Every notice how American foreign policy is like that from 1984? We are constantly at war but with whom changes constantly and our former allies become our enemies and we act like they have always been that way.
American endorsement of Saddam’s War of Aggression does not make it lawful or justifiable, nor is it an extenuating circumstance for subsequent Iraqi Baath capital crimes.
It wouldn't take much of an investigation to reveal that State Department mafia and SHRUB crime family moles are //accomplices// to Saddam’s War of Aggression, and may certainly be held accountable.
RON PAUL, WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER! TELL AMERICAN PEOPLE HOW EXACTLY RU GOING TO CREATE JOBS? OK LETS SAY ALL TROOPS CAME BACK AND THEN WHAT? THEY ARE GOING TO SELL IPHONES AND BLACKBERRIES? DUDE BE A MEN, HOW RU GOING TO CREATE JOBS? POPULATION OF CHINA IS 1.4 B CHINESE WORK LIKE ROBOTS, BE HONEST TELL AMERICAN PEOPLE TO BUY UR BOOK U NEED CASH , U LOVE POWER, U LOVE CASH, U WILL NEVER CREATE JOBS, U HAVE NO ANSWER!
We give foreign aid to countries that we later illegally attack or are occupied with expensive bombs and then we spend money rebuilding where we dropped bombs in the first place. All bought and paid for by American tax payers! Now I know why we have no jobs, no food, no medicine, no money and NO FRIENDS! What a great plan...time for President RON PAUL 2012 or vote for an AIPAC employee and see what happens!
Protect boarders? I committed libertarian should, for consistency's sake, support open borders.
I'm not going to argue about whether or not libertarians, republicans, tea party-boys, or any other party are better. They pretty much all suck.
But we live in a 2 party country. Not saying the 2 party system is better or worse but that this is a bare fact of reality you cannot deny. A Vote for Ron Paul is a Throw Away Vote. You KNOW he will not win. It is a WASTE. He has NO CHANCE.
@ptarleton When you say things will never change you are automatically correct. People DEMAND real change and know that the mainstream candidates no longer differ. Bush/Obama= More debt, more war, less liberty.
@Altasshrug Bush and Obama are hardly ripe for comparison. Obama is not a savior but he does not deserve to be compared to one of the worst presidents of all time.
Even if Ron Paul did have a chance to win I wouldn't vote for him. Excessive freedom destroys a society. There are too many people in the US for us to be the idealized nation of farmers Jefferson thought we would be. We owe things to our fellow citizens like education, healthcare, food, and shelter - even if it means high taxes.
@ptarleton Actions speak louder than words. Obama is just better at hiding the same agenda than Bush was. You don't owe me anything and likewise I do not owe you anything. If I chose to help people in need I do so on my own accord not because the government tells me to. It is my right to chose who I want to help. besides it is not even efficient. The government takes a dollar from me then due to their "adminstrative" expenses only 50 cents goes to actually "helping" people. Total farse! RP 12!
@Altasshrug A government's past failure to deliver on what morality demands does not remove them from those demands.
I do owe something to you and any other human just by virtue of respect. If I saw you drowning I would be obligated to help you. Libertarians might tell a story of how you came to be drowning, and claim that as long as there's a story of the past to explain your situation everything is ok. This is amoral.
@ptarleton If you were drowning I would help you because I wanted to not becasue the government made a law requiring it. The fact is that the federal tax was not implemented to help people it was implemented to fund the US involvement in WW1. A war that was pushed by bankers due to their significant investment in Great Britain at the time. The federal income tax aided by the federal reserve and the military industrial complex promote war and death. Who is the only person that talks about this?
@Altasshrug Well right there I think it's obvious that there was good cause to fight WW1 besides economic reasons. It was a highly destructive war that needed to end. The "lost generation" is used to refer to the significant population drop in Europe because the war was so destructive. I don't care if Federal Taxes where created for amoral reasons. That might be true but it doesn't mean it can't be used to help people.
@ptarleton Ron Paul! I guarantee that a population less burdoned by taxes will be in a better position to help many more Americans than any inefficient government ran program. “A government big enough to supply you with everything you need is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.... The course of history shows that as the government grows, liberty decreases.”
@Altasshrug The world has changed since the 18th century. I would much rather live in a socialist state like France or Germany than live in a state of Anarchy like the Sudan. Government isn't inherently bloated and inefficient. The reason the government has reached this sorry state is from a complete lack of regulation - a lack of laws to prevent special interests and corporations from polluting the democratic system.
@ptarleton I don't agree with a socialist state the allocation of the means of production belong to the free market not the government. The world has changed but the principles remain the same. I do however, agree with you in large part that our government and business are destoying this country. But don't mistake this as Capitalism this is Corporatism. This is yet another topic that only Ron Paul and a select few have been discussing. See you like Ron Paul and don't even realize it!
@Altasshrug I like some of what Ron Paul likes because neither of us are crooked, horrible people. And I don't think the means of production should be owned by the government - that would just be communism. But I'm not above paying a large amount of taxes. Both Dems and Reps are socialists. One just wants to put all the money into social services while the other into the military. If Ron ran against Hillary and Trump I would vote for him. But that gold standard stuff is a bit silly.
@ptarleton The gold standard is silly? So I guess our founding fathers were silly? The first 150 years our country was in existence we had a gold standard. You must HAVE a standard, there's no argument there, it's a fact. WHAT the standard is I suppose is debateable, but if not gold, then what? Water? Beans? You can't just make some paper and proclaim it worth something. I'm glad your a supporter though :)
@delanogaston The current standard is debt. This sounds off putting at first but there is nothing wrong with it. Much of a country's dollar value is based off (1) It's value in comparison to other currencies in money markets (2) How likely it is that a country will pay pack its debts. And the amount of money the U.S. has is much greater than the amount of gold in the world. If we switched then we would have to make gold absurdly valuable. Countries using the golds standard have US Cash as backup
@ptarleton I think your confusin treasury bills and our fiscal "rating" with the worth of a dollar. That's just not how it works. "And the amount of money the U.S. has is much greater than the amount of gold in the world..." Ummmm, huh? We are in the red bro. We OWE trilions of dollars. So we are already negative gold! lol All I ask is that you read or watch a few vids that will explain to you how our Federal Reserve works. It's absolutely insane, and not subect to laws.
@delanogaston Our government is in the red. Our country is not. All the worth of our citizens and especially all the worth of our corporations is greater than even our gov's enormous debt.
