I think you should just get them coiled and see for yourself how they turn out; after all, dreads are a trial and error type thing, so you'd have to just go through it and you'll gradually learn more about them as they grow and progress.

You'd have to get the coil twist. Can't wash them for a certain amount of time. Keep twisting them. I used to have earl baby locs. My hair wouldn't take as well. but if you have patience, all is well.

yeah your coils are going to be pretty short to start with and note that when you start them they mey frizz up and become loose but that just part of the process. it may take longer or shorter time to lock up, im in my three month stage and some feel lock but some are not.see that just depends on whatever your hair texture is so don,t get discouraged.

everybody has different hair for some it takes about 3 months for you to see/feel ur hair locking and for other's they dont see results for a year.patience is the key and you'll never know until you try so go for it!

1. take some hair, twist i with ur fingers and pull down...then u'll have an idea of how long the are but keep in mind they will look shorter.

2. depending on the texture 1-6 months. the softer the longer it takes.

3. our hair grows in coils so it seems longer than it really is. diet, and maintance play major roles. drink plenty of water and keep ur locs clean!

first-your locs would be the length of your fro but a tad bit shorter cuz they curl so u won't see the full length.

second-everyone's hair is different. what may take others 3 months to lock up may take you 6 months. some ppls hair don't even finish locking until the end of the first year. so anywhere from 3-12 months (or more sometimes)

third- as far as how fast it will grow that's all up to you. if u take care of hair right, diet right, maintain it properly it'll grow fast if not then slow

your coils would be about 2/3 as long as your fro cause the hair instead of just being straight it has to loop around and around making the dreads look shorter than they really are
