i personally choose not to smith in skyrim. i like the satisfaction and mystery of what items i might find. it gives me motivation. if i just go make all the best stuff, then why adventure at all if im not going to find something better than what i have? i may make another character with high smithing, but for now on my main character im just going to wear what i find on my adventures.
