  • No crash=No show...

  • Ive marshalled a couple rallies and will be marshalling more. Spectator and road. Even Id be right there to flag them down having seen that hole. Took them how long to put 2 and 2 together? BS. Its things like this being the reason Im starting to bring a yellow flag along.

  • @racinkid13

A yellow flag in wrc events means stage stopped . thats why they cant be used to slow cars . its a stupid rule.

  • The spectacle of a crash is over-riding safety here. Bad to see peoples hard work and graft battered and broken. Fail.

  • this is just like another clip on youtube, where fans have made a giant jump, cousing one driver to total his ride, all becus of stupidety from the spectaitors

  • That hole was man made by the spectators

  • The marshals should hang their heads in shame. But then, never bring an arsehole to a rally, for you'll be sure to find one there.

That's just ridiculous what went on there. Why did a spectator not intervene if a marshal was too busy laughing. The MSA should look into this.

  • these guys are the scumbag steve of rally fans

  • God quit with all this slow down business! Rallying is about crashes, flooring it and excitement! If you can't handle that stick to formula 1 you fucking pussies!

  • aww yer its soooo funny watching £260.000 worth of rally car been destroyed -_-

  • The people laughing should be shot, idiots. This is a great sport but not for people like that.

  • thats fucking ridiculous

  • hey this is cool!

  • why the nascar have audiance? why a lot of crash compilation dvd are sold? for the same reason crash... 90% of the people love to see crash, its part of the show.

  • why was me not there i would go and collect the car parts that fly off after the rally and build me a rally car.

  • fucking retards stand and lagh!!!

  • if i were 16 id have thought this was ace, loads of cars crashing. but now im 20, abit older, worked for a race team and experienced the effort of preparing a car for a rally, its gutwrenching watching this.

  • bloody hell, Jason Pritchard had a hell of a nose dive

  • Comment removed

  • Damn funny huh?

  • What were the Marshalls thinking?

  • Stupid idiots

  • 3:08 people: slow down dudeee..

    3:11 driver: shut up!

    3:12 people: told ya

  • Btw at 1:43 he just broke the radiator.

  • I think the marshall near the jump should have make signs to the drivers so they can ease up on the gas knowing that theres a fuckin big hole waiting to wreck their car.

  • I love how the spectators reactions never changed, no matter how many cars were bent in half. True rally fans.

  • the slower they went the bigger the acccident; 1:39

  • Useless Marshals - what are they getting paid for? great to watch until someone gets hurt...

  • Man next time go near the jump and sign then to slow down!! they dont know JESUS!

  • @POSTY1ify you can't stop a SS for a bad sector of 20 yrd that's what rallying is all about.

in my opinion 2 things went wrong:

1 the marshalls at the scene should have informed the marshalls at the start of the SS so they could have given info about this particular place.

2 the marshalls should have warned much more earlier.

  • the 1st ford fiesta R2 must have been the worst

  • 2:05 "This one coming fast"

  • Damn..poor cars D:

  • Dobry odcinek :D

  • oooooooooohhh,, thats a big trap...

  • Chould of been avoided feel sorry for the teams who have waisted months of there time and effort to get there gutting

  • that fun jajajajaXD

  • OMG!!! What a mess...

  • 拆保險桿用的?

  • Why stopping the SS? Don't you think, every team has got a codriver, a well prepared roadbook for every yard/meter of that stage and at least eyes to see and react for hints of the stage personal??? Rally driving has got like any car race the need to drive WITH exact speed control by acceleration and DECELERATION. You know that F1-Pilots do not win a race because they are faster than the others. They win because they brake stronger and later than the others!

  • It's funny to the people watching but not funny to the ones who have to pay for the damage to the engines and sequential boxes. Definately should have been stopped. Least in the end there were a lucky few who were warned

  • Why you didnt't slowe them down? Because you liked how it going to be crashed?

  • @NusiprasukVeida Exactly what i was thinking too..

  • @NusiprasukVeida did you read the description??? can you read ????

  • @NusiprasukVeida Human is evil.

  • @NusiprasukVeida "spectators can be heard calling for the cars to be slowed down."

  • @NusiprasukVeida how and what could he do? He was too far from the jump to run to it and tel the drivers to slow down.

