  • How do you develop leg strength to do like a side kick but keep your leg in the air for a certain period of time?

  • @bassivity first and foremost you have to strengthen the muscles of your standing leg. one way to go is the following: stand in front of a wall, do a sidekick and let your kicking leg or rather your foot lean against it. now you have to move your upper body towards your standing foot. then go back up. repeat this movement as often as you can. i hope you know what i mean ;)

  • im doing tkd, we allways stretch before kicking, but i find it quite hard stretching, anyone got any tips how to make it like more funner? or less pain in the legs??

  • when i first began stretching it hurt really bad but i found that listening to music helped keep my mind off of it a little bit lol

    nothing will get rid of the pain completely except pushing yourself. dont push so far that it hurts to the extent where you want to cry or anything lol but when your legs are out and you push yourself farther the pain goes away faster.. hope that helpd a little lol

  • It always helps me if I remember to keep the muscles I'm stretching completely relaxed while stretching. Any tension I impose or resistance by tensing myself up just makes it harder lol and music really does help.
