always nice to know what you're really buying.

    Great demo

  • This was the only time your playing didn't annoy me.

    :)

also i love this amp. Gonna get it this friday.

  • this is what they need to do...make a 4 x 3 screen that clamps onto the mike stand. uses a video cord that connects to the pedal and there you go...or you could just tape some binoculars to the mike stand...hahahah

  • Can someone tell me if the Sanpera cn be used with Pod Farm/Guitar Rig like a midi controller?

  • @frmainada Probably not...

  • The wah pedal on this thing is a piece of shit. First off, you just about have to stomp a mudhole in the expression pedal just to turn the wah on. Then, and I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, when your trying to use the wah, the sound just cuts off and you gotta repower the amp.

  • hey mine does the same and its brand new.....how DO you activate the wah though? is it toe down like a dunlop cry baby?

  • @CurtisRoxAtGuitar you have to REALLY stomp down on that shit....it took me a WEEK to find out! hahah

  • @itsallinthehands I had to figure out how to activate the aux and wah pedal the hard way. The thing is that it is difficult to activate sitting down. It helps if you try thinking that the pedals use the same type of knobs used for the other functions. Here's what to do - stand up and press down the tip or upper half of the pedal with your toes until it clicks. You may have to put all your weight forward on your toes the first couple times until you get the idea what it takes

  • go line 6 spider III.. much better.i have played side by side by side.line 6 tone is better. the FBC short board is much better the the Sanpera. then you can step in to the line6 spider valve which is what i own. it has better tone then any peavey that i had played or been around.

  • @Topher19801413

No way dude I own both and the vypyr smokes the spider hands down as far as tone and effects I don't know what you are talking about the spider being better lol

  • @Marathonmarch i think the spider III has better tone then the peavey. then i played the tube Vypyr and i still think the spider valve has better tone. so in both cases tube or not the spider has peavey beat

  • @Topher19801413

That's your opinion, but in my opinion the vypyr smokes the spider hands down periond.

  • @Topher19801413

Like I said I own the spider valve head and a vypyr 60 and the vypyr smokes the spider in all venues but that's my opinion and everyone else that has played them side by side at rehearsal. I have gigged exclusively with the vypyr for 9 months now and sounds fantastic. But of course if you like the spider then use it

  • I would like to hear the difference between the mic'd sound and the USB record out sound.

  • @Skicolorado75 This guy is using a mic. I use USB in my video.

  • is that from the peavey

  • Serious... a hair cut.. a shave.. and some shoes.. that's not too much to ask is it???

  • what are the chords to what he plays in the beginning?

  • @JPC0104 minor

  • @nicetgt that doesnt help me too much man.

  • @JPC0104 not sure. i think A minor C minor and sometime else

  • @JPC0104 E-minor, G, D-Major7, A, D-Major7, F, E-minor. the D major7 note sounds more like single note F# with full three finger cord D major. i hope this helps bro i play keyboard and guitar by ear so i am going with the keyboard notes. God Bless!!!!

  • @jlrmywork well thanks for the help man. you have been more of a help on here than anybody else

  • @JPC0104 your welcome bro.

  • what kinda of guitar is that?

  • @JPC0104 thet's a schecter tempest...custom..09 model...

  • BUY NEW SHOES!!!!!!

  • @nicetgt He's a guitar player. He can't afford them.

  • @nicetgt fuck shoes, he went for the sanpera

  • Hey Mule, you can adjust the sensitivity of the volume and wah pedals. Just remove the back plate, and adjust the height of the switch, i think it is plastic so just be careful

  • Hello, I was wondering if you could record your loops from the Sanpera pedal onto the computer. And, what is your opinion on the Gibson Explorer as far as value and performance.

  • My volume and wah pedals are so hard to switch that it is impossible to use them! I have been waiting for a replacement pedal since the summer of 2009!! The store I bought it from has spoken to the Peavey rep and even he can't get anything done for me! I like the pedal very much -- the looper is very nice and I like the access to amps and effects.. Beware that the switches in the pedals are a nightmare! (anyone from Peavey who sees this -- PLEASE HELP ME!!)

  • @epilp1 yea man you're right but i wanted to point that spending 200$ on that pedal is kinda useless..

  • @epilp1 yea but i didn't meant only for the tube amp,all the amps wich surpass 30 watt in the vypyr series have a sanpera pedal jack INCLUDING THE 30 THE 60(TUBE), 75 ,AND 100(i think its 100 wich also is tube) . And wait i just gave an example with the boss pedal ,you can buy w/e pedal you want the point is you can get more with 200$ than that sanpera pedal:)

  • @ T1gRe can you use the boss ME20 for the peavey vypyr

  • @ilikebacontacos if the freaking mt2 works on it the me20 has to :)

  • @stoocake your right. pedal(s) are harder to try and keep track of. batteries, and the worry of patch cables. i'd much rather work with the sanpera or a multi effects pedal so it's all in one. big gig you probably won't be using a little peavey combo amp unless you put it into a speaker cabinet or PA system.

