The Lord used steven and family to encourage us to adopt a little girl (i wasn't keen at first) - it took us 2 years for the Lord to bring the right child to us - but now 6 months later the Lord has really blessed us - thank you chapmans for your ministry

This song is simultaneously beautiful and tragic, much like life itself. I havent heard the studio version yet; only acoustic, live versions. Ill probably prefer the live versions for their grit. We all want our kids to grow up and leave us, but it must be gut wrenching to let them go. I try to spend as much time as I can with my two girls, because I know they will be gone before I know it, and Ill be waiting for the phone to ring.

Besides, none of us have the right to critisize others' personal choices. Everything happens for a reason. Find any information about the Chapman family from this summer and find out yourself what they believe was the reason Maria came into their lives and why hers was tragically cut short.

chapman is a Christian artist, but i would say this is a regular song. not 'christian' per say. just a great song with a great point!

it is a reminder to be thankful for every blessing you have in life. this song is along the same lines as his song "miracle of the moment". you should check it out if you haven't already.

Where did it say that he was only happy after adopting for the 3rd time? I've listened to Steven Curtis Chapman's music for years and have never heard that message. Besides, none of us have the right to critisize others' personal choices. Everything happens for a reason. Find any information about the Chapman family from this summer and find out yourself what they believe was the reason Maria came into their lives and why hers was tragically cut short.

Steve, I have listened to your work growing up and have always liked it so much. Just like most other people who have a daughter and want the special father daughter dance at her wedding, I wanted that song too. It was just so special to me. I have a little one and half year old. And now I have found the song that I want for sure, to play for our dance. I willing be so proud to play it. It has touched so many lives and will continue too! God Bless, Tyler Brown

Okay that's not fair. My wife just sent this to me at work and I damn near started balling as I listened to it, thinking about my baby girls (2 1/2 and 1 month). It makes me never want to have those excuses where I'm just "too tired" or "too busy." I'll always be there to dance with my Cinderellas. Awesome song!

Technically its not a christian song... its a song whose singer/songwriter is a christian artist... not the same.
