@nightcrawler511 Did they even have recorders that small back then? I don't remember anything like that even in the early 70's. If it was, then all she got was screaming. She sure is holding it like a recorder though. She notices that she is starting to let it down and then holds it up higher. There is no way it would sound even listenable.
Rock concert logistics and technology were very primitive back then, and many members of bands back then would tell you that the vocal mics were *terrible*. The techs never seemed to get it right!
This great song has a hidden message in it, like many Beatles songs. To find out what it is, search "truth contest" in Google and click the 1st result. Then open The Present and read the section titled The Beatles.

What an amazing charisma. all this power without any stupid piercings, tattoos or stupid attitude. Nowadays new" artists" do all of it just to attract people's attention. I have to point out that the vast majority sucks, but fortunately there are some good exceptions.
At first glance, one would notice Paul or John as the standout in the band. I love the two of them, no doubt about it. But the more I watch videos of the Beatles, it's becoming apparent that Ringo is the most endearing one. The way he hits his drum set sends out a very contagious energy. Plus, his smile is genuine. ;-) I wasn't born yet when this band made waves, but i can relate to what they were singing about. The Beatles is indeed a band that knows no generation boundaries. They're endless.
I wasn't alive then, but I still manage to feel a sad ache of longing over the fact that there isn't anything around to get THIS excited over today, like there was in 1964.
@trabongo You can only hear Johns voice. When they did Ed Sullivan it was the other way around. Johns mic was too low, and you could hear Paul better.
I mean, you can not get any better than this. This is true Rock "and/or" Roll! And yes, Ringo, in my opinion is one of the best drummers of all time. Love this song!!!
