There are some problems with your reasoning.
Wages mean nothing if you do not compare them to prices of goods and services. A company that is able to achieve a higher output of good per input of cost(cost in terms of time/land/money... and in this case labor from illegals) will be able to charge a lower price. Competitive pressures will then tend to lower the price of similar goods. Consumers and businesses benefit.
And to hold that wage earners and biz are in conflict is, well, pretty Marxist.

Under your theory prices would have gone down and corporate profits would have increased gradually.

The word amnesty is inconsistently being used to appeal to the emotions and prejudices of the public. Amnesty is a pardon granted by the government. A pardon means a release from penalty for an offense.
