@1nikomi It doesn't matter what club you've been in or for how many, everyone learns at a different pace and some are better than others. my twin and i can break a horse, have it standing alone, riding the proper leads and moving off of the front and hind quarters in 15 days. We've been working horses 13 years now and i know it isn't that long but we know a lot. My mother has seen us threw it all and even though i've shown her how to saddle a horse every time, she still forgets.
i have had my shares or nasty falls, some of them were soo bad that i refused to jump for weeks on end. But then i got put on this new gelding that arrived at our barn and he made me love jumping again.
that was a great video, i hate all those people that say horse riding is easy it isn't.
You have to worry about everything while your riding, how the horse will react to certain things, if you fall are you going to get hurt, is the horse hurt?? Everything!!!

OMG I RIDE AT THAT COVERED ARENA!!!!! I do horse shows there in the summer, i have some footage of that arena in my videos. I know my horse used to act like an idiot in that arena, i couldn't show him for three years because he was such an idiot in there. Ha ha , well ridden.
Sorry to hear of Bravo's unfortunate death. Just wondering...was he always just an ornery cuss or did he maybe have an issue with his back that he misbehaved that way? Saddle pinching or something? Just a thought.. :)
i cant see why people have a problem with this video, they know there horses better than anyone else, they may be trying to help them improve. because i bet some of you could never sit on a horse like that. Hope you were okay, loved the landing (in a nice way) and horses can catch you out sometimes so just deal with it people. Much love ;) x

omg, this morning i took my pony bobbin out. bobbin is a piebald cob and i took her into my jump field and theres a sandy bit in the cornor bobbin decided she wanted to have a roll and i had to do an emergency dismount but bobbin is very sturdy and large and it took me ages luckily my jump field is massive so it was ok but my heart was pounding!!!!!

@thecoolcowgirl Dont get me strted on how annoying it is when their galloping around the school, and when you finally catch them and try to mount, they roll! But i have to admit, it is cute to watch.
Just some advice! Dont throw your self before a fence. Horses should not gallop in the snow unless he has a on traction shoes, even then i would not advice it. And learn how to find better distances with lower jump with out an in and out so you and your honest horse do not get hurt! Not trying to be mean.. just honest I loved the bay that you or whoever was jumping. Saved who's ever butt many times and took the full brunt of it!

Bravo likes snow but...is that a whip you were using? I don't think Bravo likes the whip. The horse that "tried to leave you in the air" was simply excited :) Was that Bravo again or a different horse? Your horses need practice with jumping. They don't look ready for it at all. Ya'll are a very active bunch and that's great, but try spending quality time with the horses without the tack or work. Go bareback and take them swimming! :) Just some friendly advice.

well i think you are a good rider and those same things have happened to me so u go girl and i telll u tht i have been riding for about7 years and you always have one or aa few weeks of tht it not nice but its kinda worth it because it makes you more balanced in the body good for sticking on.

i love watching jumping falls i was doing bounces with my youngster and im a nervouse jumper so i took my leg off ever so slightly half way down and he put the breaks on and kindly let me do the rest first

So I Got On Bare Back And My Sister Started Leadin Me, Well There Was A Bon-Fire Next Door And She Spooked And Bucked.. I Rode The First Like A Pro.. He's just having some fun. I think his rider is fantastic most would have said that's it get rid of him. OMG I have five neddies and if you see they way they act at times they should all go to the meat man. Tyson was terrible. He was not abused. He was 6 when I got him from BLM a six year old Mustang stallion. Took me three years to calm his butt down. He still has off days 11 years later lol. It's so easy to judge a rider and say all kinds of bad things. Look at the big pic. Hats off sis!!

We've ALL been there and done that. Part of riding. No pain, no gain. Horses are like children...they are impish and expressive just as humans are. I really enjoyed this...brought back some fond memories..of landing in the mud and some bruised pride. :-)
one time i was riding my horse mac(hes 17 hands)and this stupid girl cam running in the arena and did NOT say door and mac got spooked he ran away from the door sideways but i was leaning the other way and my foot got stuck in the stirrup,my trainer said i looked like an earring off the side of my horse(by the way im only 11 years old
I thought the riding was not bad, till it came to the jumping. If this is when you were much younger you have probably learned what I saw. The chestnut, needed to be sat back on, driven strongly from the seat and leg, he would have jumped those fences. The bay is a saint, he was not being ridden from the seat, shoved at the fence and the rider was always up on his neck at least 2 strides before take off and he still tried. I think the fences were just a bit too large for the rider ability.
life flasing before my eyes?...yup. the jump went perfect it was afterwards where it all went hay wire. I lost my balance after the jump and my horse took of with me clinging to his side. My face was litereally next to his legs and all i could see was his hooves flashing infront of my eyes. All i knew was i was about to go down infront of those hooves. scariest moment of my life. as expected i hit the ground hard (it was a big horse) but luckily he chose to jump over me instead of step on me.
I know how you fell i was riding my horse one day and a saw my life flash before when we came up to a 3 foot jump and i am very young but i ignored it and then wehen i jumped over the jump my horse fell i was still on her and she started rolling and sliding on the gound but i did have to go to the hospital and had a broken leg. But i never give up riding.
hahaha omg I almost died when he started rolling and then got up and was just like, "HA HA BYE" pffft horses are so funny. . .they can be just like hairy two-year-olds half the time. xD
I must say, Marissa(the one filming for a college) caught her self very nicely. I'd like to point out-every horse has their off moments. My dead-assbroke western pleasure gelding will occasionly have a "Ohh let's try..THIS!!!" moment. I personally don't ride in snow anymore(horse slipped on some ice underneath and fell on my knee-was outa riding for a while) Every horse from baby-world champion show horse will have moments like these. Handled decently. Knowledge comes with expierence. :)
I have bad days when I ride too, trust me :) But I am Parelli trained so it's a little more complicated :P Interesting clips. I think the one that made me laugh was the first clip because that has almost happened to me a few times XD
most of that refusals hapened because you didnt meassure your distance and the horse didnt correct it nothing that canot be corrected with right trainning good look lady
Love how the last failed jump kinda goes right with the music. We have all had our bad days. My horse Wildfire has dragged me through a field once or twice and my moms mare just kicked me in the knee so now I'm on crutches for the next two weeks. BUT that feeling you get when everything goes right and its just you and your horse, well nothing can top that. No matter how much you fall! :)
LOL that horse Bravo is so cute sorry to hear that he died! Colic is a horrible disease! I hope no one got hurt! A horse called Fudge at my riding school is like that! My friend wa riding him on day and he started to rear he reared non stop for 2 minutes because these children that live across the road from my riding school were on a trampoline and they started to scream i felt so sorry for her! BTW all tose horses in ur video r so cute

