@CursedExileUnltd If you're inside the working PS document, hold down the "alt" ("option" key on Mac). If you're dragging from one PS doc to another, In PS CS4, make sure the layer is unlocked and then press "v" (to get the move tool). Click and hold on the selected layer (image - not on the layers panel) and drag that layer to your other tab and hold over that tab until it switches. Then place your mouse over the document and release the mouse button.
@kitty3309 Hi. Thanks for your honest assessment of the tutorial. This was constructed for 3, 10 minute sections and in my haste, I decided that it would be ok for beginners to use it. Obviously you can use a different rope (& if you're advanced enough) remove and create your own shadow/rope. My tutorials are focused towards those beginning in PS. I hope that in the future I can have a tutorial geared for you and other advanced users...thanks.
If you copy and paste ( and/or drag and drop from another OPEN document ) the image into your document, then it will automatically be on a new layer in your working psd file
Does this apply to CS5.1? I'm having problems. I can't get the background to disappear...
