Our Gouverments pay billions of Dollars for Mars Expeditions , and not to forget for improving stuff like the IPhone ... really, People, WAKE UP ... this is just wrong. THOSE PEOPLE ARE DIEING CAUSE OF HUNGER .. and those advertising companies should give rice for free ... enough to feed all hungry people that would make any company IMMORTAL !

@TheCashproject That's exactly the point. Yes, it is a shame that governments don't donate more money to this sort of cause. Not that space expeditions aren't important, but you are right in that it is sad that more cannot be done for these people. Stuff like the iPhone though, that isn't government funded, and the people who make the iPhone can do whatever they want because that's their money. They do have that right.

@TheCashproject And the advertising companies can't just give the rice away for free. They have to pay for it somehow. And the only way to do it is for people to buy the products or services that they are selling. That's how they get the money for the rice. Otherwise where would all the rice come from?

@TheCashproject You have to understand, though, that the money for the rice comes from sponsors. And the sponsors have to advertise their products or companies to get the money for the rice. They do this by advertising on the Freerice website. How else would they get the money for all that rice? Besides, it gives people a good way to get involved with the situation. It inspires people to help the cause of world hunger, and some may even feel inclined to donate money themselves after playing.
