i have an empty greenhouse. should i start learning to grow a garden in it? or should i begin out in the field? i have lots of land. should i grow like herbs inside and veggies out??

Well, it all depends. I've heard Bob say he used his green house for orchids. Malcolm Beck grew tomatoes in his w/ a cedar mulch floor. Others use it for storage or to start seedlings to get a jump start on a season or to extend the growing season. Figure out what you wanna do and go from there. I also know Bob advocates herbs in the landscape since many look very pleasant & decorative. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

do you water with city water, rain water, or pond water??

Personally, I use city water. However, I do have a "poor man's" rain water collector and will use that, too. Rain water is best- check out some of the rain water catchment / collecting videos I've posted if you're interested in starting a system.
