your not gonna put them bench seat frames back in??? Do you think it's wise for me to put in reflective foam insulation into the areas I expose??? -Chris-
I would do that yes... Foam insulation can't hurt anything that is for sure.
On the bench seat frames YES.. Now they are getting refinished and put back in because the guy who was going to build the new ones kinda got busy... So I'm rebuilding these and they will look like new when finished...
If you ever expose the framing from the outside by taking off the skin you will want to put a new vapor barrier as the last overlay before the skin goes back on.
No I purchased these seats and will have them recovered using the traditional two toned V color scheme. I have one of the original seats and it is tattered beyond saving but I can see the pattern.
Actually, there is quite a bit of asbestos in these old trailers. I remove all of it. The flooring material in those days were asbestos. There is a thick piece of asbestos insulating the oven where it sits. There was even some asbestos in the lights for heat insulation. All of this get's removed and replaced with lead.. LOL just kidding. I replace it all with more environment healthy materials.
What the fuck?! That's DANGEROUS! You shouldn't be anywhere near that stuff, should you? They call in hazmat handlers to take care of that stuff -- are you taking any precautions.
When we volunteers come across biological hazards and stuff, we stay far the hell away from it and we call in the people with the right tools and technology to clean it up. We don't mess with things THAT CAN KILL US!
I have been breathing that stuff for my whole adult life. Yes it is some dangerous stuff but we all gotta die from something I suppose.
You know. Some day there will be a lot of health freaks sitting around in the hospitals dying of nothing and they are all going to feel pretty stupid. :)
i LOVE your videos. Good work!
