Well naturally you've got a ratchet/clutch in the middle of that thing that only turns the output shaft in one direction from two opposite turning shafts. How is that so revolutionary? And why do you think wave power generation needs constant rotation? It actually doesn't.
New? I think nostradamus used one as a childs plaything the day he dreamed of nazi tanks and world wars. but in all seriousness, does anyone see the amount of energy spent in creating energy? its about as effecient and hooking a tradmill up to a cd player's disk rotator motor to create energy. heres and idea, turn the oceans into a world wide saltwater batter! three hundred sextillion volts anyone?
Let me guess. The right gear has one way locking bearings & the left gear locks in the other way.A shaft runs all the way from left to right but not up & down.Looks like a car diff centre. The bottom gear turns free.
The problem is that the wave generators are usually custom-made and therefore expensive to produce. This makes the Pay-off period very long. With this technique, the standard generators used, thus keeping costs low.
@planktonfun1 Yes but if you resize the cogs get the opposite effect, it is faster than the engine. This is designed to be slow, eg in a vertical wind turbine.

This is nothing new. Look into MBT textbook,,,,

one bendix per axis. its cleaver, can be made cheaply but its not a revolutionary idea I guess.

who would actually like to add some losses to their generators?

it works, but it reduces rotation speed on the output

i don't know if it is a new invention, but i can definitely see how this could be used to generate power.

the irony is.... generators can generate electricity no matter which direction they're rotating. so this is pretty neato, but nothing special...
AND YOU MISSPELLED "WANT," YOU JACKASS
