  • if you put half a glace cherry on the top itll look like da ones u find in hk bakeries!

  • @Icemagical yea...glazed cherries :D

  • Hi there - I tried it an it was pretty and tasted good. However, I noticed that the coconut inside was not as thick as I used to have from shops. It was more like wet and not enough coconut in it. Should I put less water instead? Thanks thou. :)

  • @windyintheUK i like it to be a bit more moist...maybe you can try bake it for a lil longer or add less water...

  • Just came across your channel, looks great :) Just wondering, wouldn't these turn out a bit dry to eat on their own, is there something you recommend to serve them with? Thanks

  • Thanks DessertzHouse. I will try to make it as soon as I have all the ingredients and let you know my result... :)

  • Hi DessertHouse - I've been wondering how to make coconut tart for sometimes as it's one of my favorite dessert, so thanks for sharing. However, would you please let me know the precise method of making the coconut filling? Do I need to mix all the dry ingredients first, then eggs (one at a time). After that, pour water and milk and mix them?

  • @windyintheUK mix the coconut shreds, sugar, flour and eggs with the baking powder first. Then mix the evaporated milk and the water in. Set aside for 25min :) While you put it aside, you can actually press the pastry into the tart tins. :) Hope this can help you. :D

  • Do you know how to make a souffle cake??

  • @PaineHeaven dry coconut shreds which you can purchase from the supermarket. :)

  • @DessertzHouse and also, what if i don't have baking powder or soda can i just not use it for the filling?

  • just tried this recipe few days ago.personally i've never tried coconut tart before but wow i just fell in love with it.So rich and yummy.the taste just hits right in ur mouth on the first bite itself. And i think adding coconut milk instead of normal milk definately gives a more coconutty flavour. Thanks alot for this recipe

  • the filling also needs refrigeration so can i make the filling first then make the pastry while the filling is being chilled?

  • @tanyachow2009

hey, yeah i did the same thing.did the filling first then carried on with the pastry.by the time the pastry is chilled for 20 mins the filling can be taken out of the fridge
