Every time I think about what happened, I remember that I have to cherish and take care of my brother, and all my family... Because I don't want to regret. The whole story of Homecoming is about regret and remorse.

Atmosphere was different And story line, everything was a bit cruel, not as sophisticated as other SHs. No such atmosphere like in first SHs. Homecomming is a good horror game, but not very good SH game. Still, I agree with other your thoughts.

Beautiful soundtrack. BUT SH Homecoming wasn`t as goog as others SHs used to be. Akira said, that his soundtrack was too good for this game. Anyway, SH will remain something beautiful and unorgetful.

@exlibrisas I thought Homecoming was just fine. I know the plot was trivial and the art style wasn't as imaginative, but the environments were gorgeous, and the voice acting was amazing. But the real reason everyone is finding more modern horror games less frightening is because of the better graphics. On the PS1 the creatures were shrouded and difficult to make-out, making them seem more mysterious and unearthly. Now we can see the monsters down to their veins. No more mystery.

Most be one of my favorite SH songs, but any song with Mary Elizabeth's vocals are just amazing. In saying that some of the instrumentals Akira composed are simply awesome...i cant get enough of the soundtracks aye. Love em to bits! :-)

PH is a symbole of remorse and self-punishement...At the start of SH2, there is only one PH, You start to see a second one from the moment james Kills Eddy (or the fat guy, if eddy isn't his name) In Homecoming, there is one following Alex from the start...But after he sees his parents and is finally free from his family's secret, PH kills Adam because now he is the one with remorse for never being there for his familly...Well that's all in my opinion lol

I like the fact you used symbol instead of metaphor, but in certain aspects he almost seems like the only real thing that brings them to deal with their sins, excluding Alex's father... He just killed him, if you ask me Pyramid Head wasn't used too well in Homecoming and seemed like it was just there to appeal to fans.

But you see two before Eddy, you can run into both of them where you can get Pyramid Head's sword.(Soo awesome, but way too slow >.>)

Pyramid Head is not James, Pyramid Head is closer related to Valtiel or whatever his name is. He only exists to torture people basically, thus why the town created someone that looked like James's wife and why Pyramid Head kills her more than once. Just remember the line where he says he needed them to punish him for his sins, and the other one where he tells Maria he doesn't need her.(exclude other endings)

no ur completely wrong pyramid head is a metaphorical prjection of james and is created in the form of an execution representing that hes there to kill him for his crimes

james is the only person who can see pyramid head

as for the boogeyman nobody is confirmed to see him but he is present when other people are unlike in sh2

Maria is killed my Pyramid Head and she see's him, Pyramid Head doesn't kill James and is not out to kill him at all, that's why he kills Maria and Maria exists along with Pyramid Head to torture him for his sins.

I am not saying I am 100% right with what I said, but Pyramid Head is more than a metaphorical projection out to "kill James", especially considering there are pictures of Pyramid Head related to the town cult as far as I know.

I don't get your last part at all about Maria being killed but, Pyramid Head has pictures in places of Silent Hill, thus he exists beyond James.

The town could be torturing James just as could Pyramid Head so on so forth, if Maria doesn't exist then why is she on a flyer in the strip club in Silent Hill 3?(the same one she was supposed to work at I'm quite sure in Silent Hill 2)

SH4 talks about James being dead, just saying there is a lot more to it than that.

Honestly there is 0 percent proof that only James see's the pictures, maybe that's your interpretation and maybe only James can see Pyramid Head, but that wouldn't explain the two Legged monsters being killed by a "projection" at all, nor the existance of the weapon and so on and so forth.

Laura see's no monsters, yet has receieved a letter from Mary after her death. Does that mean Mary was alive? Does that mean the monsters DON'T exist period?

You need to read up on Valtiel for one, because Pyramid Head is related to Valtiel in a way and both of them exist just everyone has their own SPECIFIC one in a sense.

Silent Hill endings aren't per se REAL beyond 1's best ending(or good), because 3 wouldn't make any sense without it.

And do some research on the cult, there's ALOT more to Silent Hill than you think, that's all from me

There was a book released in Japan about silent hill, mostly silent hill 2 (Book of Lost Memories, I believe it was called) that helps prove ares5566's point for one, and two: the reason she's on the flier in Silent Hill 3 is mere fan service. Maria was created out of Jame's madness, and she possibly is real, depending on the ending you get, but Silent Hill's team purposely leaves the end of that story vague when referencing in later games for viewer's sake

Whats the theory because the PH all manifest for different reasons. For this game he is a punishing demon like the 3rd for James. The other ones are mainly there because of the persons impurity of soul or because he is meant to show something in the game, like pain and suffering.
