The TX4 Taxi is not a British icon. The Fairway Taxi is an icon but is no longer made. To be an icon something has to have been around more than 2 years. I had to pay £36,000 for a TX4 in London that spends more time in the workshop than I would like.
The hat is more reliable than the cab but i'd lay money that it leaks when it rains just like the cab boot,roof light or radiator