  • @NusiprasukVeida 100% true! shame for those ppl, wasting all teams their money just for a little movie..

  • Cool

  • the faster drivers got the car more damaged then the slow ones :(

  • English and Welsh peoples also doing gloating : ))

  • Comment removed

  • this is pure retarded

  • drží drží :-D všiml si někdo?

  • Brake oveer crest

  • Why isn't anyone trying to fix that hole with their feet while they had time?

  • It wouldn't of been so bad if they sped up

  • you think this event is a car breaker now ? you should check out the videos of the 70's 80's and 90's when it was a 5 day event not the WRC pantomime it is now, anyone takes a car into a stage stands a chance of breaking it no matter what thats rallying and thats part of the attraction of the sport to competitors and spectators alike its called thrill and spills, the fact there are people there laughing about it doesnt mean a thing

  • you know the equasion of rally?

Normal Roads + Maximum Attack = Dramatic actions

rally is great for some reason... thats the reason, yes a rally car is 100 plus k pounds, but they are made to race in this roads...

    just enjoy rally!

    cheers

  • What is so funny about people smashing there cars up after spending so much time and money prepairing them. I just can't understand how any body can stand there laughing , I know rallying is hard on cars but that is pointless and should have been stopped or somebody trying to worn the drivers

  • @CHUFFERNELSON i you dont like the WRC...

    1) why are you watching this video?

    2) go fuck your self

  • @ChoclitPhunda hahahaha you fuckin retard!

  • @CHUFFERNELSON excuse me sir, but that is rally, that is what it is all about, the fact that you don't know the terrain ahead is what rally is about, yes the co-driver will tell you some, but that is what makes rally so exciting and unpredictable fun, not like some circuit car going round and round the same ole track, in rally conditions change. makes winners or loosers.

  • @nickflame9 I understand that conditions change in rallying and some can boarder on the extreme and some cars can take it better than others. but i'm not talking about every other rally i'm just pointing out that bit on that rally. So do you call that rallying at 1.43 when the subaru smashes the front end quite severely probably damaging the intercooler and the radiator. Bet he wasn't giggling like the people stood at the side of the camcorder!

  • @CHUFFERNELSON fair point.

  • @CHUFFERNELSON but you do have a point in this video because of the severity of the terrain, but thats it, these cars race on cliffs for God sake

  • @CHUFFERNELSON the people who laugh are no rally fans: s

  • kel bande de con XD

  • That Hole Could Easily loosen a Radiator Mount lol

  • šuspleh FTW!

  • my tractor does not stuck often but when it's do,its a show !

  • I♥U RALLY:)

  • Questi coglioni che ridono non li capisco

  • well the marshalls were hopeless as usual.... waving cars over a couple of times and not doing much else.... Did nobody have a yellow flag?

  • i say let them hit it full throttle. its funny.

  • Why they not cancelled the event?

  • @PuntoDeRebase what for? its rallying, there are more many place wich are more worser than this

  • beautiful place!!!!a lot of show!!!

  • after every single car oooooooohhh woaaaaahhhhhhhh

  • That's a joke... but very entertaining to watch at the same time. Glad no-one was hurt apart from their vehicles :/

  • in all fairness mind the mini and the ds3 didnt fair too badly from it. tough cars em

  • if you think that pot hole is bad, you should try driving round swansea

  • should have filled the hole with laughing spectators imo

  • as time passes the crash was just getting worst ROFL

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

  • It took 8 drivers to wreck their cars before the marshalls decided to warn any one :| guess the mini felt like ignoring the marshalls too :P

  • bad bump

  • 3:51 tańczy electro:D

  • kurwa ile tam huj kasy strzelił.."oooooo"..

  • you were defently in a nice jump!!!!pure action

  • Kościuszko też urwał:) Szkoda aut, zwłaszcza SUBARU:(

  • after every car. "OOOOOOO!!!!!!"

  • have a look at this thread [you will need to register on the British Rally Forum to see it]. I started it after what I saw in this vid and my own involvement in the Rally...

