Where is the Maus in this video ? I didnt see it .....cause there were only 11 prototypes produced... and all were destroyed by their own crews as the russians advanced to the area where they were deployed for testing.... (one could have been be prepared for battle against russian forces some articles say) the Russians found two of theese and built one tank of the two crippled tanks .... and the only REAL Maus is to be see at Kubinka Tank Museum in Moscow.
@aLlArUsSo I'm sorry. It is not a real Maus.It is a model.(REAL Maus is to be see at Kubinka Tank Museum in Moscow.)I want to go to Moscow to watch a REAL MAUS.
@BigAndTall666 Watch? it just sits there, emptied of all internal peices. I wish they would bring it back to running order, but it would tear up the concrete on the floor and destroy the ground it rode on.
Thanks for posting. Everytime I see video or pics from the Samur museum, it sickens me to think of how pitiful the facilities at Aberdeen Proving Grounds are. Thank God Europe has a sense of history.
Japan has artillery, helo carriers, warships, submarines, fighters, tanks, helicopters and men with assaullt rifles who train like any other army. JSDF is bigger and better equipet than most "real armies".
We Germans were colononized by the Anglo-American forces, too! We are slaves to USA. Japan and (native) Germany are very similar regarding their mentality: discipline, organization, creativity,... Nowadays we have the problem of invasion especially by Orientals and Africans. Our government says we needed them! But how could it be? Those people have achieved nothing of intellectual or economic worth what would be important for the world. It is just a cultural incompatibility.
The only thing I can think the Maus would be anyway useful is for the defense of Berlin. With a top speed of 12.5 MPH on road and 7 MPH cross country made sure it wasn't going anywhere too far, and at 185 Tons insured that a separate ammo truck would have to accompany it where ever it went just to cut back on the weight. The idea was just to keep Hitler happy.
Thanks Dr. S. Hart & Dr. R. Hart for you book German Tanks of World War II
If the germans wanted to be victorious then they had to built Maus Panzer at the beginning of the War. But at the end it was just too expensive building such massive vehicles
@codysiny Germany asked for the Maus back in the 50s and Russia said something around 6 billion reichmarks, which, when split in half, germany could not afford. They have since given up the idea of giving the mouse a proper home.
@codysiny Hey it wasn't the Russians that invaded and stole everything from other countrys it was the Germans rememeber they tryed twice and lost twice like a bunch of losers
well E100 was lighter but it was longer and wider and had a bigger gun 150mm but maus was heavier and had more armor but smaller gun a 128mm gun whit approximately 100 rounds and a co-axial 75 mm gun
@chrthiel theres been debate over that, some argue about wheather or not those dimensions were truthful. Russains claimed the 85mm could penetrate a Tiger I's front armor at 200 yards. Thats Impossible!
Q hermoso panzer esta bien conservado sin duda alguna

Japan does not have the armed forces.
The Japanese constitution was forced on your country.China will have a carrier in the near future.I am afraid.

MokomaSusi 2 years ago
look i believe that the Japanese people one of the smartest and more disciplined nations
and i think if they were not dragged to the WWII they might be the leaders of the world by now
and i think if they liked to have the largest and the most sophisticated weapons, they will
make it in a year or less

@riskyrieske 185 tons empty. With crew, rounds, a full tank of gas and equitment, it ended up about 200 tons.

The maus looks awesome. I dont think its a practical tank yo use in war? Im going to admit though that i dont have to much knowledge about this tank.

@petrwarry by bare dimentions, yes, but going by cubic feat, no.
Maus5000 1 year ago
Actually, the largest tank ever build was the French Char 2C. It's 18cm longer and 46cm taller than the Panzer VIII Maus.
chrthiel 2 years ago
not really it might be taller and longer but overall maus was way heavier
edike 2 years ago
As I said, it was larger. I never said it was heavier.
