i have noticed how buddhism correlates a lot to these new, well relatively new theories of quantum mechanics. mainly how we do not know the true nature of reality, we merely perceive everything. be it electrical signals from the eye to the brain, or the sense of touch from out skin to our brain, it is only ever a perception. consciousness is a great factor in buddhism too, i was a firm atheist for years and dismissed religions.

simply, when life first appeared it was microscopic, we are just the product of this microorganisms evolution, luckily we grew to realize out appendages are important for grabbing, lifting, moving quickly and reproducing,hearing,smelling,s­eeing,blocking dust from our eyes, keeping us warm. It lets our conscious move in a physical world. As much as this quantum physics is saying, the moment we became tangible creatures (microorganisms) this stuff becomes irrelevant. we live in the physical now