Issues with the Marshalling on Wales Rally GB in the BRITISH STAGE RALLYING area

  • @ZXCV3211 Title of the thread is "Issues with the Marshalling on Wales Rally GB"

  • Respond to this video... I can't post the whole link to the thread for some reason so just go to British Rally Forum and then you can navigate down to the thread mentioned above

  • stupid pricks

  • Each car would have to change to where the broken car

  • why would they let it continue to do that? why not fix the road or tell the drivers to slow down or watch out. what bunch of asses.

  • so which asshole took their shovel and made that dip?

  • That should have been stopped. That's not just another obstacle. Those guys had no chance to miss that hole and it probably cost them loads of money to fix their cars.

  • If you'd spent 50,000 to 100,000 doing up a rally car, would you want to see it trashed like this?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Hahahahah crowd be enjoying that shit. Fuck stopping it.

  • Comment removed

  • diabolical ! thats not rallying!

  • so why should it have been stopped? theres a dip in the road, so what?

  • @mackensie2212 1 its dangerous. 2. not on pace notes, and who the hell wants to see cars being put through that .

  • @escortmk112 cars don't have feelings.

  • Ouuuhohohouooo

  • Funny :D

  • shit marshalling there, is there not a universal signal to warn the drivers of danger????!

Sweet lamb was a joke this year, I queued for an hour and 20 mins to get on the stage... to find only 1 marshall taking money....

hmm why not have a few lanes so that numpties without tickets don't hold everyone else up....

  • if you can afford to run and buy a car that cost what they do, then you can afford to repair it. They should have been warned though

  • What the hell did it take the marshalls so long to get trackside and identify the problem?? Then proceed to wave down some cars but let others through fully committed?? Farcical!!!!

  • I WOULD TIE A STRONG ROPE BEETWEEN ORGANIZER BALLS AND HIS PERSONAL CAR AND DRIVE HIM THROUGH THAT TRENCH TEN TIMES IN A ROW.

  • fuck this is painful to watch

  • Why this stupid spectators did not slow down all those crews... what kind of fans are they ... maybe they should change discipline and start attending destruction derby instead !!

  • ALE URWAŁ ALE TO BYŁO DOBRE

  • let's fly

  • if u dont have much time for this vid, theres action:

    0:08 0:28 0:46 1:05 1:24 1:43 2:08 2:46 3:11 3:33 and 3:53

  • @patrykbfk

youre a real men of genius.

  • @patrykbfk Tnx Good Guy Greg !

  • Why is the crowd clapping?

  • so what happened when 00 and MSA safety went through?

  • Surely they have 2 way radios which this could all have been avoided after the 1st two cars!! Its rediculous!

  • What an absolute shambles , clearly should have been stopped before the carnage tallied up . A lot of expensive cars wrecked and entry fees wasted .

  • Anyway whats the point of taking action after the nationals had been through? their cars are a lot weaker than the WRC cars! MUPPETS!

  • shameful just wrong someone should have saved the destruction to those cars .

  • What that fuckin rally and stupid people and somebody mans warning only one drivers ???? that race is not rally

  • Damn

I was listening to the rally on-line and heard many drivers at end of this stage explaining the carnage from "the whole". Some saying there was a dozen cars stopped. This definately explains there frustrations better then any words.

  • the real fans will have been cringing not laughing

  • ????????????????? What were the marshals thinking? why did they have to wait until Dale Furniss had to come there to make the cars slow down? That hole ruined Jason Pritchard and Dale Furniss's rally along with many others! Muppets!

  • @rallyingrich clearly u never bothered reading any earlier comments when i mentioned that the sector marshal and radio had radioed in to the stage commander voicing concerns with regards to the hole after the nationals had run through and all were ignored, the idea of slowing them was also asked and declined.

  • @frazermetcalfe Who do you think you are being the know all, i know what was going on on that rally as i was working on it, your right though, there were too many chiefs and not enough indians on this event, ive done it for 9 years and this event was the worst organised event. the organisers didnt know what they were doing from the start. i am only emphasizing how bad they were! but people should start taking responsabillity, why else are the marshals there? their not just for spectator safety!

  • rediculous...what people dot realise is the cost of these repairs and the disapointment...it should have been cancelled that stage much earlier.

