@zeebeemama Depends. If you get one with a bad banner, you will recieve a banner brick, or if you install it with the wrong IOS, then you will get a full brick. So, get bootmii/preloader if installing via WAD manager

my cousin figured out a way to hack his wii, he uses a sd card to add the stuff onto his computer and well, i don't know how to do it but he says just don't update your wii or it will erase the stuff you got via the hack

Yeah, you need v3.3 or lower. Otherwise, you can't hack. If you update, it'll remove many custom channels and stop many Homebrew apps from loading. I had v3.3 when I installed the Twilight Hack (Google it) then I downgraded using the cIOS Downgrader (Google again) to get back down to v3.2. Many hackers make files to install that updates all the important stuff without disabling any Homebrew (hacking) things.

I have V.3.2 but when I load homebrew and go to Gecko OS it gives me a blank screen. The gecko thing at the bottom left and "Gecko OS" at the top... What did I do wrong?

Keep trying to load it. You may have a certain version of GeckoOS that requires USBGecko.

Strange as it may sound, but that happens when I have a Memory Card in the Gamecube Memory Slot. Remove the cards and the program will work like normal.

did you pay for all this, or is everything/a lot of it installed via wad manager? I've been searching for certain n64 games in the shop channel, but they're not there. And I know how to install a custom wad, I just don't know the risk with getting detected by nintendo and all. is it big?

All channels were legitimately downloaded besides the Backup Channel and Super Smash Bros. Also, you won't be "contacted" or "detected" by Nintendo for installing *custom* WADs. But they will if you download a game that is on the Virtual Console via torrents from their network.

If you install 4 custom & injected WADs, there's no doubt you'll take up space. SSB is about 200 blocks. You're downloading a whole ROM to your Wii with customs.

It wasn't. It's called a "Custom WAD". You can only install it by hacking.
