that happens to me all the time on FIFA :( the keeper can grab it. But as long as he've grabbed it, it can't be a cornerkick, goal etc... It's so boring :(... FIFA 09 was also bad when I shot 1000's of volleys and 500 did go in. But they flew straight and it was a goalkick. FIFA is a game with great licensed content. But the gameplay is very bad :( It's impossible to enjoy playing.
