Erm, I think you'll find theres more members of the house lords than the house of commons and in any case the civil servants and mass media seem to have a louder voice than either, but what the hell heres my tuppenceworth - If the people can elect to have representatives, it is only reasonable to conclude that they can represent themselves. For me this isnt an issue about the war, but an issue about democracy, an ideology which seems to be getting stamped out in this new world order.
I bet most of them were from private schools. All the hippies I ever knew were toffs having a rebellious faze so as to have something to tell their grandchildren.

Why are they "the people's" assembly? At least parliament was, mostly, elected. Who appointed these hippies to represent "the people"?