  • Crap!! not even one rally car rolled from that damn hole..!! these drivers are ultra badassess..Can someone please dig that hole a bit further..want to see some real action!!

  • @crackingsnopaying Dont you understand how much these cars cost , the fact that the people in the video are laughing is bad enough , but you wanting someone to roll is just sick. you're taking about people's lives. i hope to god you don't count you're self as a rally fan , you make me sick!

  • @meimwj I guess you are a real stuck up guy or an alien who doesn't understand humor...I emphasized how these drivers are ULTRA BADASSES despite the unexpected the got through it!! That's respect I have for these chaps...n if prob they could dig the hole further they would weed out some competition. n I really appreciate these guys..

  • wow it should be on co-drivers notes

  • @geoffers158 exactly!!

  • nice to see some people are starting to listen to what i have been saying with regards to telling the officials. It is not difficult to tell all the competitors about the problem before they set off, it was a 4.1k stage to slow down would not lose them much time, i am upset for what has happened and would love to rewind time. The spectators laughing is not on.

  • This is incredible!!!

  • Thats ridiculous is that

  • Had the FIA chosen not to listen to the marshals on the ground and said that no warning was to be given, then the above wouldn't have been happening and Evans might have continued, but they wanted a spectacle while the marshals and crowd wanted an event to continue. Heard it all on my scanner over the marshals radio

  • It wasnt the maeshals fault, it was radioed through to everywhere but nothing could be done, so it is not the marshals fault!! They did the right thing, i know this, i was a marshal but i was at a later junction on the stage.

  • @LiamCotterz96 cheers buddy if only a few more were like you, nightmare scenario, and like i said feel upset and would love to rewind time.

    never mind, song for Erfyn.

  • Just for info, all drivers were made aware of the culvert that had dropped through, and in conjuction with FIA safety made the decision to continue the stage.

  • @4nicmac4 not at this point in the rally

  • INEXPERIENCED MARSHALS! If I was marshaling or spectating there I would have gone next to track before and put thumbs down and slow down handsignals at least! Amateur shite organisation here.

01:55 And especially for Erfyn Evans at 01:55 . He was lead two wheel drive car, and could lose out on a 500,000 euro development grant for that load of shite organised reesponse to track conditions. To say he is fuming is an understatement. He was flawless all through the rally.

  • As one of the spectators by this jump, I was seriously dissapointed with the standard of the marshaling. As soon as some damage was occuring to the cars, they were laughing and joking and had forgotten their role of keeping spectators and competitors safe.

The drivers weren't warned of this at the start of the stage as the starting marshall didnt know about it. Its a shame that two local lads had their rally ruined.

  • Uzasna prdel, zasmal jsem se!

  • yea granted a verbal warning should have been given at the stage start, have done this myself on past rallies

  • How comes the Momument stage was only for World rally pass holders even tho ot was on sunday and i had a sunday pass

  • Ok so maybe the organisers hold the majority of the blame I can accept that as it has clearly been said. But surely any decent human being would ignore an instruction from some guy all the way in Cardiff and do the respectable thing and slow them down anyway. That's what I would have done even if I was a speccy on the stage. Rather see a stage cancelled than £1000's and £1000's of damage to nationals and privateers with small budgets

  • Like the video ... Dislike the damage being done!!

  • i was there for the nationals & the afternoon wrc, not far from the camera. let me be clear: this clip dosent show how many cars the marshals tried to slow down or move over, which was most of them. i was supriesed the hole wasnt fixed, especially for the nationals who didnt have the speed to clear it, or the budgets to fix smacked and bent cars. the sentiment i felt from the fans was more of concern &pain for the teams. for peeps hating those laughing, would you rather people be quiet or cry?!?

  • Well said @frazermetcalfe, far too many armchair marshals on here criticising the wrong people! Any fault lies with the organisers for not listening to the marshals on the ground.

When the situation became critical the marshals ignored their instructions and started to slow the competitors down which was the correct thing to do.

Those who should be ashamed of themselves are the ghouls who stood on the bank laughing!

  • as an ex marshal i cant believe the marshals collected bits from cars without standing before jump telling drivers to keep right or slow down...

  • Who was the stage commander for SS16?

  • @eatmydustdusteaters Phil Rees I believe.
