  • I was playing this on the stereo at home, but my mum made me turn it off because she found it depressing. She prefers happy music like Joy Division.

  • @Hamgammy And you wonder why you don't have any friends..

  • i was sunbathing in a hot summer day at the beach. lying on the sand, closing my eyes, listening to this song, opening my eyes, closing again, swimming, getting dry and listening to this tune again. was fun. however sad this song is, i have good memories with it.

  • @radiostarsareback who gives a fuck? no one cares about your faggoty anecdote. Shut the fuck up fagtard and enjoy the music.

  • One of the best song i've ever heard. One of the best video i've ever seen. Where have I been until now?

  • Love Low.

  • This song came in my ear pussy.

  • so still, so... powerfull... so...moving

  • put my soul at rest and lay my down in the arms of the one i love. just hold me tight and lets just listen to the sound of low!

  • This is awesome.

  • These guys don't like being called "Slow Core" but jesus they really are. Not a bad thing, they just go slow.

  • This makes me melt.

  • I wish music was this good nowadays.

  • @domenos18 it is, you just have to find it you fucking idiot,

  • this is just great! thank you for upload!

  • He is so sexy

  • okay, usually i'm into all the dubstep and fast paced dnb, but this song is so so amazing and beautiful!

  • Sounds like Joy Division's slower stuff (I Remember Nothing, 24 Hours), with a hint of 60's psychedelia in the reverb and harmonies.

  • At a total loss for words every time I hit play on this track. I've had to of listened to it at least a million time over the past hour.

  • Wish I could find a live video of this song.

  • Just broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years. Im 20 and she was my whole life. I skipped lawschool for us to be together in Stockholm, i worked to get her happy, i cooked for her not to be hungry, i gave her my heart...

Right now, this song is saving my life..

  • @bubble244 Sorry to hear that. A new chapter of your life opens. Embrace it.

Check out their other stuff. It's all great. I'm a massive fan.

Work at something you want to do. It's the only way you'll ever feel good about yourself.

Cook for yourself to make you and your friends and family happy.

Your heart's still there. Just a bit battered.

Pick up a guitar and make some art.

Enjoy all that life has to offer!

  • @bubble244 its always going to be okay. theres never an end. listen to Mazzy Star. . .

  • this album and this song are perfect.

  • About 2 am. Laying in my bed. Listening to this with closed eyes. Better than sleep...

  • @Stranger9cv98 love your comment man

  • @ObombOA Thank you

  • its so pretty

  • how am i supposed to headbang to this?

  • There are a few songs I can remember My First Listen of. One is this. The way a weight dropped from my stomach now feeling that this strange, deranged pain I'd lived inside of wasn't individual and isolated from the outer world. It was early morning and I would go to sleep a few hours later and truly wake up changed.

  • Check the Red Red Meat cover of this song.......AWESOME

  • This song is so good. Everyone feels this way in their souls, like the music expresses. Some are just afraid of admit it

  • Alan and Mimi's harmonizing in this song is simply haunting!!

  • this song reminds me of being eighteen/in hell for a whole year

  • that must have been one crazy year

  • @breeeegs lol yeah man it was. thank goodness things get better as you age (for the most part) :)

  • I hope you're right. I feel pretty lonely now

  • I fucking hate parties

  • How do you know they get better, maybe they get worse

  • @breeeegs you're right, things might get worse... it just depends on how you react to those bad situations. you can construct your own reality

  • i agree with the first part, but if you try to construct your own reality, you might end up in the psych ward of a hospital

  • Frankly this is way more punk rock than a lot of punk rock

  • Great song! But why the hell they don't make a re-release of their debut CD?

  • i listen to this song when i feel lost

  • i saw this band live in a venue with no seats...

  • one of the saddest songs i know.

  • Three inches above the floor... Man in the box wants to burn my soul...

  • @1970cdc I want to visit just because they are there!!

  • this song helps a lot in terms of healing the wounds of the soul, after crying like a baby and screeming with rage and anger, then, when you do that, your gonna feel a big sense of relieve and calm, this is why i hear it, everytime i feel depresssed

  • This is the best example of how music should be , you can play VIRTUOSO stuff but if you dont have feeling , STEP ASIDE ... this is one of the most under rated bands i have ever heard , they are real !!! DAMN , cheers from México city , VIVA LOW !

  • Isn't this what music is all about? Amazing melodies, emotion, and overall great songwriting..

  • @rdccdr801 no not at all music means freedom in expression to me.

No melodies or music theory needed as long it has passion.

  • 1.) wake up. 2.)realize it's raining outside. 3.) listen to all of I Could Live in Hope and Sunny Day Real Estate's Diary. 4.) smoke weed. 5.) realize you're too old to be doing it and that the nineties happened a lot longer than you think 6.) repeat all steps the next gloomy day or after a breakup

  • well spoken sir!!!