  • personally ... i find it kinda useless.. i mean ok .. the looper... THE BEST THING THIS PEDAL CAN OFFER ... and more banks .. ok .. more banks fine .. and the wah pedal wich btw is a pain in the ass to activate. All this just for 200$ :) damn man the amp is like 300.. why buy this when you could buy a multieffect pedal ... like an boss ME20 and get more things than you actually get from both those sanpera pedals together ?!

  • Why is everyone from GearWire so fucking weird?

  • hey im just wondering, how does this pedal plug into the amp, and for the amp itself, i have a 30 watt and is it accessible with the boss ME-70?

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!

  • will i b able 2 emulate tom morrelo like effects with vyper75watt amp n d footswitch or m i better off buyin pedals? plz ans i m buyin 2 buy dis amp

  • can i change between the clean and dist' of the diffirent amps from the sanpera , like he turn the delay on and off in 5:51 ?

  • i just bought this pedal nd i was wondering how hard it is to see the display while standing

  • Is it just me or is the whah pedal a pain to activate? I have to be standing up to push down on the pedal really hard to activate the whah. Can't do it when seating down. HEEEEEELP!!

  • Open the back cover and adjust the screw on the paddle counter-clock wise about a quarter turn. To fine tune it, leave the cover off and place it on a solid surface. Check the switch activation and adjust as necessary.

  • @goat136948 does this void the warranty or anything?

  • Best part? The hole in the sneaker!!

  • Where does the pedal hook into your amp?

and would it work with my Line 6, 15 watt spider?

  • It hooks in via a MIDI jack on the back of the amp.

  • @Ranulfpitike Naw bro im pretty sure it only works on 30 watt+

  • it hooks into the back amd its only designed for the peavey vypyr

  • How long is the 8pin midi cable?

  • i own oa 75 watt peavey vypyr amp and sanpera 2 pedal the cable is about 20 ft long

  • Thanks, that would work for me considering I use a 12 foot instrument cable

  • yea its def a great accesorie to the amp i love it! its so awesome u have this gear?

  • want the pedal

  • great review dude

  • Great review! I love it!

So how much cash are we talking for a Sanpera and a Sanpera ii?

  • Sanpera I is about $100 Sanpera II is about 200

  • Just an FYI, I have this amp and it's the best thing that happened to my playing in 20 years. Thanks for the info, it helped me get started, Peavey needs to send more info about this amp when we buy it. Thanks for the help :)

  • if anyone else did what i did and saw this and thought it was pretty cool, but dont have a vyper or the money to spend on a new amp, i would suggest the digitech rp255 or 355. they dont have 2 expression pedals but they have alot of the same features, and a few extra things.

  • There are 20 little screws on the bottom of the foot pedal. Take them out and remove the metal back plate. There are adjustment screws for the wah wah and the volume. This is very easy to do. Remember to putthe metal plate and the screws back in.

  • you get the idea xD that doesn work

  • Okay, if the 3 banks have 4 preset's each, you have 12, just on the amp. How does the sanpera II change that to 400?

  • you get 100 banks!

  • okay, so are all these, pre made, or can you save them to what you want?

  • first 20 banks are premade(you can change them if youwant) but then they are repeated 4 times so on the next 80 banks you can store whatever you want!

  • @fullofblood Ohkay, thanks for the help! :)

  • damn, he's got no shame, look at those shoes haha

  • where do you plug the sanpera II into the amp?

  • I think you plug your guitar into the pedal then plug the pedal into the guitar input.

  • @Ytsejam obviously you haven't got one. It has a very specific lead, nothing like a guitar lead. It doesn't fit into the input jack on the amp.

  • Yeah I apologise for the mistake :)

It has an 8-pin MIDI connector, which goes into the back of the amp, into the "remote switch" input.

  • only on 30 watts and above though =(

  • Yeah but to be honest who needs one for less than 75w?

  • true true, but that means no pedals for the 15 watt.

  • There is a dedicated "Remote Switch" port on the back. It looks kinda like a midi port.

  • so does this need the vypyr or does it just work best with it?

cuz the impression that im getting from alot of places is that this is an accessory that only works with the vypyr.

it would break my heart if that was the case. lol

  • You can access all the effects on the Vypyrs except for the looper feature with allows you to record up to 30 seconds, play it back and play along with it. You will need the Sanpera I or II to do the looper. Sanpera II is better as when you open a patch you can turn the effects on & off that are saved in it.

  • @rockster07 yes it only works with the vypyr. sorry, lol

  • this is just to change threw presets and to change effects easier. right? but if you got this amp in order to use the effects do you have to have this or not?

  • u dont have to have it tto have that pedal thing

  • can the expression pedal be used for pitch shifting?

  • what mic is he using?

  • Woo i did wut u said and now it work good :D Tyvm

  • That suk... if i want to activate the tuner or the WAh on my Sanpera II i gotta hit damm hard on it.. like it dont work like the guy in the video. any 1 can help me out ?

  • you have to open it up and adjust the screw on the bottom of the footswitch

I know, that's probably not what you are in a hurry to do :)

  • The pedals don't work like they would if they had a switch like most pedals, they have a pressure sensor i think. what works for me is if you give a quick, but forceful stomp. if you take your time you end up having to centralize your weight on them.
