  • Thanks for your comment & yes there is something special about these old airfields. I spend a lot of time at Charmy Down airfield it's very quiet & peaceful so hard to imagine the frantic activity that was the norm on a busy Fighter station during WWII.

  • Thanks for your comment & interest. The airfields are RAF Bardney,Lincolnshire (Bomber Command), RAF Charmy Down,Avon (Fighter Command) & RAF Davidstow Moor,Cornwall (Coastal Command).