I like to think of it as if you land on your feet you don't technically fall off ;) it's happened to me at my past 2 horse shows. my horse does the land a jump, spin, and then buck. but i always do backflips off of him and land on my feet with no intentions of doing it. lol. maybe i should become a gymnist...

well i think you are a good rider and those same things have happened to me so u go girl and i telll u tht i have been riding for about7 years and you always have one or aa few weeks of tht it not nice but its kinda worth it because it makes you more balanced in the body good for sticking on.

Aha Yes I've Had My Life Flash Before My Eyes... Me And My Sister Were Training One Of Our 2 Year Old Filly's And She Was Doing Great, And I Didn't Feel Like Tacken Up Because We Were Just At The Barn To Feed.. So I Got On Bare Back And My Sister Started Leadin Me, Well There Was A Bon-Fire Next Door And She Spooked And Bucked.. I Rode The First Like A Pro.. But She Put Some Turbo In The Second Lol And I Almost Went Flying Into A BIG Pile Of Sticks.. But I Ended Up Breaking My Collar Bone.. xD

My horse rolled on top of me when i was in a river and after that i had a trainer come out and show me how its done lol

lol at @2:36 that happend to mee but it was bigger it was about 1m25 and there were 5 in a line i jumped 4 the last one she went nahh jumped it but then stop and i was like tf and i was sat of the sadle on her neck galloping around the arena lol i stayed on tho :) lol that was just the warm up i got up to jumping 1m35 that night

He's just having some fun. I think his rider is fantastic most would have said that's it get rid of him. OMG I have five neddies and if you see they way they act at times they should all go to the meat man. Tyson was terrible. He was not abused. He was 6 when I got him from BLM a six year old Mustang stallion. Took me three years to calm his butt down. He still has off days 11 years later lol. It's so easy to judge a rider and say all kinds of bad things. Look at the big pic. Hats off sis!!

We've ALL been there and done that. Part of riding. No pain, no gain. Horses are like children...they are impish and expressive just as humans are. I really enjoyed this...brought back some fond memories..of landing in the mud and some bruised pride. :-)

one time i was riding my horse mac(hes 17 hands)and this stupid girl cam running in the arena and did NOT say door and mac got spooked he ran away from the door sideways but i was leaning the other way and my foot got stuck in the stirrup,my trainer said i looked like an earring off the side of my horse(by the way im only 11 years old

I thought the riding was not bad, till it came to the jumping. If this is when you were much younger you have probably learned what I saw. The chestnut, needed to be sat back on, driven strongly from the seat and leg, he would have jumped those fences. The bay is a saint, he was not being ridden from the seat, shoved at the fence and the rider was always up on his neck at least 2 strides before take off and he still tried. I think the fences were just a bit too large for the rider ability.

life flasing before my eyes?...yup. the jump went perfect it was afterwards where it all went hay wire. I lost my balance after the jump and my horse took of with me clinging to his side. My face was litereally next to his legs and all i could see was his hooves flashing infront of my eyes. All i knew was i was about to go down infront of those hooves. scariest moment of my life. as expected i hit the ground hard (it was a big horse) but luckily he chose to jump over me instead of step on me.

I know how you fell i was riding my horse one day and a saw my life flash before when we came up to a 3 foot jump and i am very young but i ignored it and then wehen i jumped over the jump my horse fell i was still on her and she started rolling and sliding on the gound but i did have to go to the hospital and had a broken leg. But i never give up riding.

I must say, Marissa(the one filming for a college) caught her self very nicely. I'd like to point out-every horse has their off moments. My dead-assbroke western pleasure gelding will occasionly have a "Ohh let's try..THIS!!!" moment. I personally don't ride in snow anymore(horse slipped on some ice underneath and fell on my knee-was outa riding for a while) Every horse from baby-world champion show horse will have moments like these. Handled decently. Knowledge comes with expierence. :)

Love how the last failed jump kinda goes right with the music. We have all had our bad days. My horse Wildfire has dragged me through a field once or twice and my moms mare just kicked me in the knee so now I'm on crutches for the next two weeks. BUT that feeling you get when everything goes right and its just you and your horse, well nothing can top that. No matter how much you fall! :)

My friend wa riding him on day and he started to rear he reared non stop for 2 minutes because these children that live across the road from my riding school were on a trampoline and they started to scream i felt so sorry for her! I like to think of it as if you land on your feet you don't technically fall off ;) it's happened to me at my past 2 horse shows. my horse does the land a jump, spin, and then buck. but i always do backflips off of him and land on my feet with no intentions of doing it. lol. maybe i should become a gymnist...
