Anyway, what I meant was that in the little text box in the beginning of the game, you tell the player to use savestates, while you don't (seem to) use them in this video, yourself. Maybe I'm just being horribly blind.

I think that I actually DID use rewinds, but I made it look like I didn't with editing. Like, I think I would let the death jingle play, rewind a few times, and get back to the point where I died. Then I'd cut out the in-between time. :P If I DID do that, it would have only been to save time, though.

you put quite a few things in this that really are not bad, now given, you also put almost the same amount of this that are REALLY BAD, however

-muncher mazes are not lazy editing, they are something that is normal in a hack

-you have the right to put whatever music you wish into any level you wish, its YOUR HACK

-making someone go back for an item, or telling them they forggot it and now are screwed, isnt that bad, unless the level is SUPER HARD AS HELL and the item is way back,SAVEASTATE!!!

-Muncher mazes are good if you edit the munchers so they aren't cut off.

-You can put whatever music you want in but if you want it to seem more professional you'll want fitting music.

-If they are stuck without an item they forgot and have to run out of time/kill themselves since they can't get back, that's not good level design.

In my hack, I DO change the blocks, but I usually don't make it a major, required edit, and if I do, or do anything malicious with it, I will give a warning. (! blocks.)

also, something I have to point out that no one covered.

if your using the line-guided rope, DO NOT HAVE A BLOCK IN IT'S PATH. if mario makes contact, he'll be pushed off, and he'll be able to climb anywhere in mid-air. Though someone really daring might be able to make a level out of this... XD great job!

say, I'm wondering, about the musical dissonance part, I wonder if just plain silence would count as that or blandness. I guess it could count for a really ominous place. XD

and to everyone thinking the mid-air munchers are a good idea, there's a patch floating around SMWC that turns them into mines that I'm using, it makes it look much less awkward. ;) and I'm not making mazes or anything, just for a few puzzles. XD