  • @eatamymeata feeling the same nostalgia, a 36 year old proud Athenian..

  • @eatamymeata (or too young)

  • @eatamymeata Get Real. I hope you have! 90's were good for us kids but if you don't grow up, your a pain in the 10's. Do something!

  • I may re-quote this somewhere. I hope you don't mind, but I won't claim it's mine.

  • @eatamymeata I live in England, I do everything you just said everyday.

  • about 1995, driving around Chicago listening to this over and over. Lovely.

  • Well.....Uhm....I'll shut up. No words do justice to this song.

  • Youtube plz bring back the thumbs up & thumbs down option!! These silly green thumbs-up-only are lame!

(One of my fave songs btw.... I really like his intense gaze at us whilst singing!)

  • Beautiful

  • three inches above the floor man in a box wants to burn my soul and I'm tired, and I'm tired. is that the truth he says the pain is easy too many words, too many words and I can hear 'em if you're hearing screams come back child, come back my hands are dry but I know they're gonna make it just one more night too many words, too many words

  • @zekesteronimyster to you you ignorant asshole, to us, its beautiful music

  • i'm dying and getting reborn still and atill after listening to this song

  • Trippin on this tune. Low indeed.

  • amazing

  • Divinement mélancolique... le souvenir diffus d'instants intenses à peine attrapés au vol...

Il reste encore trop de mots a glisser dans cette parenthèse avant de la refermer...

  • minimalism

  • one of the most beautyful sonx i´ve ever heard!!

"man in the box wants to burn my soul" - what an exelent description of tv....

    mmmmmmm

    love U 4ever(:

    Lna*

  • i saw them in 08. best to low. love their music

  • There are no words to describe how great this song is.

  • @Spaceisneat That's what I love about this entire album. It's really understated, less isn't always more but in Low's case it definitely works :)

  • @Spaceisneat i think it would be; "haba baba"

  • aww this music is just chill its even chiller than chill....theres no words to explain but just the feeling =)

  • This song is perfect. I keep coming back to it. You can say so much with just a few perfect words.

  • I spent a month in helsinki and I dont know if i could take hearing Low in Finland...part of me thinks it would be most beautiful, part of me would jump off a bridge, just kidding...but low is very beautiful Finland, kiitos and cheers

  • darkcore

  • slowcore, thats what it was called.

  • I thought it was shoegaze. But, a rose by any other name etc.

    This song is gorgeous.

  • shoegaze: my bloody valentine, slowdive, lush...ect...

  • Ah, my bad, I always get em confused.

So where's post rock come into this?

  • post-rock is such a broad term, i have trouble believing in it... late 60's early 70's prog rock could be called post rock. as could be punk, or post punk/no-wave. paul mcartney's band, WINGS' album 'RAM' could be called post rock...

so...yeah, no real def... i say everthing after chuck berry is post-rock...or a hyphenated-form of rock.

  • slowcore? actually there s no gender for this music Low did in this time, it is just unique and beautiful, slow, sad and wonderful...

  • Like I said, "a rose by any other name..." :)

Genres don't really matter, but they help, sometimes.

  • @mhofkp this isnt shoegaze, they even referred to their music as "pillow core"

  • @mhofkp Nope, we didn't have these ridculous genre's in the days of Low. Kids.

  • I love this band so much but I can't find any records of them in the netherlands and that sucks pretty bad!!!

  • this song actually first appeared on Low's debut album, I Could Live In Hope.

    thanks for posting!

  • It makes me very warm inside listening to this. It envelops my heart and stirs the soul. Gorgeous

  • i still have the demo cassette i rec'd this on...this band has released nothing but perfection...

  • my whore of an ex-girlfriend got me into low. that's about the only thing I've ever been thankful towards her for.

  • ouch!!!!!

  • you got 36 thumbs up already in 3 months! It is very rare that a comment receives all these thumbs up!! Congratulations! I gave you a thumb up too!

  • thanks! hahahaha

  • Haha...did she actually say "check out Low, they're great", or did you turn to them because of the misery she caused?

  • @danielcm81

ahahhahah, genius! :D u deserve a big kiss from a cute girl ;)

  • @missthemaggit astral kiss accepted. haha.

  • @danielcm81

and i got my ex-girlfriend into Low with that particular song, and that's actually how our love started. and I'm very thankful to her, because she's really change my life for the better.

  • I love Low <3

  • There are no words to describe this...

  • this was my only refuge in that small apartment that hold dark and pain secerets, the moments when it beat me down so bad that I never left the bed in those moments I cherished these very words

  • After 5 years I FINALY found this song :)))

I heard it when I was 15 in a tv show called "Pasadena" and I thought it's the most beautiful song ever. So haunting.....
