I lived in Pass Christian during Katrina, and could not evacuate due to no gas. We lived about half a mile from the beach and had waist deep water up on our 2nd floor of our house. The storm surge where I lived was 28ft. We lost everything but our lives and the clothes on our back, I thank God today and everyday that we are alive. I know several people who rode out the storm on their roofs and on their walls when their houses fell apart. It was very sad.
I FUCKING HATE THAT HURRICANE KATRINA HIT.... IT BREAK'S MY HEART LORD.... I JUST WON'T TO SAY THANK YOU LORD THAT IM STILL ALIVE THANK YOU LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM JUST SETTING HERE CRYING OUT.....OH LORD THEM PEOPLE LORD...I HOPE THERE ANGEL'S IN HAVEN THAT'S ALL YOU NEEDED WAS ANGEL'S LORD....IT'S OK!
My sister lives in Hattiesburg, and even as late as last summer, the damage is still evident even that far north...We could not find them for almost one week,I am in Texas and it was horrible!! They went thru so much-God bless them all.I was born there, beautiful state...
i was down there in march i spent a week there and i gave some of the people my food and water... i also worked on a house on lee st i believe it was 501 lee st the beach was right down the road from me
I was down in Mississippi in Apr. 18th to the 25th and I prayed for all those people who live in Mississippi and I hope that they get their homes back...God bless Mississippi..
morgan you already know wat we been through with this i love my city an when i get back from iraq im going right baack believe that i love mississippi
I have family down there, and every time i hear from them, it's the old thing. No one is there to help. The people living there can't do nit all by themselves. Everyone is to busy dealing with there own damage to help each other. Thats why WE need to go down and HELP. Even after 3 years, things are not the same.
i lived there only 6 months worked at the palace casino..what pisses me off the most is that every time i tell someone i was a katrina victim they automatically say "oh you lived in new orleans" fuck them we were hit just as hard and i lost just as much. you never hear about how ppl are tryin to help the ppl in mississippi
Do some research on haarp. some say it can be suggested that this disaster came from non other then haarp. Controls weather, etc, etc. Do some research on HAARP. Youtube haarp.
Also youtube: phil schneider,william cooper,alex collier,david sereda,hutchison effect,robert o. dean,martial law,fema camps,underground bases,underwater bases,Al Bielek,etc,etc
The truth is out there. Do some serious diggin'(HARD RESEARCH) on whats going on.
Yea, I was there too. I used to wonder what Camille was like, but now I regret ever conceived the wonder. You're right, dudelove8. No human could ever imagine such a horriffic event without facing it personally. The hurricane destroyed my hometown and my feeling of safety to some degree, but nothing will destroy my spirit, nor none elses. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger...
I grew up in Biloxi Mississippi. I went back in 2006 and its horrible. I drove along the beach every day on my way to work, and I cried every day. Everything that I grew up around is gone. Even after almost two years, its still just as bad. Watching this video doesnt even halfway show how awful it really is down there. It just breaks my heart to remember how it once was, and to see it now.
Unbelievably sad yet beautiful and moving. It brought tears to my eyes. I love the MS coast and one of my best friends lives an hour north near Hattiesburg. I lived Katrina through her and my other friends up in Jackson. It's so hard to see images and video.
Excellent video. Very moving. I may not know what it feels like to live through a hurricane up here in Canada but I have not forgotten the suffering of your people in the Gulf Coast. The music and pics are haunting. My friend visited MS in 2003 and told me how beautiful it is and how wonderful and friendly the people are in the South. I wish there was more we could do for you all down there. You are in my prayers. We will not forget. God Bless You all.Love, Canada
i hope the that left come back and rebild it can be more Beautiful in the end. it was an awaking for everyone. even for the young this should be a Lesson on how valuible life is.
It's 11:30 p.m. here in Biloxi , MS. This brings tears too my eyes. I hate living here. It's just all gone. I miss my home, I miss everything I grew up seeing. What the hell do we do. Still in this dammned fema trailor. Day after day, it's hell. I miss my home. I just miss my home.
I miss Gulfport/ Biloxi too. The tears dont stop. I still have family there living in trailers and its so hard to not be there.I lost my mom 4 months before the storm and that still hurts too. I didnt even have time to grieve and then Katrina destroyed my world. I know you miss your home and I know I dont know you but I am so glad YOU are still here. God Bless and I will lift you up in my prayers. Please hang in there
The magnitude of that disaster is staggering - it is a wonder there were not many times more deaths than there were. At least you got away with the most precious - your own life. Take heart, and may you rebuild an even better life for yourself and your loved ones.
What a beautiful song, too, what a lovely voice. May I ask you what song it is and who is singing it?
I miss home. Mississippi gulfcoast. I still cry 1 year later. What a couple of hours and a day could make. I kept saying, maybe I will awake from this nightmare, and everything will be back to normal. I would be back inside my home, driving down the beach to Gulfport to my job. My house survived Hurricane Camille in Pass Christian, but not Katrina.
What a beautiful job you did on this video. It is a stark reminder of how powerful these hurricanes are. I pray that the people who were in the path of this mess are able to begin anew with renewed hope and the ones who lost their lives are in Heaven with the Lord and watching down upon us. Bless you for your wonderful video.
