  • cool, favourited!

  • what can i use intead of cheerios ???? Please respond ! i just bought like a huge box of cocoa puffs and i dont want to waste money buying other cereal because i dont really like cheerios

  • @arkeljankushova i would use any bird food pellet in place of the cheerios ( i use ZuPreem NutBlend Flavor it smells so good you will want to eat it your self no joke ) just grind in a food processor or blender. I add it to my birdy bread.

  • Where do you let it cool ? in the fridge ?

  • @arkeljankushova No, just let it cool at room temperature until it's hardened.

  • Can u use rice bubbles?

  • THATS SOOO CUTE,IM ABOUT TO CRY !:D ,THANKS IT REALLLLYY HELP ME & MY BIRD(TAZZY) :)

  • are cheerios (sugar) okay for them?

  • will this work for larger birds or only for the smaller ones.

  • can i use cornflakes for this?

  • @Budini67 thank you for the reply n help !

  • I made these for new cockatiel and he loves them!!! He's a young bird, only 6 months old or so, and at first he didn't know what they were, or what to do with them. It took a couple of days for him to realize they were a food item. Now he's devouring them like mad! TY so much for this recipe. It's so easy to make.

  • Hi can i use cheerios with honey flavour?

  • @usmansadaaf You should use the plain cheerios.. Not honey flavored, not frosted, because those type have extra sugar that the plain ones don't. Sugar isn't good for your birds.

  • Lovely video. I do this for all of my birds from finches up to Meyer's - and the egg food too- and variations of it. The birds love it. Your birds look healthy and beautiful. {:>)=

  • isnt honey bad for birds? becuse i have 1 idont know what feed him ihave seeds

  • @sadd909 Pet stores sell these. Honey treat sticks. I think too much of anything is bad, but honey, given in moderation, should be ok.

  • isn't honey bad for birds?

  • Wow, thanks. My birds love them! I made 3 sticks and little balls.

  • Will it work for parakeets?

  • Celsius or Fahrenheit????

  • @lovely3ari Fahrenheit.

  • I don't have conventional oven, I have microwave oven. Shall it work?

  • how big is the cup that u are using?

  • can this treat be for lovebirds?

  • my god that honey looks disgusting? here in new zealand, honey is a yellowy-golden colour. im not trying to discriminate.. just giving my opinion.

  • @XsnowpeaX There are many different kinds of honey. There is creamed honey, white honey, golden honey, even red and purple honey. It all depends on what colour the flower is that the bees harness from :)

  • @14Raine14 , thanks for the clarification :D i just thought it was some kind of mutant honey :P (im kidding), thanks!

  • wild birds would really like this too.

  • Hi, where I'm at, It's pretty hard to find cherrios. can i use Kellogg's cereal instead? pls reply :) thanks for sharing!

  • @iliruzanna94 Just don't use any "frosted" cereals with sugar on them. Only plain cheerios, plain wheat cereals, etc.

  • please give me an answer, if we have small birds like parakeets how many cup of cheerios, honey, and seed mixture do we use? can it last long outside? because i made my parakeets and cockatiel a big aviary outside and can it last in the refigerator? because i really like your recipe and i want to know

  • I would even eat that.

  • sweet cherrios or regular?

  • @KarinaRockss Regular. No "frosted cheerios" or anything like that. The only sugar my birds get is fruit (when I can get them to eat it), never any processed sugar!

  • @AnnieKay74 thanks :]

  • Hello are pedigree dog food safe for cockatiels ?

any one has tested this ? I read the contents and it has all the minerals and vitamins required for a bird....

  • @sangam061289 No, dog food is not a healthy for birds. It has a lot more protein in it then they need, which can cause health problems. I'm sure they can be given a piece or two without issue, but I wouldn't ever use it as their main diet. Different animals have different foods for a reason.

  • @Mikamod Thanks a lot for ur advice....

  • is the oven temp ferinheight or celcius

  • ferinheight or Celsius????

  • OMG!!!! i have that cuppp.......... lol. XD

  • @dragonfliesftw555 saame! lol mines clear thoo

  • are these good for parakeets too!!! ;)

  • homemade nutra barries , yhink i will give that atry

  • These treats be good for larger birds too? (Macaws)

  • @1723Trains For larger birds, use a food mixture made for Macaws or larger birds. You can use a larger pellet mixture instead of cheerios.

  • Yo, you have to make me some of this!

  • Where did u buy that bird treat holder?! I want one so bad!! :)

  • @Melindaz1 I got this one at Petsmart :-) You could probably use one of the larger millet holders too.

  • @AnnieKay74
