  • "Emmigrate" lol, the USA captured soo many scientists and doctors whose war crimes were just erased if they chose to work for the american government. And now we have NASA, von Brauns "creation" so to speak.

  • @Grottgreta like the uncle of my father ;) - he worked with werner von Braun to create this v2 rocket and after war they told him to work in america and now he lives there with family and stuff^^

  • Surely more of these detonated on Germany controlled ground than actually successfully crossing the channel.

  • nope. well actually you might be close. however some 5,000 of them hit england and belgium and a few other countries in lesser numbers. but there were only a few hundred test launches.

  • @chikka0001 quite a few hit London tho. And Belgium. I'm sure it wasn't a nice experience.

  • god this must have been so economically tolling. no prototypes are cheap, and those launch sites don't look too inexpensive either.
